Cleglaws Set is all you need to get through to at least mid nightmare. AR, DS, CB damage with level and you will appreciate the knockback. I really likes an eth Bartucs I had once. Fury in a Scissor Suwayyah has always been my 'dream' claw. ITD, -def, bonus AR, Deadly Strike, Open Wounds and if you can find a claw with +3 to blade fury, even better.
Fury is really great! It has everything we want on our weapon. I'm dabbling around with Chaos + Fury just to have some fun in between and whirlwinding around ;-) Thing is , then you'd need the weapons to be non-ethereal because whirlwind will get your durability down. But its fun! Thanks for watching Jonathan and for your great comment :)
I appreciate the answers! Could you do some testing with Lawbringer and see how it holds up? Would it be good at least as a weapon swap for physical immunes?
No Problem! I did test out lawbringer just yesterday and it does very well in a budget setup. It helps with phys immunes alright but you'd lose the claw mastery benefits and it has a harder time against non-undead/non-demon monsters (animal types)
You can get a 3 open socket claw in act 5 farm pindle area. I usually farm one first and give to assassin since it’s not able able to get the rune word in a claw early
the displayed damage in your character sheet is wrong... it calculates enhanced damage before the bonus damage of the skill, but in reality, it's done on the skill damage too, a phoenix shield therefor wouldn't add just 400 damage as shown in the char sheet, it would also add 400% to the base skill of 600 damage, which would add an additional 2400 damage per hit, on top of the bonus to your weapon damage.Atleast that was how it worked used to work
@@Gaunerh from a crowd control/clearing aspect is finally what it should have been. But yea bosses etc I’m still using blade fury but I’ve also ventured into elemental version using dragon etc
I know it’s not topic of this video..but since blade shield is often used with bladesin builds, I’ve read that dmging enemies with blade shield will use durability of weapons. Has that been fixed or is this video exclusively about non bladeshield builds? Love your content!
Hey Harliecharper, thanks for watching and for your question! Blade Shield will use durability of your weapon. So if you are using an ethereal weapon you shouldnt use Blade Shield because at some point your weapon will break from using it
I use 2H maces for levelling up, high damage and 50% against undead, bonus if it has amplify dmg on strike. The slow speed is irrelevant to blade fury. I max up blade sentinel first, with 1 in blade fury, can spam up to 3-4 BS at a time. I look for charms with elemental dmg on them. Need to aim BS past the enemy you want killed. Sometimes BS will now circle around certain objects. I like to max out tiger strike as you get 16x weapon damage and can finish with 1 point dragon tail to get 50% bonus fire.
Atm I got Rhyme shield and for weapons I got Natalya, Jade Talon Wrist Sword 240ED perfect and Bartuc 196ED 8LS. My question is, should I use the rhyme shield and which weapon? or should I use 2 weapons and which? also I got full natalya set and some budget bis gear as well not sure what to use :) My goal is to do p8 content farming like chaos or baal or trav in the end.
Blade Fury has to deal with less immunities (Just phys ones), but Trapsin has more area damage with Death sentry. so its more like a personal preference 🙂
in Theory yes, as you mentioned it has all the good stuff we want. But your Blade Fury and Blade Sentinel damage with 2 handed weapons is halved. Neither the tooltip nor the Character Sheet weapon Damage properly show this but there is an additional Penatly to Using 2handed Weapons. I tested with an ethereal Reapers toll. It is decent but not better than claw+shield. Thanks for watching and thanks for your question Zakton ☺
thats an odd question, they are vastly different skills - one is melee one is ranged for starters. So for example for crushing blow it already works differently, it is halved for ranged attacks. I have no experience for Dragon Talon actually as I dont like the Playstyle. In the end as a full physical build I suspect they can have similiar high damage outputs
It has never benefited from the AR but it always did show as an AR increase in the AR screen. It was found as a bug from some testing many years ago. Nothing was noted as this being 'fixed' so it's assumed the AR still does not work. No testing has been done yet as far as I know.
Great choice as it gives us alot of the things that we like to have, e.g. Magic Damage, plus skills, high ED,... I wouldn't exactly trade for it since there are other good options like ethereal claw base with Pattern etc. but if you happen to have Azurewrath then give it a go! Plus it looks damn cool 🙂
Thanks for the video. Does someone know: if I dual wield claws with -%def each, does the -%def count as howl for both or only for the individual claw with the stat?
Venom is also a horrible skill for blade sin... psn damage doesn't stack with quick hits, it just resets the countdown. Psn damage also doesn't tick during frames where other damage is applied so you're wasting a lot of points there. Shadow master would be your better bet.
I run Nats claw main hand with mine. Max claw mastery and it ends up doing 2k+ blade fury depending on the rest of your gear. Never use an eth weapon that isn't indestructible with a bladesin. Blade shield eats weapon durability and you're wasting 20pts at that rate.
just dont use bladeshield with eth weapon. its not like blade shield does alot of dmg anyways. the 20 pts are for synergy. venom ticks in 0.4 seconds so I believe it does dmg. shadow master is neat but at some point not necessary anymore if u have gear
@@Gaunerh tbh I prefer to use blade shield. Pop it on, pop on burst of speed, put up shadow master and use dragon flight to the center of a pack and immediately use ww from a chaos claw. After ww launch blade sentinel and ww again. Amazing clear speeds. Blade fury is the boss killer because it has quick hits and can utilize cb. Makes for fast, aggressive game play that's very safe due to the resists of Nats set.
@@Gaunerh blade fury hits every .24 seconds, effectively cutting venom damage to 2/3 while using blade fury. It honestly should be more of a 1 point wonder if you're using blade fury as your main skill
honorable mention for early game: cleglaw's set (huge AR, 50% deadly strike, crushing blow, scales with level)
Cleglaws isn't honorable mention its the perfect set to carry you straight to Hell. In my runs before 2.4 I would use Cleglaws into mid nightmare.
If only cleglaw was easy to find without having to MF in norm

Lawbringer is legit awesome for blade fury assassin. Performs better than Death IMO because decrepify procs constantly

Is it worth a new version of video for the recent changes and even a play through?
Maybe. But there really havent been any changes for blade fury sin so this is still up2date

What do you think is best for ladder start, Blade Fury or Trapsin for Terror Zone Farming
Blade Fury has to deal with less immunities (Just phys ones), but Trapsin has more area damage with Death sentry.

weaponprogression is lots of fun when leveling.
Would Reaper's Toll be a viable option as a midrange weapon for the ITD, Deadly Strike, and Decrep?

Try oath in an eth ettin axe with heart of wolverine and iron golem. Tanky and some of the best damage. Plus: dirt cheap and easy to make
I thought Blade Fury didn't benefit from the AR from Claw Mastery? I've been reading this is still the case
I'm reading similiar things and then that it works. Anyways Claw Mastery also gives you %enhanced damage and %Crit chance which definitely applies.

The AR from claw mastery benefits normal attack, since Blade Fury's AR matches normal attack AR, it is somehow beneficial.
I'm thinking of playing this build for HC SP ssf

Does someone know: if I dual wield claws with -%def each, does the -%def count as howl for both or only for the individual claw with the stat?
It only counts for the individual claw attack , so it won't benefit you with bladefury which uses your primary claw/weapon
@@Gaunerh Thanks for the answer.
how do you get +skill mods on runeword claws? do they just randomly roll when you make it?
Find Grey named claws with skills you want

act 5 shop from the girl that you rescued for blues. for whites to roll a rune word in id say cows

ignore target defense doesnt work on champions, uniques, super uniques and bosses.
True!
Only -% Defense does (to a varying degree, like half effectiveness on Bosses)

I tried it and it's not working very well. All the unique claw are better.
Claw mastery should also count for daggers 😢
