Well, everywhere except for the Netherlands, riding a bicycle in a big city means trading personal safety for something else, be it fun, cash, or whatever.

Absolutely agree. It continues to surprise me how many people think the solo ride is like a loner or antisocial thing. If they'd only take our word for it that we're WAY better fellow humans when we get our rides in!!! Biking can help solve all our human problems.
I've been riding solo for 3 years now and it feels so good. I don't need to hold my self for the others I just ride as hard as I could.
Its almost like a form of meditation. You're so into the moment. You kind of forget about other things but the road in front of you.
I ride with friends sometimes but riding solo has more thrill and like u said no unexpected breaks hahaha

私の国の自転車のルールについてはよく知りませんが、自転車でブレーキをかけずに走ることについてのルールはないと思います。私が知っているのは、この女の子の出身国であるコロンビアでは、ヘルメットと反射材付きのウエストコートを着用しないで走行することも禁止されているということです。
残念ながら、サイクリストは交通ルールを守らないことで有名です。テレビのニュース番組で、ヘルメットをかぶらずに赤信号で幹線道路を横断する自転車を撮影していたのですが、ジャーナリストが「なぜそんなことをするのか」と聞くと、「アドレナリンが出るから」と答えていました。

Terrible riding, risking her and other people's lives. Where there isn't a bike path (and there is one parallel to that route a few blocks to the west) bikers should ride 1mt from the right sidewalk. Stolidly proud of giving a bad example. Sometime's a pity that biking is fashionable now in Bogotá (I biked there for 20 years), because these dummies make serious bikers look bad (hence endangering them), and make a disservice to biking as a means of transport in general

Por personas como las del vídeo es que los demás actores viales no pueden ver una bicicleta en la calle. Que Pereza que no pueda andar por la derecha. La vía no es una pista de carreras.
Si lee la reglamentación el ciclista haya o no cicloruta tiene derecho a ocupar TODO el carril derecho y debe por obligación ir a mínimo 1.5 metros apartado del anden.

@@edissonherrera4043 yo conozco la ley 1811 y uso la bici a diario. Aún así, en el vídeo se infringen muchas normas dd tránsito, por aparentar una moda gringa. Esa forma de ver la bici y de usarla nos tiene jodidos a los demás ciclistas. Antes los carros eran más cuidadosos ahora les vale madres por personas como las del video.

I agree that she should be wearing a helmet. I ride a fixie myself, as well as road, mountain and tandem bikes, and wear a helmet on all of them. Wearing a helmet surely reduces the degree of head injury in an accident, and adults should teach children to wear bike helmets by example.
