THANK YOU to every single one of you who have sat through this very long video 😂🙏🥲 I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness in this comment section. I couldn't have imagined how fulfilling sharing myself crying on the internet with 70k people would feel hahah! Whether you're planning a Camino, have just returned from one, or are maybe just experiencing it virtually with me, thank you so much for the love and for keeping the Camino spirit alive ❤
Stephanie, I'm so pleased I found your video today. I walked the Camino in 2019 aged 68, I was meant to go again in 2020 but the world changed for everyone. Now aged 72 I thought I was too old to go again and follow my dream of walking to the end of the earth (I caught the bus at the end of my last Camino) but now I'm planning on going in 2024. So thank you for sharing your Camino, like you, I will be walking for my parents who both passed since my last Camino. ❤👣👣
I have watched many Camino vlogs and have followed peregrinos on different routes. I can say hands down that yours is the absolute best I’ve seen. The homage you paid to your dad is a testament of the wonderful man he must’ve been. Congratulations for every mile, every tear, all the friends/family you made along the Camino, but most importantly congratulations on finding yourself. I’m in awe of the raw beauty you presented. I will never be able to walk the Camino because of health reasons but I gladly strapped on my virtual backpack to follow you. I’m still wiping tears away. Buen Camino Stephanie from Orlando, Florida.
😭 wow. Can’t even tell you how much this comment means to me. Thank you so so much ❤️ I’m so glad you could enjoy this journey virtually with me. Sending you a big virtual hug 🤗
You’re very talented and I can definitely see you directing/producing Hollywood quality films. If you’re ever in Central Florida I’d love to meet you - maybe a home cook Cuban meal might entice you!!! lol May God continue blessing you always and listen to signs because you have your own personal angel in Heaven. 🙏
Maria, you couldn't have explained my feelings better. Stephanie you have a gift! Your documentary allowed us the viewer to be a witness of the love of your dad, your mom (silent in the background) and the family that God placed in your "buen camino." This is, like Maria said, by far the BEST Camino video I have seen. I felt your pain, your love, your tiredness, your heat, your laughter, your struggles but especially the moments of pure joy, wonder and awe. Thank you for bringing us along on your very personal Camino. Thank you for capturing what is the reason for the walk!
I am 37 years old, I am from Ponferrada, I have seen pilgrims passing through my city all my life and I have never had the desire to walk el camino... until this video. fuck! It has been incredible, I think I'm going to dare to do it! Thank you Stef.
I and my wife met on a walk over 30+ years ago and Summer Winter rain or shine, even at 71 me, 65 her, we never miss a days walk (yes even in the hospital with nurses frantic) and we were so flabbergasted by your Camino vid....to think you averaged 25 miles per day, after day, after day. People never die that remain in the heart of one that loved them. You're such an inspiration.
Rogerrr oh my goodness 🥹😭😭 YOU are an inspiration, wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment. Your love/walking story with your wife is just about the most romantic thing I’ve ever heard 🥲 It’s easy to walk a lot for a month when there’s an end in sight. Your consistency everyday is much more impressive to me! I’m so inspired. Thank you 💖
Stephanie, as a 62 year old father of two, I want to tell you how blessed I was to watch your pilgrimage video that was dedicated to your father. As I watched, I was so proud of you…through a father’s eye. I know at this very moment, I know your dad is looking down at you and is so proud of you and your accomplishments, and I know he was with you every step of the Camino. And always remember…Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it” (Heb. 13:1-2). You may have very well walked and spoke to your father during your interactions with strangers you met on your journey. How beautiful! My health has kept me away from my Camino bucket list for five years, but I am better now, and with God’s help, I will walk the same trail as you did, in 2024. Peace be with you. (And great job on the YT video documenting the journey!)
A friend and I spent 9 weeks on the Camino 12 years ago, without pressure of time, just allowing the moments to unfold. Your film has come the closest of any that I have watched to expressing the magical quality of that experience. At the end of our journey we decided to live life as a 'Camino' from then on, following each moment as it presented itself to us, 'poco a poco', one step at a time and ended up travelling 'accidentally' for the next seven years, living magically as we came to call it, guided by synchronicity. Thank you!
I am a 59 year old man from Norway and I will say: Thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing you. And thank you for sharing your dad. Somewhere in the film you said " I can do it, and I'm going to". That phrase I will take with me further in to my life, from you. Thanks, and best from Norway😊
I discovered El Camino de Santiago maybe 25-ish years ago but like many pilgrims, have been unable to go while raising a family, career and being unable to take a 6 week break from work etc. Now my family are all grown up and I find myself single for the first time in 35 years but my health is now the limiting factor, diabetes and 2 heart attacks. Pilgrims videos on here, especially your's, make it increasingly likely that I will do it very soon before its too late.
It is certainly difficult to take a 6 week break from life! But if you're able to, it's sooo worth it 💖 Listen to your body and put your health first. Best of luck to you!
Stefanie, your video! I've seen many Camino videos. Yours is the only one that made me feel the true spirit of the Camino: the celestial walk into antiquity, the dreadful return to modernity, the highs, the lows, the blisters, the snoring, the unpredictability of the elements, the panoramic beauty, the multi-day, meditative introspection, the vulnerability when you allow the Camino to provide. I completed the Camino Frances in 2017 and have been longing to go back, but COVID had other plans. As a fellow New Yorker now living in the SF Bay Area, your sensibility resonated with me. Loved the sound track you selected too! Excellent editing. You have skills and a gift. I watched the video straight through and was transported to Northern Spain - perhaps needing to do another Camino... There was even a young woman, early in your video, who was part of my Camino family six years ago. (Vittoria from Italy at 9:21- had to pause and rewind a few times to confirm.) Thank you for taking me on your very personal journey (your father would be proud) and bringing me back to a deeply personal space. You lightened my day and filled my heart. Buen Camino, mi Perregrina! Daniel
The only people I desire to be around are travelers. Travel, especially Camino, is the great equalizer. People just come back to themselves when they're away from the lives they don't like anyway. Every video I see of the Camino shows people being happy, real, dealing with whatever they came to deal with, struggling, smiling, growing, resetting. Thank you for all your hard work on this. No one knows how hard it is to put something like this together until they do it. You are awesome for sharing your life on the Camino with us. Thank you!
Ahhh that is so beautifully said and SO TRUE. The great equalizer 💖 Also thank you so much Jack!! It was over 6 months of agonizing over the edit every day---I truly almost gave up multiple times 😂 So I appreciate the kind words very much! Haha
I am so happy you got to do the camino again and beyond proud of the way you connect with others in your path. You inspire me and challenge me to be better everyday and I am forever grateful to call you daughter. Your dad would be blown away by this creative expression of love!
This is inspiring. Not just the walk. Not just the emotion behind the walk. What shines through is the effort post walk that you have devoted to making a tribute to your Father. The hours you spent to make this lovely creation are such evidence of your love that still has so much depth. Truly amazing. Thanks.
As an older American there is very little chance I'll ever see these places let alone have chance to walk the Camino so coming along with you and your companions was amazing. Loved the journey and "meeting" everyone with you.
I leave for Portuguese Camino for 2 weeks today, walking from Santiago de Compestela to Porto over 12 days. I loved your U-tube video. At a young age you are beautifully vulnerable and open and give us the gift of sharing your genuine grief at the loss of your dear Dad, and your honest experiences along "the way." This is my eight time walking Camino's and as I journey from Dublin on the longest day of the year I still feel vulnerable but love the opportunity to be compassionate to myself and kind to others. I will be 64 in 2 weeks and life is good
I just decided at the end of last week that I’m going to walk it in February 2024. Starting from Lisbon. I’m going to need six months to get fit enough to do it, hence my doing it in February. I’m so excited. I wish you all the love for your next journey/adventure. ❤
I don't want to be presumptuous, I'm not your Dad but I am a dad and I can't imagine a better legacy than the sweet spirit that just shines form you. Wonderful video, thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
What a wonderful video. I would love to do a part of the Camino. I’m now 71 and can’t find anyone who wants to do it with me so that’s why just the last part as I would be on my own. I’m from the UK and my daughter lives in Barcelona. Maybe next May fingers crossed 🤞
Hello Stefanie, My wife and I completed our first pilgrimage SJPDP-SDC in 2017. What a beautiful video and tribute to your father you have created. With daughters your age...I know how proud your father must be of his daughter. Blessings always 🙏 M&B
Girl, I normally do not comment on UA-cam videos, but I want to congratulate you for pouring your heart into this one. It transmits your feelings! You are an amazing person ❤
My gosh, the best video of the camino ever! I was crying and smiling the whole video. I'm from Astorga and I grew up seeing peregrinos coming through my city since I have memory. I'd always wondered why people did the camino because when they arrived to Astorga they were tired and injured. "Why do people like that?" --the little me always thought. Well, last year I decided to do the camino. I will start my second camino in 2 weeks, and you've remembered me all the feelings and emotions of the first one. This time will be different but I hope beautiful too and full of surprises. Thank you for being so honest and to put on the table that feel and show yourself vulnerable it's more than ok. And who knows, maybe our paths cross some day! Buen camino :)
Good job... it's awesome remember my first camino 😎😎😎.... 33 days june to july 2023 san pied ... To Finisterre...i will be there again...i promise! Thanks for all you let us see through your way !!!🎉🎉🎉
Fabulous documentary! I actually started walking the same day that you did! I did not meet you but I recognized a number of people. You really captured the essence of the Camino and my favorite part was your friend at the end who said “I am perfect the way that I am”.
Ahhh no way! We must’ve crossed paths and not known it. Thank you so much for watching! I shared your comment with Josefien and it made her very very happy 🥲❤️
I finally got to sit down and watch this. Every video you do you pour your heart out and show your unvarnished self. With that openness you gathered an amazing group of friends around you along the way. As I said in another one of your videos I’m sure your dad is very proud of who you’ve become. When you hit upon the realization of that he meant when he said you have to be able to walk through fire I imagined him saying ‘Yes Mija!’ Un Abrazo from España.
You did this very well. If you ever walk again, start from Le Puy en Velay. The first two weeks are magnificent. I walked 70 days from there 2022. My lesson learned is to be in the moment, as every one has something of beauty to appreciate. Buena Camino pilgrim. Keep inspiring.
You did it, yes, well done. You did the camino and you take us with you, so beautiful person you are, your friends and you in celebration. Im sure your father, watch you and went with you, feel proud because your father is as well proud of you. I so please to enjoy this walk with you., thank you for sharing. Well done Stephanie.
That was simply amazing. You captured the essence of the Camino in brilliant fashion. My wife and I cried and she hasn't even done a Camino - yet she knows my own experience last summer on the Camino Frances and the amazing family I became a part of. I have watched many videos/vlogs but yours is extremely powerful. I, too, will be doing my 2nd Camino this fall...I'm not sure how it could be any better than my first but that isn't going to stop me! As I am fond of saying: "Without the people, the Camino is just one bloody long walk." Thanks for the memories and sharing your story. Cheers from your northern neighbour
Wow, thanks so much for sharing this Mark ❤ Hi to your wife! 👋 and Buen Camino for your second so soon!! I’m trying to figure out a way to go in September as well. I honestly can’t imagine it getting any better 😅 Hope you have a great time! ✨
Stefanie, this is a beautiful tribute to your father. Pretty sure he is looking down on you and very, very proud of you and the young woman you have grown up to be. Thank you for sharing this and letting yourself be so vulnerable and open.
😭 Thank you so much Colm! This sentiment means a lot to me and always cuts deeper coming from another father. Just saw your channel, gonna go watch now! 🥳
Thank you so much Stefanie for sharing your pilgrimage. Every second was captivating. The love for your father is profound and also your kind heart and nature is a joy to witness. I walked the Camino in 2008 and the memories came flooding back through your lense and your words. May we all continue to walk together with this much grace and respect xx Buen Camino xx❤🤝👋 Tania from Australia
Wow. I am 61 and this has been one of my dreams for decades. You are a special and brave person with a beautiful soul. You inspired me. God bless you and your family
At first, I thought I had found this video. Eventually, after many days of watching and reflecting I realize, this video has found me. In some crazy weird way I needed this. I don’t think I could find the words to say why, but I feel it. Thank you Stefanie.
I just watched this whole video in awe. I’ve heard about the Camino walk but didn’t know very many details. Your video made me feel like I, also, was able to experience some of the magic of walking the way. I especially enjoyed when you spoke to the young man about his spiritual awakening & feeling God’s presence.
I’m 65 years old and you touched my soul. I’m not sure who the older woman you bonded with, but I hope to meet a young woman like you! I’m going on the Camino Frances beginning 4/1/24. I’m so looking forward to the spiritual adventure, meeting people from all over the world. I’ve never been to Europe believe it or not, but I believe I’m going to fall in love with Spain! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
I enjoyed this movie so very much. It was beautiful! The life-experienced lady at 2:02:05 actually gave me hope that one day I can experience a thru hike in my later years. I'm 48, married, raising two ladies and when the time is right, I'll go.
I didn’t want to stop watching. I cried and had goosebumps many times. This is a beautiful video and you are a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing your journey and giving us a window into your experience. As a 64 year old I would love to do this exact route but I don’t think my body could take it.
Finished my Camino with my daughters . I am also a ramp agent for an airline and your story is the reason I have this gift. Thank you. I know that you carried a lot of weight in equipment. Thank you for the time to edit your footage at create a compelling video.
@@StefanieHurtado I did the Camino Portuguese, I have been home in the states for two days, riding a wave of peace and gratitude. It was hard and it was hot and it was one of the best desisions of my life. I was grateful for every step. I know that if you had not made this video I would have put this off and maybe never done it. Thank you so so much. The impact it had on me was to not to put off living your dreams, tomorrow is not guaranteed. While I was gone my mom got sick and went into the hospital. When I arived home she was scheduled for a surgery that she was too week for doctors to preform it. She entered hospice today. The peace I have from my Camino is still with me , making this hard part of lifes transition easier. I want you to know that you are changing lives and not everyone takes the time to let you know it. I will aways owe you a debt I can not repay. Don't stop sharing your life you have a gift that impacts people in ways you will never know.
@@johnmartin1148 Omg John 😭 This left me speechless for a very long time. Thank you so much for sharing your story. To have that feeling of peace with you through such a difficult time is SO profound and so beautiful, and really shows the power of the Camino. Your story definitely hits harder because you're a ramp agent like my dad. I know how hard you work and what it takes to provide for your family. It's a really big deal that you were able to do this trip with your daughters. I didn't get enough time with my dad. But I feel like it's story that is living on and inspiring people, which is more than I ever dreamed of at this point ❤ Thank you again for this! I can't tell you what it means to me 🥹
This is an absolutely outstanding film. It's the best amateur production I've ever seen on youtube or any other platform. You have enormous talent and I really hope you can find some kind of outlet for it. I know nothing about the film/tv industry, but they have to be looking for people like you. They'd be nuts if they weren't. And yet, part of the overwhelming charm of this, is that it isn't in any way commercial. If you'd been trying to produce something to sell to an audience, it may not have worked as beautifully as it did. Its charm is its honesty. I was raised Catholic so I'd heard of the Camino. I've even been to Lourdes, which isn't far away from it, I think. I was quite moved by what goes on there. It rebuilt my respect for the religion, and the very genuine priests and nuns who've given their lives to it. I wish I had their faith, but I just don't. I really don't know what brought me to your page as I didn't consciously seek it out. But now, having seen such a magnificent film, I'm thinking that maybe one day I'll try this Camino craic. Maybe Croagh Patrick first though! God bless, and thank you for giving so much of yourself and sharing the friendships you made. 5 stars.
Thank you so much for this. I'm planning my Camino for next year. Your story, the stories of your fellow camino family - are inspiring and insightful. It's videos like these that shine light in my life whilst I myself am walking through fire right now ☀️
Wow 😭 thank you so much! This means so much to me. Everything you said is all I could’ve hope for someone to feel while watching it. Sending you so much love for your walk ❤️
30 seconds in and you have me crying. Thanks for being so open and vulnerable about your experiences on the Camino and beyond. Helps me to build on my own from some years ago. Looking forward to going back and to seeing more of your work! RIP to your dad - beautiful hommage
There were so many times when you or someone said something about the Camino, and it just hit in the feels that I instinctively would go to click the like button but then realise I've already done it. Your journey as amazingly inspiring. I start the Camino soon and it's been on my mind for almost a decade and as the day comes closer I've noticed myself worrying about "what if I don't feel something at the end", "what if I don't find what I'm looking for". So when you said that right at the start after your first Camino, "why didn't this solve everything", I'm glad someone else has addressed that. And I'm grateful that you shared this experience of you walking the Camino again but seeing it in such a new light. It's helped me realise that I've just got to walk and allow things to happen themselves. Thank you!
I love this comment so much ❤ Thank you!! Yes I think it's good to know that the Camino is magical, but doesn't cure everything. It's sometimes just the beginning of a bigger journey inside. Have you done your Camino? I would love to hear about it! Hope you're well 💖
Our mom walked the Way from SJDPP to Astorga before cancer took her away. A year ago we walked the rest of the Way with my sister to finish what our mom started. Have been longing there again ever since. One day again the joyrney continues...
I walked the Camino from SJPP to Fisterra a few months before you did, and of the many Camino videos I’ve watched on UA-cam before and since yours captured the experience the best by far. Watching it brings me back to so many special places and moments (and even helped me remember a few I thought I’d forgotten.) Thank you for sharing your journey!
What a man your father was. His wisdom resonates through you. He wanted to know if you knew "The Way" and how he wanted to do it. Not only did you know The Way, you knew the Camino twice. And it seems your father was with you on both journeys. Very touching to see your love for him with each step.
Your story has made me laugh, cry, and you made me see how much I need to walk that and do my pilgrimage. Bless you, bless your family, and thank you for making this video 🙏🏽
I was blown away by this. You are such a pure soul. You faced your fears of the emotions that you knew you had to release, and you did it. Be proud young lady, as all of the beautiful brave people who you met on the way. Blessings.
I am walking the Camino in September and have watched all of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all of your experiences and your vulnerability. I love all of your videos, don't stop making them. You have such a lovely spirit and it is so felt through your videos.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for making this film, I smiled and cried with you... I'm going to do the camino this year and am now more exited than ever :) :) thank you xx
Hi Stefanie, Just wanted to leave you a little message to say first of all......Thankyou for sharing the reason why you walked the Camino and for also sharing the friends (Camino Family) you met along the way. To sit and watch any video for 2hrs and 2mins and NOT want it to end is very rare. You have a GIFT and being able to share your emotions and facing each one along the way was truly heart warming to watch. You met lovely people who all had their own reasons for walking and all should be so so proud- Your Dad will be forever in your heart and part of you always❤ Love Rose xx
Thank you so much for sharing your camino journey with us. Watching your video made me laugh and cry and i felt like i was with you. I walked the Northern way in April but had to cut the journey short because my partner was very unwell. My camino journey may have been cut short but that short journey gave me so much back than i anticipated. My desire to walk the full camino is still deep in my heart and watching your videos made my desire even stronger. Thank you again for sharing your journey and so sorry for your loss. Your father's phrase 'Learn to walk in the fire and not get burned' will stick to me as it resonated with me. Congratulations & Buen Camino Stefanie 🤍
Aw wow 🥹 Thank you so much for sharing this! I really think the Camino teaches us exactly what we need, just when we need it. And it will always be there for you when you’re ready to return ❤️ I hope you and your partner are doing well now. Thank you for being here. I too hope to do the Northern route some day very soon! 🤗✨
Sometimes...I'll go watch Camino videos to feel reconnected again...to humanity and something bigger-thanks for sharing your beautiful story-I do feel more connected, light, and grounded now =) Wish you a buen camino on your future trips and in life!
I’m so happy that I stumbled upon this!!! I walked the Camino Frances in July 2022 and this brought back so many memories of the towns, feelings, and people. I loved revisiting the Albergue’s. I’ve never seen a vlog that is so authentic. You express yourself well on camera! Wish I documented my Camino with this level of detail. Guess I’ll have to do it again.
Dear Stefanie, I just finished watching your documentary and what a beautiful tribute you have paid to your beloved father, he would be so proud of you. Your Camino did not end in Santiago, it only just began. You take the Camino with you and eventually you will realize what a blessing you have been given by experiencing it all, including the sore feet, heat, cold, hunger, sleep deprivation but with all of that came some wonderful moments & tears, friendships, encounters with people that said something touching and whom you may never see again, those are moments most of us say 'the Camino provides and it is a life changing experience, if you let it'. Your dad will always be with you, in your heart. It was a very enjoyable and moving video documenting your journey. Buen Camino Pilgrim💖
Since my 2018 Camino, which I neither photographed or recorded I have been dipping in to other peoples records - because I need to remember just how wonderful it was. Thank you for posting your film, which is the most moving and echoed reflection of my experience. With love Nick
My dad died suddenly and unexpectedly last year at the age of 65. I just found you and was enjoying your gear review, and have now subscribed. I'm sorry we have this loss in common. Beautiful journey to remember your dad. I will be doing a trip to Mt. Fuji in Japan next year, something that makes me think of my dad a lot as he loved Mt. Fuji.
Oh wow 💔 Sending you so much love. My dad was also 65, and it was also very sudden. The first year is by far the hardest. Your trip to Mt Fuji sounds incredible-I hope it’s restorative for you ❤️
I´ve watched many different Camino videos before, but I have got to say that yours just touched me in a way that the others didn´t. Keep walking the camino from now on in your life. Don´t forget the things you´ve learn there. Wish you a happy and fulfilled life.
Thank you for sharing your intimate personal relationship and physical walk. I had never heard of this: It looks ardurous, but something I wish I could do! (no $). It looks more than fascinating!! 💗💗💗 Thank you for sharing with us, so we can experience even a small amount of your rewarding experiences!
I enjoyed watching your journey as it helped me relive so many memories of my Caminos, the joys, the pain, the people. I'm 67, but not yet retired so I do segments. 10-12 days at a time, I learned that from the locals. I start where I left off. I seek faith, I find people and places that inspire me. It is addictive. You brought your father back to life for me. Thank you for sharing.
My mother-in-law attempted Camino in 2016 from France and had to stop due to injury. She returned before Covid with her best friend and walked from Portugal to Santiago. I really appreciated this vid-journey as you captured much much more of the esprit and what the journey does and is supposed to do for you. I sent this to My mother in law and would love to hear her thoughts. She belongs to a community of Quebecois who have made the journey and gather a few times a year just to be in each other's company and rejoice in the experience. Thanks to you and this video, I get it, I get why she went. Thank you.
It seems like the connections with people, the emotions you experienced, and your spiritual reawakening were the greatest takeaways from the journey. I admire how difficult it was and that you made it to the end. Very inspiring!
I watched this video for the second time today. What a wonderful video on your journey in honored of your father. I lost my father 9 years ago, my uncle who was my second dad 7 years and my only sibling, my brother 6 years ago. I have so much pain in my heart. My brother died 2 months short of his 50th birthday. I'm turning 50 next years. I'm planning to do the Camino in April of 2026 in honoring of my brother and to let go of all the pain and baggages on carrying. Thank you for your video.
Hi Shailee!! Thank you so much for sharing your story 💖 I want to give you a big long hug!! I hope you have a magical Camino in 2026. But know that Camino healing begins as soon as you decide to do it ✨
Hello I have not got a chance to Do the walk, You blog has inspired me, You're so spiritual, opening up to get to know yourself. Much Love, I appreciate you.
Sorry my English writing, Stephanie. Congratulations for this so beautiful and inspiring video. In 2016 I did the camino with 2 friends. Central Portuguese camino, from Porto. It's was very good because I was lost and just after 3 days I discovered my purpose. Anyway, I did the rest of The Way to Santiago. Now I feell a new call into the Camino. But I would like to do it alone with all the stars. 2024 Wil. Be the year of the Camino from my house in alentejo (Portugal), to the north following the Yellow signs with many stars in the horizont. Buen camino.
What a journey! What a spiritual experience! How many friends along the way! This was so empowering and touching. I cried, I laughed, I enjoyed every single minute of the video. Your father was with you every single step, and you were absolutely right to put his name on the Compostela. Bravo Stephanie! and thank you!
thank you for this Documentary. my daughter talked about doing this and i never really knew about the Camino but after researching it something clicked and there is no doubt I HAVE TOO do this I hope her schedule works for us to do the whole Camino together but if not im sure we will meet somewhere on the route. thank you for sharing Stefanie and im sure your Dad is looking down on you with the biggest smile . God Bless
Hi Stefanie, just wanted to thank you for an absolutely awesome documentary on your CF…it sooo mirrored mine but you really captured so comprehensively all the magic of the many Camino moments , especially our fellow preregrinos…..and then you overplayed it with your grace, charm and beauty….can’t be there this year but felt like I just walked a bit of it this morning, thanks again❤
Stephanie, this is such a real and moving experience that you have shared with the world! I have had the Camino in my heart for a couple of year but never really. thinking of the possibility of doing it. Your movie has made me remember that life is one step at a time. I would love to do the Camino someday soon. Thank you for sharing yourself and the love for your father with us. The way you are is a testimony of what an extraordinary person he was. He lives on in you! Blessings to you and your mom.
I lost my husband this past may and i have been looking to have an adventure to find myself and fortify my faith. my deacon did the camino and told me that it might be something that i might want to do. watching your video of your journey solidified that I'm going to walk the Camino. i will be alone as well but it think it will help me center and become closer to God and this gave me peace being a woman doing the walk alone. thank you for sharing your journey and i am sorry about the passing of your father.
Oh Erin, I'm so sorry for your loss. I think the Camino will be a wonderful thing for you, even if it's challenging. I hated my first Camino because it made me confront so many awful feelings of grief and fear, but that's exactly what I needed. I hope you get what you need from it too 💙 I'm planning a video for everything you need to know as a solo female on the Camino, specifically. I hope that'll help too. Lots of love ✨
@@StefanieHurtado thank you so much, I’m definitely going to watch your next video. Thank you for sharing your story, you’re helping strangers strengthen themselves by doing so.
I loved this! I laughed I cried and just felt so inspired. I loved your journey but also the words from the different travelers you encountered. I’m so sorry for your loss of your father but he seemed like a wonderful man who would feel so proud of you. Watching this video it’s like you could feel his spirit walking along side you and with every person you encountered. God bless. And thank you for the inspiration.
Oh my goodness 😭 thank you so much. He really was the best Dad-he still is. His words continue to take care of me all the time. This was beautifully said, thank you.
My younger Sister Laura also did the full camino in 2023-From France ,across Spain to SanTiago ,then right to the ocean ...(end of the world) a very inspirational journey.. Thank you for showing me your experience and that of your camino companons ... Buen Camino ! 👍😊
I congratulate you on your achievement, your dad would be very proud of you.👍

I'm lost for words!. How joyous and inspiring. Well done to all and thank you for sharing this wonderful documentary 🙏❤
I’m going on 74- and I am hoping to walk the Camino! With younger friends whom I mentor. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
I’m doing my 8th Camino starting May next year (2024) , I’ll be 71
@@rubenmontero4813 These comments just made my day!! You all are so inspiring 💖 Best of luck to you on your upcoming Caminos!! 🥳
@@rubenmontero4813 Buen camino.
Also hiii Orlando! 🤗 I grew up in Deland!! 🥰
What a great film. Thank you.very emotional and very inspiring.🙏
Wonderful documentary.
Very brave, insightful and inspiring.
Also GREAT USE of music and a nice voice to listen to.
I am 37 years old, I am from Ponferrada, I have seen pilgrims passing through my city all my life and I have never had the desire to walk el camino... until this video. fuck! It has been incredible, I think I'm going to dare to do it! Thank you Stef.
Ahhh this makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing Miguel! I hope you get to do it 🤗
I and my wife met on a walk over 30+ years ago and Summer Winter rain or shine, even at 71 me, 65 her, we never miss a days walk (yes even in the hospital with nurses frantic) and we were so flabbergasted by your Camino vid....to think you averaged 25 miles per day, after day, after day.
Thank you 💖
Gorgeous share. Arturo y Debbie, you raised a strong young woman❤
Thank you so much! I have always loved that quote 💖 Were you able to walk the Camino this year? Hope you're well!
@@StefanieHurtado Yes! I was able to walk the Camino Frances in April/May. It was life-changing; God-winks all along the journey.
@@rcgrizz Ahhhh that's soo good to hear!! Congratulations! ☺
Thank you!
Wowww, what an adventure that must've been! So cool 👏🏼✨
One of the best 2 hours, I've ever spend on UA-cam. Thank you for sharing those wonderful moments 🙏🏻
🥲wow 🙏🏼 thanks for watching! 💖
I am a 59 year old man from Norway and I will say:
Thank you for sharing.
The great equalizer 💖
Also thank you so much Jack!! It was over 6 months of agonizing over the edit every day---I truly almost gave up multiple times 😂 So I appreciate the kind words very much! Haha
I’m in such awe of your story telling, so brilliant. Thanks so much, you’ve inspired my own journey! I walk Aug/Sept 2024!
I walked the Camino last year, and am doing the Portuguese and Norte back to back. Love seeing your story!
I am so happy you got to do the camino again and beyond proud of the way you connect with others in your path. You inspire me and challenge me to be better everyday and I am forever grateful to call you daughter. Your dad would be blown away by this creative expression of love!

This is definitely a high quality documentary, well done Stefanie. I was captured by your journey for 2 hours and a lot of thoughts, thanks!
I appreciate that so much, thank you!!
This is inspiring. Not just the walk. Not just the emotion behind the walk. What shines through is the effort post walk that you have devoted to making a tribute to your Father. The hours you spent to make this lovely creation are such evidence of your love that still has so much depth. Truly amazing. Thanks.
🥹 thank you!! It’s nice to hear that translates. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼
As an older American there is very little chance I'll ever see these places let alone have chance to walk the Camino so coming along with you and your companions was amazing. Loved the journey and "meeting" everyone with you.
This is so touching to me 😭 thank you for being here. Hopefully I can bring you along on another Camino very soon 🤗
Stumbled upon this and ended up watching the full two hour video, so raw and beautiful. Thankyou for sharing your authentic self. Buen Camino

Congratulations Stefanie on Walking the Camino and your beautiful film of it .I know your Dad was with you and is very proud of you.🎉❤

This comment 😭 thank you so much!!!

Wow, 70 days Journey. I have heard of a 30 hike. I am not sure I can do 70 days, unless I was extremely fit and younger.
You did it, yes, well done. You did the camino and you take us with you, so beautiful person you are, your friends and you in celebration. That was simply amazing. You captured the essence of the Camino in brilliant fashion. My wife and I cried and she hasn't even done a Camino - yet she knows my own experience last summer on the Camino Frances and the amazing family I became a part of.
Thank you so much Benedikt 🥹 I can’t wait to go back too ❤
There were so many times when you or someone said something about the Camino, and it just hit in the feels that I instinctively would go to click the like button but then realise I've already done it.
That is so touching 😭 thank you for sharing!! I hope you get to go back soon 💖

Thank you so much Dan 💙 Congrats on your Camino! ✨

Thank you for sharing with us, so we can experience even a small amount of your rewarding experiences!
Poetic and poignant. Thank you for this Stephanie! This was some lyrical story telling. Your Dad would be/is proud.
Thank you so much ❤
What a superb video. The best I’ve seen about the Camino. Inspirational. Congratulations and thank you
My mother-in-law attempted Camino in 2016 from France and had to stop due to injury. Thank you.
Heartbreaking and heartwarming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story.
It seems like the connections with people, the emotions you experienced, and your spiritual reawakening were the greatest takeaways from the journey. I admire how difficult it was and that you made it to the end. Very inspiring!
Yes, exactly, well said 🤗 thank you so much!
This is by far my favourite Camino video and the one that best shows the friendships made on the Camino.
Truly, one of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen on UA-cam....just amazing and very inspiring!!
🥲🥲 thank you so much Thomas!

Thank you for your video. Very moving. All the best to you.
This is so sweet, thank you!!! I hope you get to have your Camino soon ❤
I hope you get what you need from it too 💙
I'm planning a video for everything you need to know as a solo female on the Camino, specifically.
Yes! ❤
Oh my goodness 😭 thank you so much. He really was the best Dad-he still is. His words continue to take care of me all the time. This was beautifully said, thank you.
My younger Sister Laura also did the full camino in 2023-From France ,across Spain to SanTiago ,then right to the ocean ...(end of the world)

Absolutely wonderful storytelling Stefanie. And to see all the love. That's what it's about, finding love for others, nature and for yourself.
