However, when you're in a position as she was in, having someone do everything for you or cling to you so much, it's kind of annoying and stressful, especially since she had to master her powers on her own and learn on her own. So that's why she did the right thing and broke up with him. But I'm glad they got back together because Clewis was meant to be.

honestly though, they should have just told the others what actually happened: this episode seemed so pointless and annoying. Zain spilled drink on emma. say sorry. So, to make up for it he covered for her. Emma mis eard and ash innocently and rightfully kicked zain out. zain doesnt tell full truth and neither girl listend to the full story. team rikki/zain cheat and it's all in vain.

I commented in the episode where everyone learns where Rikki lives, there is a spot where Rikki and Zane are fighting, and Rikki jumps into the water to get out of the fight. Zane instinctively looks around to see if anyone saw her jump in. He takes protecting their secret very seriously. He just still has a lot to learn about interacting with people. But he is doing a lot better than he used to. I am actually ticked off at what they do to Zane in season three. Most of the character development disappears and he just turns into something of a trope: The writers either use him to cause problems or he is a go-to for solving problems, but he doesn't do a whole lot as an actual character.
I'm 22 and I'm not going to judge myself for watching this at any age. I see this show as an art. Jonathan Shiff and the crew have been creating this masterpiece with such love and passion for that. And I'm really thankful for their sense of beauty and aesthetic. It needs a huge talent and imagination to film like that. Those tails, moon pool, Mako, underwater scenes, music, the mermaids theory and actually every screen view are aesthetically gorgeous.
Same here. I'm 21 now and I still watch this show because of the effort gone into the story and especially the underwater scenes. They had to train a lot to get to that point. The tails are incredibly heavy underwater and holding your breath for long periods of time isn't the easiest thing.

It's funny. When Cleo said that it's our anniversary Lewis freaked out thinking that Cleo said it's his and her anniversary yet she said it was her and her friends.
The fight between Emma and Rikki was kind of unneccessary, really. When Emma accidentally got juice on her in the JuiceNet Café, Zane really did try to stall Ash so that Emma would have enough time to lock herself away before her mermaid tail appeared. Emma thought that Zane was just being mean to Ash for no reason, but he really was trying to protect Emma, just like he told Rikki.
She never liked him even after all the stuff he’s done for them to save or protect their secret. For some reason she never sees him as a genuine friend and good bf to Rikki.
@KenyaGirly Yes, I support Emma, too, because I understand why it seemed to her that Zane was only being a jerk. Plus, he obviously could have found a much better way of distracting Ash than starting a fight. I’m just saying that Zane did spill on Emma accidentally and he really was trying to help protect Emma’s secret from Ash. Even though he obviously went about it badly. But there was bad communication all around that led to the fight between Rikki and Emma being much worse than it had to be. Zane should have found a better way to intervene with Ash and after the fact he should have made an effort to be nicer and to tell Emma that he had actually been trying to help her. And Rikki should have listened to Emma’s perspective instead of only listening to Zane. I can see all of their sides here even though I think all of them made mistakes.

Neither, well I guess Zane's because it's his explanation that set off Rikki. But I would say it's Emma's and Rikki's and isn't really either boys fault. Surprised everyone blames Ash. Ash has no idea what's going on and was just trying to defend his girlfriend. Zane knew what was going on and did what he could to help. Emma didn't stop to think that Zane hasn't been rude to them since he and Rikki got together and was only saying that stuff to stall and Rikki didn't take the time to hear what Emma heard Zane say. So all are at fault, except maybe Ash, but I blame the girls....

Hey, seeing how this is set before mako mermaids, what happened to that sandy patch/ledge where they could sit in the moon pool? In mako mermaids there isn't one, just a tiny rim along the edge of the pool. I like this moon pool better to be honest. I like this whole series better!

The fight between Emma and Rikki was kind of unneccessary, really. When Emma accidentally got juice on her in the JuiceNet Café, Zane really did try to stall Ash so that Emma would have enough time to lock herself away before her mermaid tail appeared. Emma thought that Zane was just being mean to Ash for no reason, but he really was trying to protect Emma, just like he told Rikki.

She never liked him even after all the stuff he’s done for them to save or protect their secret. For some reason she never sees him as a genuine friend and good bf to Rikki.

@KenyaGirly Yes, I support Emma, too, because I understand why it seemed to her that Zane was only being a jerk. Plus, he obviously could have found a much better way of distracting Ash than starting a fight. I’m just saying that Zane did spill on Emma accidentally and he really was trying to help protect Emma’s secret from Ash. Even though he obviously went about it badly. But there was bad communication all around that led to the fight between Rikki and Emma being much worse than it had to be. Zane should have found a better way to intervene with Ash and after the fact he should have made an effort to be nicer and to tell Emma that he had actually been trying to help her. And Rikki should have listened to Emma’s perspective instead of only listening to Zane. I can see all of their sides here even though I think all of them made mistakes.
