Absolutely love her commentary, so chill, yet so interesting not over the top which also perfectly matches her smooth riding. She has a very nice flow both in speaking and biking
100% agreed I was locked in from beginning to end
I LOVE HOW I COULD RELATE TO HER SO MUCH. I am a female fixed gear rider in Cambodia, I have mid-size body and currently recruiting female riders here! I just ride with 2 girls yesterday and it feels so amazing 😭❤️ and how we both hates walking, i tried to but I just can’t 😢 Have an amazing ride Leticia!!
"i'm not a bus either, but here i am" lmao, nice ride as always
that was cute when she said that❤
Leticia representou demais, a energia dela é maravilhosa. Única, amiga e muito coração!! Lalalalalalaaaiiiiiii 😍
Leticia is he best we haaaave!!! Proud of you, my friend!! It was amazing to watch you here representing us 🇧🇷🐝 You rock 💥💥 LALALALALAII
Do you guys jump red lights just like her? :O
@@ddawg3230 yes hahaha sometimes is safer to jump red lights than to wait in traffic bc bike theft, specially if you're on a super duper different bike.
Caramba que fod@ ver uma brasileira no canal do Terry. Do mesmo bairro que eu trabalho ainda. Parabéns Leticia 🍀
That was so nice! Always interesting to see people ride in cities that they don't really know. Was so nice to hear talk about Brazil also!
Good that she finally got a good pizza😃
Cool ride! Leticia is brave and awesome, loved listening her talking.
I’ve never tried to ride fixed and I’m scared to try, I’m not this brave either, but watching this type of riding among cars definitely give adrenaline rush from just watching. Kudos you guys for the amazing ride (NYC is one of the places I’d love to one day visit and maybe ride a bike through)
Don't be scared! If you ride daily for a week or two, you'll really get used to it and achieve what can only be called 'flow'. After 2 fixed weeks, it was so anticlimatic riding a freewheel bike. I'm not a big fan of skids so I keep it 'reasonably dangerous' with a front brake, it's extremely useful and safe.
Ride on!
It’s easy! Try it
Greetings! It's been a long time since i saw the first video from you in 2020. Your videos influenced me to start cycling. I still ride today. Got a lovely road bike and is the best choice i have made in my life. Thank you for all the videos you make. Sending all the best wishes and positive vibes your way. Bye. 🙂
so fucking stoked on the little differences being explained between here and there by someone from there visiting here. was like an interview, but totally not. feels of real life and having a conversation with a homie while rolling to the next spot. paz, amor e respeito, Leticia e Terry B 🙌🏽
"Don't wanna die in the USA, I have no health insurance" continues to grab on to a bus while riding a breakless bike wihtout helmet in NYC.... badass ngl
It’s not sustainable. You can get away with it until you don’t. And then you’re super super hurt and can’t do anything.
Yeah the stories of the people on this channel will end with disability or death.
@@chocolatewheelchair Im also surprised about jumping red lights...is that allowed for cyclists? Seems very very counterintuitive if yes....
@@ddawg3230 it’s absolutely NOT allowed in NYC do it. It’s illegal. When I lived there in Brooklyn the cops would stand at the traffic lights and try to catch people. They’d be in cars parked at intersections. Sometimes on foot leaning up against buildings to blend in. Very aggressive tactics. I HAVE BEEN harassed by them just for riding my bicycle in my 20’s and I don’t go through lights but I did pop a CURB to avoid a garbage truck and I got a ticket with a mandatory court appearance. It took an hour standing there while they ran my ID. and it was 20 feet from my apartment door! No remorse! And, it was traumatizing.
@@chocolatewheelchair Looks like they do unnecessary crap while this lady freely jumps red lights xD
Your case definitely sounds extreme and I'd hate them for it but I wouldn't mind if they were aggressive with anyone jumping red lights.
Now and then when I'm having a heavy week I just come to this channel and throw one of your videos on and I always feel much better afterwards.
Terry truly made my day being a smart man and bringing her to a better pizza place great ride and content as usual. Thank you for the upload brother.🎉❤
Leticia representou, super querida, papo leve, pilhava mto esse giro! Quando vierem pra Porto Alegre vamo de bici ❤
this is one of the most wholesome video i’ve seen on this channel ❤ she’s talkative but in a calming and relaxing way. I love how she compares the differences with San Paulo, Brazil to New York❤
Yay! Thank you!
@@TerryB you’re welcome!
She rode those streets like a BEAST!!! and shout out to the camera guy for keeping up with her!!!!!!
Ta pourra, representou demais 🇧🇷 VESPAS 🖤
to boiando, oq é vespas que ela falou? comecei nesse meio recentemente:(
@@symbiosishunter vespas é um pedal só das minas em sp
all the best bike riders i hear say they have been hit and even run over by cars and Leticia was even in a bike lane...as a rider take nothing for granted... Love your videos Terry.
I was in the bike lane when I got hit Bedford Ave Brooklyn and well yeah that was a terrible day
It must be really cool to ride a bike without motorcycles on the streets. Here in Brazil you have to compete for space with them on any street and even on bike lanes. Great ride, Letícia. Go Brazil! 🇧🇷
BR NA GRINGA ! pow pow pow pooow ! esqueça tudo !
ó o Bici aí também kk salve mano!
@@junioorelias aicalica!

Such a chill ride. This is the only way to see a city.
She's really lovely. I loved listening to her story. Thank you for sharing 🙏♥️

@@1Matheusmbp sim, só procurar por Letícia Nakano
It´s Brazil in Times Square! Go Letícia!!! Proud of you!
I'm not too big on cities. I live on the opposite side of the state, but have never been to NYC. The only reason I want to go is to bike through the streets. All the videos I've watched always look so fun.
Aeeeee Brasil representando!!! 💛💛💛
A maior que temos! Voa Naka ✨

VAI BRASIIILLL, VAI VESPAS. Letícia representou muito 💛

Nossa! Uma brasileira de fixa em Nova York... Bateu até uma pequena inveja aqui... espero um dia poder pegar minha magrela e andar pelas ruas dessa cidade...
i love fixed gear, it satisfies my riding experience new subscriber from Philippines
beautiful video and great ride! almost knocking down Spiderman at 20:05 but riding through the street like this is really the closest we will come to being Spiderman if you ask me. Big fan of all of Terry B videos.
Only 22 minutes?, love listen her talking on a commute ride
What a fantastic ride, and no you certainly don't talk too much. Thanks for the conversation...x
How did I randomly watch some of your vids last night only to see you Premiere something today after posting nothing for 2 and 4 weeks? We are in the Matrix.
UA-cam’s algorithm is just too good!
Nós fala pra carai né bicho! brasileiro é brabo dms!!! Vcs tem que falar bando de gringo, se comunica porra! Satisfação do corre ai mana, representa dms!
Loved this! Can she please make a UA-cam, I'd watch it all the time!
I never have felt comfortable on a fixed gear, then again I'm still riding my 1998 hardtail MTN bike with street tread tires as my everyday bike.
FODAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA é o BR na cena fixa!!! ESQUEÇA TUDOOOO!!! parabens leticia, mandou mtooo
@17:35 great response Leticia 😄
Muito bom, Letícia! Deu até vontade de voltar a pedalar
What a fun video! Loved Leticia's vibe, go Vespas!
I just love how brazilians find other brazilians online, you place the brazilian flag in your videos and you'll be bombarded with comments in portuguese, tmj galera, abraço grande.
soo cooool!! Loved the ride loved her vibes 💫
it's funny because I can see myself also just going to NY to go ride around!
Such a fun experience probably.
It's my kind of extreme tourism haha.
nice interview in the streets. love it!
Carai mano q mina gente boa hahahaha video bom demais, arregaçou Leticia!
Coming from UK on the 26th of September. Wouldn't turn down the opportunity to go for a spin ;)
Hi Leticia, check out Brooklyn prospect park. Beautiful bike lanes.
Good luck to you.
Muito foda e inesperado! hahahah muito bom, Letícia!
Badass intro shot Terry!!
Parabéns Leticia...show de bola!!!!!!!!
lol That girl can ride. I love that you fixed her opinions on pizza in NYC.
I enjoyed this and glad you showed her a good spot to eat.
Leticia is wonderful and Vespas bike gang change my life 💛! Lalalaaaaaaai VAI BRASIL
One of the sketchiest bike lane issues no one ever talks about are the rats darting off the sidewalks since covid. If you're in a dark bike lane late night they will literally dash between your wheels. Way safer to ride right down the double yellow lines. Also raccoons.
probably 10yrs ago i was biking at night coming home from work. I was riding in the middle of the street and an opossum ran out and smashed right into the side of my front wheel. i almost did a header, it scared the shit out of me lol.
Hmm I’m much more concerned with getting hit by a car then getting hit by a dirty filthy nyc rat
Super nice show. So how long would it take you to ride NYC from one end to the other. I would love to ride NYC some day.
A que da hora hahhaha não esperava por essa! Yo! thats cool I wasn't expecting this hah
Nice vídeo ,I'm also from Brazil and I ride fixie in Toronto!
I imagine myself in another dimension riding fixies on the east coast instead of Cali.
Super cool girl! Thanks for this one Terry!
Que viagem!!! Pedalar pela Times Square e com pizza no final!!! Fui junto... S2
15:23 ohhh she’s half Japanese!! SAME 🥲☺️🇯🇵 love her even more🩷
Vamo que vamo! Representando BR!
Wow she's preaching! Heck yeah. What a badass.
Amazing Leticia! Represented Brazil a lot. Go Vespas!
loved her vibe hahah 🇧🇷 ameii
Que episodio maravilhoso. Leitica representou demais,.
Love that fixed/ss bike vibe but many riders "suffer" main character syndrome
Come ride with us, Terry! 🇧🇷
Jumping almost every red light but complainig about others... solid selfawarness.
Inspiração demais! Que orgulho, que mulher!!
Awesome ride! I miss Manhattan. A Cinelli is my new grail.
You're beautiful, and the fact that you can talk so effortlessly while pedaling a fix gear is wild.
representando FIXA do BR, valeu Terry B e Leticia.
nice that Terry took her to a good pizza place before she had to leave
These are so cool - long live New York fixie culture!
But I think electric bikes will take over because much faster and easier right?!
Such funny timing. Just when I was hoping you were going to post a video I see this!
hahaha love the montage of funny quips y'all!!
Nice gear Ratio just perfect 🤩
Ja montei uma barra forte fixa em Londrina nunca achei ninguém pra andar comigo dai estes dias vi uma menina igual a vc o mesmo luck e andando de fixa kkkkk agora me pegou esta recomendação do UA-cam
“ I don’t know the fuck where I am” hit me right in the funny bone 😂
As a cyclist myself, I can strongly advise you for your safety, don't go between the cars in traffic. As you said, the doors can open suddenly . Another thing that may happen one day is maybe when you go to drive between those vehicles, what if they're too close together and you lack the clearance to get between them Successfully? What's going to happen If you get stuck and thrown off course or maybe you bump into someone's mayor or maybe two of them Just because the cars aren't where they're supposed to be spaced properly apart? That's why around here it's not smart to ride between vehicles , especially if those vehicles happen to be moving. All the driver has to do is merge the car suddenly by jerking the wheel when they see you coming and crush you against the other car Please look out for your safety and don't go between the cars, it could be the last thing you ever do and you could lose your bike in the incident . Plus, the cops could find you legally liable for making a wrong move and putting yourself in danger
Also, don't try to hang on to vehicles, not smart
Doing these things can land you in the hospital For an early grave. Plus, you can end up losing your bike when it's crushed under a vehicle. A bike is no match for a vehicle that's so much bigger than a bike. What I'm trying to point out here is exactly why some drivers are mad that you're not in a bike lane at times. I know it can be hard to always be in a bike lane where A wrongful occupancy such as cars, trash and pedestrians or even foreign objects are there. That's when you need to physically move what you can and who you can. Don't be afraid to lay your hands on someone who doesn't belong in the bike lane and move them physically , that's the only way you're going to conquer the bike lane. If you have to move objects, that's safe to do when you're alone, but if you have to move people, give them a nudge as you're passing by to let them know they don't belong in the bike lane if they aren't on a bike. Were opens up into the bike lane, slam it back shut as you're passing to send a strong message. If you have to physically move someone bike lane who's not on a bike, do it when you have others cycling with you I just give them a nudge or smack them on the way by bike.
Do something, because it's the only way you're ever going to conquer the bike lane
I can clearly understand one thing you mentioned about sometimes bikes don't change gears . The only way I can understand really well is if you're on an old style single speed bike with coaster brakes. This used to be the only bike I'd ever climb on because it was the only type of bike I felt safe on with reliable brakes . Now I've multi-speed disc brake bikes . If you get a good bike, make sure it's in good maintenance, especially you if you have an e-bike. Keeping your bike in good strict maintenance will assure that bikes that are designed to change gears will do so every time , with the exception If your chain ever fails and slips off, you're stuck like Chuck and will have to hobble to the nearest bike shop for an emergency repair. Times a chain will slip off if your sprocket Is possibly worn. This happened to me once, on a newly serviced bike. We didn't know how worn the sprocket was until I tried to change gears on a ride. It was unknown until the chain suddenly locked up and the crank just froze. Did I realize my worst suspicion was true. Thankfully, I wasn't far from the shop when this happened. Thankfully, this shop was also still open and I just made it before they closed for the day. Yes, I just got the bike newly serviced and had just gone out on my first ride since the service. I was introduced to a smaller sprocket that made pedaling much easier, which by the way will be easier on the motor and guarantee a longer battery life 😁👍
Bikes aren't always recreational, sometimes for some people they're actually a necessity. This is especially true if you have physical limits with certain types of disabilities that allow you to be able to ride bikes. Times people who'd otherwise be stuck at home, in a vehicle or in a wheelchair can benefit from bikes.
Bikes should always be respected as though it was a wheelchair. That's because a bike for you, is actually someone else's "wheelchair", somewhere . Cops really need to be careful confiscating bikes from people unless those bikes are reported stolen have been proven to belong to someone else. confiscating bikes from rightful owners though, they could be confiscating them from a disabled person who needs their bike. If cops confiscate bikes from the disabled in certain types of cases, they could find themselves in a world of trouble if it's proven that person actually needs their bike . The best way to protect yourself in such cases is to put a wheelchair symbol on your bike and be the only rider who ever gets on it. This should only be done if and only if you have an actual physical disability that's actually reduced by your bike. These are the types of cases to raise awareness to because bikes are actually a handful of potential.
Bikes aren't just recreation.
Modern bikes are very inclusive and often built around the disabled To encourage them to overcome their disabilities by riding. Just because you have a disability doesn't always mean a wheelchair traditional mobility aids . Sometimes disability might mean relying on a bike when it's appropriate
One final tip I must give you is it's never smart to weave through traffic. Become a smooth operator, meaning stay to one side or the other. Weaving is what makes drivers mad and can get you hit. You don't want to kiss pavement and find out you lost your beloved bike in the process and wake up in the hospital to get the bad news.
Smooth operator means stay in your own lane
Smooth Operator
