- Valentine's Day comes to the Gold Coast, and the girls all seem to be having trouble with love. Rikki finds that the stress of running the cafe is destroying her relationship with Zane, Bella's crush on Will deepens, but she finds it hard to tell him of her feelings, and Cleo is less than impressed with Lewis' idea of a Valentine's date; fishing. Even Kim is having serious 'boy trouble'.

Don is definitely an underrated character. He’s such a good tv dad. And I’m glad that with Kim being older, she’s less annoying
It's a better actor too. No wonder why Don was in all 3 seasons and most episodes compared to other parents.

After watching the series again, everyone talks about how the girls powers reflect their personality: Emma can be Cold to people, Rikki can be hot headed, and Cleo goes with the flow/is in control. And Bella (who can make Jelly/Crystal) also goes with that since she can be very soft/shy or very strong-willed determined. I think that's a pretty cool writing!

This is my favorite episode. I love the ending where Cleo teaches her Dad how to dance again. It reminds me of how when I was three I used to dance in the kitchen with my Dad. Dad and I have had our ups and downs, but one day I would like to dance with him again...I get a bit emotional talking about it too!
Ik my comment is 6 years later but I can relate to this. My mom left my dad when I was 7 years old and he worked so hard to keep my brother and I safe and healthy while also balancing work and being a parent. Dads are so underappriceated

I love Cleo but when she snapped at Lewis I really got angry. She fought so hard for him when Charlotte was around, and now 2 years later she pushes him away again. Don't get me wrong, I get why she hates fishing, but she could've said it in a softer way, maybe even gave an idea of a new way to spend time together
Also, it's kind of sad that we didn't see Cleo dressing up and going to a fancy date with Lewis
I thought the same! When I saw Lewis fishing on his own, I was desperate and hoping that Cleo would show up with a little present for him or something. But instead, he shows up for her all dressed up. He's too good for this world.
the thing is with how long they have been friends, and the duration of their relationship you would have thought he might have cottoned on to the fact his girlfriend- who is a mermaid and a fisherman's daughter- doesn't like fishing. though I agree she could have done it in a gentler way or suggested an alternative, like offer to show him the sea from her perspective as a mermaid. must know some great secret locations. I don't really think she fought for Lewis all that much, she pushed him away then when he tried to move on she pouted and sulked and then ran away. Charlotte was the one who gave the ultimatum fed up of both of them being led on, Lewis chose Cleo. Cleo didn't fight for lewis she fought to save her own tail

I’m not saying she was on her best behavior this episode but I do think she was kinda stressed with her sister and dad stuff and she did tell him she didn’t want to go fishing but he kept insisting. She should’ve been nicer to him about it and he should’ve listened to her wishes, a relationship takes two people, not one. He did understand at the end and it wasn’t like she was still bitchy about it, they had a cute moment there by the end. All good❤️
