- Bella is pleased and Rikki wary when Cleo applies for a new job as an assistant dolphin trainer at the marine park. But she is soon in over her head, when Will visits the park, and takes a swim with Ronnie, and his influence has the dolphin performing tricks that he has never done before. However, head dolphin trainer Laurie mistakenly thinks that it is Cleo making Ronnie perform the tricks, and offers her a spot in the marine park's dolphin show.

It really does, the characters got older and their hair and clothing styles changed a bit, the camera quality got WAY better, the juice bar is gone, and Emma is replaced by a new girl!

i find it so jarring how Emma and Rikki used to constantly butt heads, but now that Emma is gone, Rikki is now the one thats frantic about things and worrying all the time about dangers and keeping the secret, and Bella is the new Rikki, a bit more reckless and care-free. it's odd haha
I noticed rewatching the series that although they were complete opposites, Emma and Rikki were always closer to each other than they were to Cleo (but the three of them were very close together, obviously). You never really saw one on one scenes with Cleo and Rikki except for a couple times.
I guess they didn't want her to be an exact copy of Emma so they changed Rikki and gave the new girl her own personality
Perhaps it’s a coping mechanism (adopting her maneurisms)... Or maybe I’m just over-analyzing this. 😂

I don't think that's necessary a bad thing. It's probably difficult coming up with a plot line too. Plus the new characters with new personalities and also new places makes for a bit of a twist.
