like others have pointed out, Aim-9 is infrared not radar. The a-10 doesn’t actually have a radar so it has to use infrared if it wants to shoot other planes
You should use NATO icons, it looks more immersive

id like to hear more about the tactics involved and what micro'n entails. you show a lot but you dont really explain what you are actually doing. im still kinda lost.
Most players use infrared based air defence, not radar based.
I'm just trying to learn how to not lose my planes every time I use them

Pirated this game recently, the tutorials were fun albeit tiresome but then the game itself, there appears to be 1 campaign and like 6 scenarios and that's it. And it's not 1-5 units like the tutorial, it's dozens and dozens of units and their AI function is garbage so you have to micro everything. Big learning curve.

So any aircraft with SEAD will automatically fire? I don’t need to issue an order for it besides a move command?
I believe so because they are looking for radar signatures.
