When you said about a clean panel, it raised a question that I need to ask the county inspector. I installed an Energy Monitor with 16 50A Circuit Level Sensors in my cutler hammer panel. While I took great care to be clean and well organized, it’s a boat load of sensors and monitor that must be in the panel. I love the system because it tells an awesome story on loads, phase balance, etc. I strive for safety above all and have learned a lot from your channel. You have been a mentor to me on a number of aspects. Thank you Joel.

I’m sure been asked this before. Is there a shortage of electricians in USA and if so how do we get younger or older folks including women to consider being trained as an electrician?

We tell them that it's complicated difficult and arduous to understand and they might not be able to get it, then we remind them that not only can the get shocked, but they can also get electrocuted a mashup word from the 1800s that means electrically executed.. as in death... remember to use the word death when telling them this. Then you point out that construction jobs are often considered menial and lowly jobs...

The smokeys "smoke detectors " should not have there own circuit, that is wrong, they should be on a lighting circuit from a light switch, and I just write the number circuit on a pice of shidding and attached it to the wire, it looks cleaner and professional and just reference to the panel schedule with the number on the circuit...!

More misinformation by you at 3:24 . Aluminum wire has not been used since 1981.
We use AA 8000 see 2020 NEC 310.3(B) which is an aluminum alloy and does not require NOALOX or pookie.
I suggest you watch Mike Holts "Aluminum Connection Termination Methods". Electricians U also has a video on the subject.

I like your channel, I like your content but there's something I can't put my finger on, that I don't like about the way you talk. It's like it's too, week and meager... not in voice, volume, though maybe tone, but I think it's more at word choice and phraseology... it just feels like your trying too hard at something or something ... I'll try to figure it out and put in another comment so that my criticism can be constructive. Not that you would or even should change, but maybe if enough other viewers seem to agree than you might consider a slight shift for the channel's sake. Maybe it's just me and I just need to get over it. I'm willing to face that very real possibly. At any rate, thanks for the electrical perspective, I'll definitely remain subbed... it's not bothersome enough to unsub or anything. Also, about my criticism, I'm talking in general not just this specific video. This has been bugging me for quite a while as I have been subscribed for quite a while. I'm just now deciding to mention it. I will say I have, _not finished_ some of your vids because of it.

You’re right. Sometimes I don’t give myself the privilege of being an equal :-( thanks for how you worded your criticism. It’s an area for growth.

Are the most recent videos improved in this regard? I thought I was genuinely growing

@@ElectricProAcademy Yes, I typically watch video as suggested by my feed (selectively of course) not in chronological order... but I just went to your page and watched _Hate being 1 part short?_ and yes, you sound way more confident. Vast improvement from this video to that one. I feel kinda dumb for not realizing that you may have already been aware of this and working on it, and checking for improvement before offering critique. That should've been an obvious first step. Good on you though.
Trust yourself, there's nothing wrong with your thoughts and feeling, so never be afraid to express them. If people take it wrong, clarification can happen, so it's okay to not say it perfectly the first time. Hopefully remembering that will help you speak with confidence... but you seem like your on the right track as far as that goes so...
