What a crime that this wasn't officially released. It does look pretty easy, but it's got that real NES atmosphere, music is subtle too. Could've been called Power Blade 3!
You could buy it here in Eastern Europe as well, not only in Asia. I remember quite vividly playing it back in the day, used to own the cart 15 years ago or so. :) It's a really easy, fun game you could pop in and play through on a Saturday evening. I also like the random level succession, that''s an unusual mechanic for the time...
What a great game. I dont understand why so many already complete games that was not released at the time. So good we have how to play them and record it in the gaming history
I guess they cut their losses. The added cost of producing and distributing cartridges would not be likely to result in enough sales to make it worthwhile, despite the game being finished.
Weird premise. Seems almost like a fake or parody game, rather than a real one. Decent music and graphics though. Definitely looks a little unfinished, or maybe it would never have been more polished than that? For how late in the NES lifecycle it was made I’d have expected a little better overall. Nice of them to wish you good luck at the end, anyhow!
It is a little sluggish but it would be great if you could speed it up a little bit. The game mechanics remind me mostly of Ninja Gaiden. I used to subscribe to Nintendo Power and this game looked really cool when they hyped it up. I wish a hack would come out that would fix the speed.
I can see why this didn't see wider release. By that time it should have moved a lot more smoothly. Everything seems clunky and mostly unpolished. That just would not have cut it at that late date.
Unreleased? Damn I just found it on a bootlag gba cartridge i have with lots of nes game And man the game is really fucking good and didnt even look unfinished with the exeption of the lack of sound effects
Probably Taito didn’t want to release it on NES because pretty much NES was pretty much gone and SNES was the thing so pretty much this game would have been overlooked on NES if it came out back in the day

Loved this game. It burnt into my memory. I even could recall some moves from decades ago

The Nes wasn't "hot", at this time. After 1991 (the Snes release year, in USA), the Nes sells were shrinking.
On 1993, the platform was almost buried.

Im playing right now on a SNES MINI. Cool game. Took me a few hours to be it.Its a fun game.
The way he punches, it resembles Sonic Blast Man.
That would make sense, now that you mention it. I think was done a few years after the arcade and the SNES Sonic Blast Man games.
Well they're both developed by taito
"I'll give you a powerful new weapon [which you'll only use when faced with mounds of dirt]."
Why were there so many people kidnapped and tied up yet with powerful weapons ready to hand out? Lol
1:46 Same music used on Super Mario Bros Wonderland 87
I really liked this game, probably because they used a modified version of the Rockin' Kats engine. I have the asian cart for a decade or so now.

This doesn’t look too bad. Shame it wasn’t released

It is a cruel joke that Time Lord was released and this wasn't.
this game looks pretty cool! its a shame it never got an official release! any idea why?
I dunno - I'd guess because it was 1994. It would have been a guaranteed non-seller with the NES being all but dead at that point.
@@NintendoComplete I think I’ll get revived at some point
