This is by far the most informational video I have yet to see about the 05, CLK 55 amg. Keep it up! I’d like to see more videos of it in the near future. Such as modifications. Seeing the stock dyno numbers. The most power you could get out of it on stock ecu and things like that would be cool.

So you were the guy that bought this before me! I was about to fly out from California after talking with the guy. Should have put a downpayment down. 6500 was a steal. Proud owner of an 04 clk 55 in silver now though. Quad tipping it soon. Breaks next. Cheers! glad it went to someone worthy of the car.
Yes I remember him mentioning a buyer from California! I just got super lucky knowing the seller otherwise it definitely would’ve slipped away, his phone was blowing up with buyers it was crazy.

Hey bud I just found your channel love ya work. I have the same car 06, mine has different front and tail lights. It's my first Amg I was keen on the c63 coupe but I was worried about cams etc.
Maybe next one but I'm super happy clowns say it's slow but I think it's fast.

Welcome to the club. Proud owner of a 2005 Coupe in Cubanite Silver here since 2016. Only 247 coupes in 2005 were delivered to N. America. 1st and 2nd gen AMG's are very underrated but finally starting to get some respect. The W209 CLK is so good because it is one of the last of the "analog" V8 AMG cars and not overburdened by all the tech that issues of later generations.
The W209 is a CANBUS car with modules all over it. It is far from analog!
@@wizardindustriesusa True, but compared to every other Mercedes AMG of this year it is lol even the SLK 55 had more electronics in the driving experience.

I have a 2006 CLK55AMG with 130K miles AND… my alternator just died. So I’m sitting here waiting on a tow truck and watching videos trying to see if anyone replaced the alternator themselves.

Any v8 clk is a blast to own. I have 05 avant-garde 5.0 liter.Secondary cat and rear muffler delete otherwise no mods ... yet.
Cheap, reliable, simple and fast german muscle cars and a future classic, particularly for the AMG's.
Just bought my First clk500 V8 After having two 320s and one 350.
Mine has the amg Package with the original 55 amg exhaust , keyless , distronic it is fully Equipped exept cooled seats and has only 95k Miles and the best thing is I only paid 7700 Dollars
I just picked up this car's brother a few weeks ago with 181k miles on it! Silver 2005 CLK 55 AMG with the Avantgarde AMG Sport Pkg. 18" wheels, and big 6-piston brakes, along with the quad exhaust. I have a question btw, I have a code for heavy-duty rear axle and idk what that means but it's got rear gears from the E55 I think and it's cooling fins. All of us W209 CLK 55 owners need to create a registry because there's a LOT of unknowns going on with our cars. Especially when, technically our 2005 CLK 55 AMG Coupe's with the Avantgarde Sport pkg must be one of the rarest Mercedes-Benz/AMG Models ever made! With only 247 Coupes in all for 2005, how many of those had the 18" wheels, special appearance package, quad exhaust, special rear axle, and Avantgarde pkg? P.S Just a heads up, I would NOT perform the 2nd recall for your sunroof because the chances are minor that they'll replace it and the test they use actually destroys your sunroof rails, motors, bonding already on there.
Mine is CLK 320 2004 love the car wood 🪵 oak steering wheel cabin feeling like I'm in Hawaii or across the ocean 🌊 with cuban in my bad woman by my side🙏

I was looking at this exact car, i'm in Philly. I saw it for sale in upstate NY then it popped up again shortly after down by you. Was close to pulling the trigger but I have a W208 55 AMG i love and didn't really have the space. Glad to see it went to someone who will take care and enjoy it. Good stuff

Just purchased an 03 55 coupe in the UK, only 2 was for sale at the time, both over 100k miles but I didn't care because I don't want to be worried about how many miles I am doing. If it's high then it's already high 😂. I had to travel from the south of England to Scotland to get it though... as expected, I absolutely love this car 😊

my 03 clk 55 amg doesnt have a screen in the middle and the dual quad tip exhaust which makes me sad

Someone is selling one. Inder 100k miles. Its a 2003. Do you find the maintenance to be SUPER expensive?
I have a 05 with 129.000 miles. Had it over 8 years. Just changed brakes, and do regular oil changes. Just like any other car if you do it yourself.

With all due respect, I can't trust someone's opinion starting a video with a Car Stand. That's purely saved for High School students, and you don't look to be 16-17 years old. But than again I could be wrong.
Close enough I'm 22, but doesn't matter how old I get I'll still have fun with an old set of tires before shelling out for a new set. That's the fun of an AMG!

I notice your front corner reflector lens is silver instead of the DOT required orange. Did you paint it silver or it was aftermarket? Silver reflector looks nice in a black car 👍
The previous owner replaced it with a clear aftermarket reflector, however I'm thinking about wrapping them black so it wouldn't stick out as much. Definitely looks better than orange though!
