MY OWN MOUTHPIECE - O pourquoi donc (Liszt) / Paul de Stexhe

- I'm happy to finally record a video with my new mouthpiece. A Pet-G mouthpiece with a stainless steel booster created and designed in collaboration with the french mouthpiece designer Philippe Chalayer. A special "British Brass Band" mouthpiece. It has a very warm and deep sound. With comfort comparable to Denis Wick mouthpieces, it is particularly suitable for comfirmed musicians playing on large mouthpieces.
A mouthpiece that I was lucky enough to see evolve over the course of the prototypes. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to create an embouchure from scratch. An experience full of lessons!

Merci :)
Really nice playing! The new mouthpiece sounds great.
Thx Cube :) It's worth trying.
It would be an interesting experiment as I usually play medium mouthpieces (DW 4B). I have played a DW 4 in the past, especially when playing Christmas music, but never as my regular mouthpiece.
@@musicalcubes Probably not a good one for you. Really deep cup and large like a DW 3.
Perfektes Trompetenspiel
Thx :D
Hey Paul! Nice as usual. Good to see you are still making videos. A while back I asked about your EQ settings to get such a wonderful natural tone on tape. I can't find my notes. Will you please share them again? Thanks so much!
For this video is a bit special. I putted no EQ ;) I just recorded to have a real pure sound. Better to heat the real sound of the mouthpiece. I just cut some frequencies. Moreover, I have an excellent mic, preamp and bulb amp that I finally configured correctly.
It's very difficult to tell you what to do absolutely with the EQ. It depends on so many things.
@@PauldeStexhe Thanks for answering my question, Paul. I am still experimenting. Continue the good work!
