Deep Rock Galactic: How to use the platform gun like a mad engineer

Deep Rock Galactic's engineer can be faster than meets the eye. His platform gun can do much more than you'd think and hopefully I can show you that in this video.
Since becoming a Platinum 2 engineer, I'd say i'm close to mastering the platform gun and I've been wanting to share my skill with the platform gun for a while now.
Movement together with the platform gun is the sole topic of this video.

There is actually a mod for platform placement that shows an outline where the platform will end up that takes into account distance and projectile drop.

However it accounts poorly for intervening terrain that is close to you, sometimes I forget to look at my actual crosshair when using this mod lol

If y’all didn’t know, there’s a cheese strat for hacking pods involving the platforms. You basically dig the hacking pod down till even the little satellite dish is barely sticking out. Make sure that either the terrain has an outcropping above the pod or you can put a platform structure to hang a transmitter node upside down on it.
When you have the connection, start filling up the hole, but there’s 2 things you must do. Press the button before finishing filling up, and don’t cover the satellite dish up. Just try to cover up the pod up to it. You should be able to ignore the pod and go to the next/get ready to fight the caretaker.

These are some mods I use and recommend, Platform Placement Preview, Googly Glyphids, Combined Resources, Death Marker, Spiffy Sentries, Sprint by Default, Hold to Walk is one I cannot live without, Class Icons Default is nice but I use different icons, for some laughs you should checkout the google translate dwarves and mission control, and to save time Closer Promotion Terminal (Updated), Fast Forging (Continued), if you would like me to list more I would be happy to.
