- Watch the full episode 25 of H2O season 2 :) Charlotte's short-lived friendship with Emma, Rikki and Cleo is over, and she forbids boyfriend Lewis to talk to them. When Cleo shows concern for him, Charlotte lies to her, telling her that Lewis doesn't care about her any more, and wants nothing to do with her. A fight leads to Charlotte taking Cleo's locket, and when Lewis does nothing (believing that Cleo gave the locket to Charlotte, because it was her grandmother's), an upset Cleo is convinced that Lewis is on Charlotte's side, and leaves a heart-breaking phone message for him...

H2O - Just add water is about three teenage girls who can transform into mermaids.😮
After a night bath in a lake, everything is different and as soon as Cleo, Emma and Rikki come in contact with water, they transform and get a mermaid tail. After further experimentation, the girls also discover they have supernatural powers over water like boiling or freezing water. They try to keep their secret from everyone else which makes their everyday life anything but simple. 🧜♀️🌊

Is no one talking about how abusive Charlotte and Lewis's relationship was? There was all the signs of abuse: shutting out his friends, telling him who he could talk to and hang out with, taking his phone in order to control him, lying to him in order for him to pity her/ manipulate him. I think this should be addressed. As a kid I just thought it was because she was just mean to the others, but there's a lot more to it than that and people should be talking about this. Watching this as a kid I could see how this made me think that abusive relationships are how you can keep control in a relationship, even though in this case it didn't work.

She was talking about how much more "mermaid" she was than the rest of them only because she had all of their powers. For everyone calling Cleo immature. She isn't. Lewis should have been open with Charlotte in the first place. However Cleo and Lewis were friends way before they even got together. And Lewis was very overbearing when all he wanted to do was care for her.

Both Cleo and Lewis were wrong, Cleo should have told Lewis to tone it down a little bit instead of breaking up with him. Lewis should have been clear with Charlotte that he still likes Cleo

wow. the scene where emma says “if cleo’s still missing when the 24 hours are passed, the police will need photos” is so, so quiet. one thing i noticed while rewatching this is that there’s always a lot of ambient n background noise. there’s so much goin on in every scene, ppl talking, seagulls, waves, movement, etc giving the show a dense, lively atmosphere and makes it easy to immerse into their world. when they’re all sitting on the couch its dead silent…you can feel the gravity of the situation, a dad desperately waiting for any sort of news regarding his missing daughter, and the girls wondering if there was something they could’ve done to prevent this, everyone worried and uneasy. it’s so tonally different from everything else we’ve seen so far. i felt like I was watchin a different show for a minute.

I see Charlottes reasoning for why she’s acting the way she is because she just wants to be loved, cared for and obviously when she saw Lewis it was “love at first sight.” Unfortunately the way she’s handling it, isn’t going well. The girls don’t like her because of how she’s taking away Lewis, (their best friend, someone who’s helped them through it all) and then the lies, the manipulation, Charlotte went down hill. Because of that, I lost the part of me that felt genuine happiness. This is a reminder to please feel the emotions you may be hiding from yourself. Share that burden with someone or just let it out. Lewis never even liked Charlotte, she just wormed her way in
So my theory of why Lewis actually got in the relationship with Charlotte in the first place is because he couldn’t exactly tell her he only let her kiss him so she wouldn’t see his mermaid friend in the water, his number 1 priority was always keeping Cleo and the girls safe. And after she kissed him she just assumed they were dating without asking him if that’s what he wanted, she was super aggressive and pushy in the “relationship” and wouldn’t let him voice his opinion and wishes. And he’s way too soft for her, he didn’t know how to tell her he didn’t really want to he with her. I’m not saying he didn’t like her as a friend, I think he did, but he never really wanted to date her. I’m guessing he went with it because Cleo kept telling him they shouldn’t get back together and he decided to give her a chance, but deep down he always knew he was in love with Cleo and in his heart he never stopped loving her. It does happen with teenagers sometimes and the smart thing to do in those situations is not to start dating anyone while you’re still in love with someone else but obviously I’m writing this as a 24 year old and he was 16 so I’m cutting both him and Cleo some slack for their behavior… I love them both regardless but my point is Lewis never ever stopped loving Cleo so that thing with Charlotte was never going to work out❤

That parallel of Lewis pulling Cleo out of the water is pretty amazing. In the first season, in the pool party episode when Lewis first found out Cleo was a mermaid Cleo held out her hand for Lewis to take, and he pulled her out. In this one, Lewis holds out his hand for Cleo to take and he pulls her out of the water together. The water is a symbol of cleos despair, in the first season she was looking for an understanding friend out of Lewis. In this season the water represents cleos longing for Lewis affection. It’s pretty cool

To ha Because the tears come from inside your body and tears aren't real water and plus when water is spilled on top of them that's when they turn into mermaids
To Ha tears are salty liquids secreted from the body. Tears are liquids, but liquids not composed from water (H20, chemical reference). It wouldn't make sense if they transformed everytime they'd cry.
