I took a quick grip wood clamp apart and reversed it. I can spread the shoes enough apart to change the wheel cylinder without having to take the brakes apart.
That seems like a good idea. On my stuff, I've found that I'm usually the first one in there and that everything needs cleaned and lubed anyhow though.
@@TheBrokenLife This is my 2nd '95 wagon. They are both LX wagons w/1.9 liter engines and 5 spd manual trans. The 1st, white one, got totaled, and I bought the green one so I could reuse the parts which included a remanufactured engine, new tires, and I had rebuilt the suspension on the 1st car.
@@practicalman45 That's almost exactly how the second Escort came into the picture for me. The first one died of terminal rust when the throwout bearing went so the second one came home and got all of its good parts. My wagon is the 3rd one.
My last escort head almost a million miles on it , rust in peace. The one I have now has paid for itself three times , gas very little Maintenance , Newer money pit late model pick up, notice they Discontinued all bulletproof Vehicles , No money to be made.
@TheBrokenLife I went through. 3 of them, 94 and 95. Bought this one in Florida. Over 8 came from Washington State. behind a motor home most of it's life Sense new , Over two hundred Thousand miles on it now working on breaks 🙂 Michigan is hard on them
@@jeffshark4 This is my 3rd as well. 93 and 95 coupes and then the wagon. The first two saw some battle for sure. Howdy from south of the border. I'm in Indiana. 😁
@TheBrokenLife That is a really nice looking car you have. Mine look brand new eight years ago . I found another one in California, 40000 miles. On it? I'm not going to get it.
I love UA-cam. This is my exact car, color and everything.
😆

@@TheBrokenLifeI don't know if you're still on here but if you are could you message me when you get this pretty please and thank you
Thank you. I really appreciate your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for watching them! 👍
My '95 wagon has 5 lug 14" rims. The paint is exact same color as yours.
I've never heard of an Escort with 5 lug wheels. I think even GTs are 4 lug. Interesting!

I bought mine for about one week of pay and put about another week of pay of parts into it spanning over 7 years. 😂 It's hard to complain about that.

@@jeffshark4 I'm just barely south of Michigan, so I get all of the same wonderful salt. My wagon certainly shows it... 😔
