- One of the best verisons I know, from the second warm up for the Mandela show on 11th June 1988. Great singing and superb guitarsolos by both Knopfler and Clapton! Enjoy!:D:D:D
the best version ever of Money for nothing
Great interplay between two guitar giants and one great rock and roll tune!
That's some of the most solid drumming I've ever heard. Go Terry!! Come on Wales!!
i like this version better than the actual mandela concert!
What a Freaking Awesome Opening....
NOW THAT's THE SONG I REMEMBER THAT OPENED MTV........
the first song on mtv
Fantastic, I have always wondered if a recording of the warm up existed, I still can't see what the amp is though, This is the year he changed from Booie to Soldano but has the changed happened yet.
nice video ,,,
Lovely, but this shows how great Clapton really is, if you listen to the "Real" Mandela Gig you can see that he snaps of a string just before his solo and have improvise a totaly new one! Awsome!
I've heard about that since that day, sure it was in MFN? just checkin, thanks
@Leksingen Yes. But Clapton always improvises solos. No matter if he has 6 or 5 strings
You're absolutely right he does!!!
AND he broke a string at Knebworth 90 with Dire Straits too! Wierd or what!!!
