What if I warmup with 6 sets, and feel the best on my 3rd working set (of 5). I don't want to pre-fatigue too much but I'm also not feeling activated or mobile enough in my arch and thighs
@@132poundsofpower I benched today, first full session in about a month! My 1RM is 190. Warmed up with 75s rest 45*12. 75*10 95*8 115*4 135*2 I then did my work at 135*8 with an amrap of 14 on the last set. I do 2mins rest. Set #4 was the "easiest" in the sense I did all reps without stopping for intentional breathing. My knees are very tight (I position heels under my hips) and they definitely need a lot of attention! Mainly my VMO. Love to know what you think. Ideally I bench on Sundays.
@@urgamecshk I would day drop the last set up of 135 (its a little too close to your actual working set). The next would be to give yourself 4-7 minutes in between sets. you are doing a lot of reps and you need to give your body time to recover
@@132poundsofpower interesting. I just dropped my rest times from 3-4 mins to 2 for sake of getting more overall volume in my 1hr sessions and don't see much of a difference in difficulty. I listed my weights in LBs.
Finally a warm up video that makes sense. No roam rolling, band stretches, over complicated garbage for 30 minutes. Just move the bar
Her shirts says greatness does not just happen. Pay attention to her workout. She puts in work. Her greatness isn’t an accident. Great athlete!
Jen, 82 year old inspired by your training tips and the highest level of strength you have achieved,
Love it!! Pls do one for OHP!!
Do you feel in your case that if you train overhead press helps with your bench press?
Not really. I just like to do them to keep my shoulders strong and have a balanced look.

I would want to know what you are doing for those 6 sets :)
