4:53 I was not ready for whatever the hell that was This has to be one of the highest effort DRG vids I've seen, although lacking a bit of polish and feeling a bit schizophrenic(but hey that's part of the charm isn't it) . Still outstanding especially considering your channel size. Hopefully they add a new mission type and/or a new biome in the next update. Oh and I love the YTP style crack edits.
The first game I ever played was Sid Meier’s Pirates!. And have been an avid gamer since. At 40 years old I can honestly say that, imo, DRG is the best fps coop game of all time.
DRG is a game you show to people who think "you cant expect more from the devs, they already do so much for their game" while in reality they release 1 update a year. DRG is the golden standart of whats possible when you truly love your game and not just pretend you do. Like Dwarf Fortress or Terraria.
@@TheBlackfall234 huh.. what is your beef with Dwarf Fortress? Those two love their game so much they refused to tread the path of looks over function. Arguably, the arcane hotkey setup is what made it unplayable rather than it's looks, but nothing one can't overcome with memorization. Disgea for PC was completely unplayable until I memorized and got the muscle memory down.
The level of new stuff you can do with just a single unlock will keep you around for a long, long, long, long time. Enough that I feel like my 200-300+ hours is not enough (I transferred from ps4 to pc and had to cheat back in my progress so I don't know what my current estimate is). Worth the price of 3 AAA games for the price of less than one, and nearly no toxicity as well. Side note: if you ever need help, ask around, people are open for giving tips
Deep Rock is the kind of game you show to other people who think "their fav developer actually cares cause he released 1 update this year" while actually not. Valheim is a good comparison. While i love the Game, its absolutetly clear that the developers dont really care that much at all. What they did in 2 Years, do other developers who truly love their game in months. Literally. Thats also why people got shitmad at the valheim devs when they asked them about the labour of love vote. Because it simply isnt and the "worst" thing is, you can show with games like Deep Rock Galactic and Terraria whats actually possible when you truly love your game. Valheim Devs solution to this is a ridicoulus banhammer, even if you say that the game is great but the developers are somewhat disconnected from the fanbase, youre gonna get banned. This is behaviour is just proof to me that they dont love their game. People with love for their Project wouldnt take the easiest route to shut up criticism. People who love their Game reimplemented Bugs that looked like Features because the game usually runs so clean. Fans want that "feature" back and thats when we get smol meteor showers. Thats what Developers who love their game do and it didnt take them a whole Year to do it.
Damn right! Ive seen no other game being treated as well as deep rock has. All the little details they add that only the experienced players will notice and listening to the fans' requests are things that most dev studios/companies lack these days (because theyre either stupid or just plain and simply greedy) I hope gaming in general flourishes from the few games that respect its players, Rock and Stone!
The chaotic, long, disorganized, long, psychedelic, long intro is not doing you any favors. The chaotic discontinuity of your editing also provides no sense of story, while managing to impart a meth-addict feel. Not trying to be mean. Just my impressions.
Ironically enough, I have done a lot of psychedelics in my time and I did most of the editing while on my adhd medication so your impression is more or less spot on I just stopped taking adderall though, without all that dopamine in my brain I now see that most of the editing was too much and before posting this vid already decided on a break from editing till the new year. Thanks for the feedback, always appreciate it and merry christmas!

4:53 was the craziest thing I ever made so you're not alone there
The crack edit was what started it all, it just wasnt enough until it was too much😂
Love the video, nice unique editing skills you have!
the best content always comes from the smallest of channels
The editing reminds me of Disrupt, I like it a lot
God dang your editing is really trippy, and cool! Rock and stone!
Editing looks proper mate. I could see you in the shitposting area of DRG as well :D
I have some experience with sentence mixing, really loved to make management say "you can begin smoking crack" lol
I absolutely love the editing style. It's chaotic and yet makes sense.
Rock and Stone!
This feels like the US military tried making a Max0r video. And I like it.
you made your epilepsy warning an epilepsy hazard bro flashing text and lights, did you even think about it?
Edit is really good, how long did it take you for the whole video?
Took a month, maybe like 90-100 hours if not longer (thats my best guess)!

@@torgrimhanssen5100 i used them as other positive examples.
Man I have to play this game, it's been lying around my library for long enough.
You should! It gets better the more you unlock, you get to survive harder and harder missions and get crazy overclocks

Top 50 on steam is pretty good, all things considered.

Same here, at first I was like is this it? But the I kept playing and I got a mission with a crazy cave and it... contaminated my brain💀
