I love her interviews from this period - she seemed to be calm, healthy, happy and almost glowing from within after finally kicking heroin in the late 80s. I hope that by loving her music so much I was, in some small way, a part of the force that kept her going all those years. RIP Marianne.

She was magnificent. Her later albums are wonderful. Very sad she is gone but her music remains. ❤A true bohemian.

What a life lived on one’s own terms. I’ve been thinking how lucky I am to have seen Marianne Faithfull perform live twice. She’s a story teller on stage.

How graciously she handles this interviewer, no ego and so humble. Really, nothing about her career and her music, just the tabloid headline questions. I agree she should be lauded as an inspiration for her extraordinary strength etc, - but to focus solely on, and then to close with - ''you continue to fascinate us all with your resilence and courage'' - really - what about her talent! That's certainly what I will remember her for.

She was pretty cool, plus she owned a dalmatian.
