The Bartons Arms, Birmingham - pubs.com

The Bartons Arms has to be one of the country's most magnificent pubs. It was built in 1901 as the flagship pub for Midlands brewer Mitchells and Butlers. It certainly would have stood out from the modest terraced houses that surrounded it; their occupants doubtless in awe at the extravagance of the interior.

As of April 2024 - this fine establishment is sadly closed.
