    Suggested solution for your shoulder lights angle: make slots where you mount onto the bullbar, that way it's easy to make adjustments

    I'd suggest applying 3M's 50mil thickness clear adhesive material to your driving lights for projectile protection

    STEDI LIGHT BAR SOLUTION:
    Hi Troy, nice set up! I have the same rhino platform & STEDI LIGHT BAR ST2K + STEDI BRACKETS.
    Simple solution. The brackets supplied come in two main pieces, just use the first main piece only that attaches to the rhino platform ( the other extention triangular bracket isn't used). The big bracket pieces sit on an angle relative to the curve of the light bar. So when looking down from a birdseye you can see the plate isn't perpendicular to the rhino platform.
    The light bar only just fits between the roof and rack (5mm) + it tucks nice and neat under the rack and only the middle part of the curve protrudes out.
    I hope I've explained it well. LC200 2017 🤙

    Suggestion: maybe some night driving footage from in the cab with the different lights on and off etc.

      I tried to film at night but with a non-cinema drone, it looks like the lights are either stupidly bright or not bright at all so I didn't want to put any trickery shots in there. At the end of the day I was really happy with the STEDI lights and the combination that I had on the 200 and it's one of the main things I miss on my new car.

      @@TroyStaines No worries, yeah I'm looking at getting the 7" Stedi Type-X Sport spotties on my 100 series. Or I just go el-cheapo and get King's lethals. I rarely use high beams as I'm in the burbs so I like the idea of having the covers on most of the time.

    No such thing as too much light.

    Hi Mate,
    Curious to which method you used to get the wires up to your lights on the roof rack. Cheers

      Hey mate - I’ve got two thick cables running up each side of the windscreen - there’s like a plastic mold on each side and just a few dabs of black Sikaflex holds the cable under there nice and neat. It then just slips down into the bonnet from there. You have to be looking for it to notice it. Hope that helps :)

    Enjoying the vid’s Troy thanks. Can I ask for details on the eBay headlights? Mine on my 2008 Sahara need de-yellowing and I was going to wet&dry them then give them a clear coat but interested in replacement set, especially since I plan to get the Stedi LED’s also. Thx

      Thanks Stu! I just had a look back at my eBay history and that listing is no longer active unforunately. I'm sure if you jump on eBay and scour through the listings for 200 Series Headlights you should be able to find something. I tried everything for cleaning up my headlights, and normally whatever I did would last 1-3 months and they would yellow again so I highly recommend getting them changed if you can.

      Troy Staines ok thanks. I can see some for around the $400 a pair. Did you buy genuine OEM? What year is your LC200? It looks like some are upgraded style with lower LED strip of lights integrated, did you change the style or stick with original look?

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  4 роки тому

      Mine were about $400 a pair from memory and they weren't genuine OEM - they are an aftermarket kit. My cruiser is a 2008 and the lights I've put in do have the lower LED strip daytime running lights included so it isn't a "stock" look - most people who ask me think that I've put the face lift model 200 series lights into mine but they are just aftermarket ones.

      @@TroyStaines Thanks Troy. I've found some on ebay, but nothing compat with the 2008 model which includes the daytime running LED's. If you find an email with the name of the ebay supplier and can share it that would be appreciated. Otherwise i'll keep hunting. cheers

    The lights inside are terrible. Very yellow which makes it feel quite dark.

      I couldn't agree more - definitely could do with an LED upgrade to a cooler colour temperature just never got around to it :)

    Nice work mate! Totally different question which you may have mentioned in a previous video....have you weighed your car as it sits now?

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  4 роки тому +1

      I have yes - it weighed in at 3585kg but that was just at a joe blow weighbridge and with draws and fridge empty but full of fuel. My mechanics have just got a proper scale system so they can individually weigh each corner of the car so that'll be done next service just to triple check exactly where I sit.

    • @roamnround
      @roamnround 4 роки тому +1

      Troy Staines ah cool mate, heard loads of stories regarding weights from factory and stated weights being incorrect and how easy it is to stack it on, will be good to hear how heavy after it has been done proper mate! 👍🏻

    • @TroyStaines
      @TroyStaines  4 роки тому

      I agree mate heard lots of horror stories. To be honest I think anyone that has a fully setup tourer is towing the line when it comes to weights which is why I want to get it weighed properly moving forward to ensure I'm still legal.

    • @roamnround
      @roamnround 4 роки тому +1

      Yeah definitely mate I’m so paranoid about weight and legality. First thing I did was pre rego GVM as high as I could take it with so much money involved it really just isn’t worth it!

      completely understand mate. I wouldn't be too stressed mate honestly I think social media and forums make it seem a lot worse than it really is.
