I thought something was odd when gumiho's army didn't seem much smaller after the ramp slaughter... 26:22 I watched it again... Omg he picks up all his low HP marines. God tier micro...
this was a hell of a match , I watched live couldn't believe that gumiho could pull off something like that at the end, but I always thought his micro was underrated
To be fair, as a GM P and T I could tell you what he did was basic stuff at the end of the game... everyone at this level of play could do this props to him for pulling it off with the pressure but that was clearly his game to lose since toss has no answer to libs without tempests/carriers
@@ludovicgomessilva404 I mean yeah but he still lost a lot of libs and he came close to losing the match if showtime made the right calls, but come on man that micro was insanely good , did you how insanely close those mauraders to dying, he literally lift em couple of times before taking stalking last killing shots
This reminds me of the time before the widow mines got heavily nerfed, terran were just unstoppable. Here it feels it's honestly the same, the medivacs are almost a cheat in good hands, surely they'll get the nerf hammer soon. Still crazy match!
This game with the guerilla tactics and moving around the map was more interesting than all the generic "suprise your oponent with a build hes not prepared for". Ofc I am a beginner so take my opinion with a grain of salt but from a viewer perspective this was very entertaining.
Gumiho rushing while Showtime had zealots in his base was such a strategic failure. That’s the difference between him and someone like Maru is the ability to read the game in the midst of all that. Still won though.

It’s hard to remember that fog of war is still turned on. Pros make it SEEM like they see everything just because of their game sense. In Gumi’s mind if he drops the mules, they’d instantly get picked off, then he’d have no catchup mechanic. (At least that’s what I’d assume.)
@@Brianlikescars showtime was going around building constant workers and bases and managed to build like, half a dozen based while being attacked and having them destroyed over and over. Gumi had like, 4 ccs including one in the far corner he could’ve just sent to random corners and made scvs instead of just flying around doing nothing occasionally making one marauder with his one barracks.
after seeing protoss abuse zerg with cannon rushes into immortals with warp prism micro so many times, it felt good seeing terran doing the same thing back to them with marauders and medivac micro.
Still not as close as Fantasy vs. Soo For those who don't know that legendary game: Fantasy sniped Soos last Overseer, and his last unit (Cloaked Banshee) with 10+ corruptors sitting on top of it, he manages to take out Soo's last walking Spine Crawler with only 1-2 energy left on the Banshee.
While this game was great and I could never pull off anything like those two, Im extremly confused by Showtimes decision to focus on the marauders all the time. One would think that after losing two fights to hot pickups he would have learnt his lesson and kill the flyers first, but he keeps wasting shots on marauders that get saved anyways...
well, the micro battle goes both ways. the marauders are being attacked by the probes, nearly underneath the dropping zone of the medivacs. that's a testament to gumiho's control with not just the marauder targeting, but the medivac control. if he is not perfectly focusing down stalkers every time he drops, with both marauders, they'll eventually drop low enough that he's forced to pickup and leave. and if he's desperate enough, he has to pick up with the closest medivac, meaning the stalkers can blink and chase down, forcing a premature drop. literally that's what happened in a few occasions.
Bro play this game against advanced ai nuke all their expansions if you play it right they stop producing units but the amount of units they can have before you how quickly they can pop them out
Terran is op. The skill cap is highest out of all races so as pros get better terran is actually broken since everyone is approaching the skill cap of what is physically possible with each race.
Honestly this was imbalanced. The fact showtime snuck out 23 probes and had to run around building nexuses to stay in the game but Terran can just fly orbital commands away then land and call in mules to get back in the macro game without saving svc's is so stupid. Orbital commands shouldn't be able to fly
How gumiho could have made the game not as close: doing literally any macro at all with his spare APM. Terran buildings that fly: CC's that drop mules; starports that can build liberators and medivacs without addons. Barracks can build marines without addons Buildings that fly can scout nexus locations passively while looking for spots to land Building more Orbitals means more mining, mules, scans, and SUPPLY.
Right?! I thought for sure that Gumiho would need to push his tanks a little further forward and start shelling the Nexus, but his patience paid off. The Overcharged Battery was used but it was too far away from the fight to have much of an impact. That was *crucial* for sniping the second colossus before it could be pulled back to safety. A massive play, such great game sense from Gumiho.
Holy sht are ppl really this stupid to think Hero represents the protoss race? Him losing to Clem or Serral doesn’t even matter. What matters is that protoss is the least represented in not just finals but across the board in tournaments. Learn to use brain

What is ShoWTimE wearing on his hand in the second game? Glove? Rag? What is that thing?
It's Gumiho, who is wearing kind of a towel/glove, because of sweaty hands. He's called the towel terran, because of it.
