    I only upgrade during cost down events

    The accounting department would like to believe hyper-inflation will cause more spending in the AC sector and that is partially true. I have noticed that items don't sell well past the scratch end date. This used to be my main source of meseta since I can't spend 10+ hours daily grinding for coins. I play all classes since I am not interested in being the "best" at any one class and between that and weapon gearing it is becoming untenable. 20-40K AC per month and not being able to keep up makes me feel like returning to ftp after Eminence scratch is over. (Rant over, lol)

    I agree, we have way to much of some materials but then not enought of others. Drops are terrible, costs are too high and now we are getting weapons and armor we cant do anything with but get rid of. The game is headed in the right direction no doubt. One thing I would like to see is a multi augment function so we dont have to keep putting endimyos on pieces one at a time. Then again I know thats wishful thinking LuL

    The upgrading cost is too high and the amount gained from daily and enemies are far from enough. Especially since they made the daily missions account bound not character bound and you my get anywhere between 20-1,500 meseta per enemies eliminated. And another thing is that the most you can get from Urgent quest is 20,000 for Battle of Halphia Lake while Omen of the Planetbreaker and Planetcrusher Assault is only 10,000 for level 80+.

    YES SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER? Waaaaaayyyy too much n-meseta required for weapon upgrades. As a multi-class player with 10 classes, I have to really calculate when to take advantage of cheap ways to upgrade, with either event weapons, freebies, event discounts in the gear lab with lots of multi-weaponing to make it work, it is challenging and quite frustrating.

    Holy, OMG I have the same idea on this issue as well! They should give us an alternative to waive meseta cost if we turn in materials instead!
    This would be very very very helpful for players to experience multiple classes, and casual players won't feel pushed when trying to upgrade gears.

    the meseta issue got way worse after lvl90 cap .even with cost down events it still costs a lot if ur upgrading all weapons/armors

    I think for every weapon and armour, you should have a choice in breaking it down into its constituent parts; kinda like what base did. That way, you can stay on top of your minerals, materials and even augments (if the weapon has augments). You barely get anything selling it to the server lol.

    The game should make high end gears more accessible, peeps should hold down on prices . Like look at the vent of UQ rn all augments went down by 60 to 70% , just make things easier to farm .

    The game is way more fun when its easy / cheap to max out weapons. This encourages playing around with new playstyles and weapons.

    A sort of nice idea seeing how many mats are laying around, the system could be changed in such a way that you can increase the material count and your choosing while decreasing the meseta cost, i.e: if you pick to double mat cost, it halves meseta. Quadruple mats = quarter meseta and the same way in reverse.
    Reason I say this is just since I’m sure there’s a lot of players who play extremely casually (my partner is a lot more casual than I and she usually doesn’t have the materials to spare _but_ she does have the meseta for it). At an extreme you could x10 the cost of mats _or_ meseta and have it completely removes the other side (might be a bit excessive but for some on either extreme side I think that could be okay).
    Just a thought!

    I definitely felt bad when someone who'd been on break stepped back in when Nameless came out and just didn't have money to use on making an updated weapon because they had so little meseta at the time. It was only the Eredim cost reduction campaign that saved the day on that. Seems like a good case in point for your suggestion. :)

    I 100% agree with you. I will admit I'm not f2p, so I take the cost of upgrading and potential unlockijg for granted. But i have more than enough mats than I know what to do with.
    I feel like SEGA put those costs in place without considering how expensive it would start to get the higher and higher you need to upgrade units/weapons. +70, +80, +90.
    I think it would be nice if they came up with an alternative cost for upgrading. Like a quest reward that gave you a material that guarenteed an upgrade amount. Or having the ability to smash weapons/units into other ones to upgrade them.
    I know you aren't the first creator to talk about this and this isn't the first time you've mentioned it. But you outlined the issue eloquently. In my opinion.

      Oh and being able to smash weapons/units into their prospective counterparts would partially solve the giant cluster fuck of a mess that your inventory/storage becomes with weapons and units that you can't do anything with.

    I dont bother with upgrading anymore. I'll get a current weapon and throw LC caps on it bc sega hates us. Let me elaborate. I'll get everything to +80 but the rewards for you to push further aren't there(imo). My problems are that I have a couple billion meseta and 10s of thousands of minerals, I don't try to chase BiS anymore bc it's not worth my time.

    For the sake of perspective, I would love to see an in depth comparison of upgrading weapons from the previous games (PSO1/PSU/PSP2i) and why the current issues NGS have boiled out of control. Considering weapons, at their core, have worked really similarly for the entire series, I think this would be a real interesting rabbit hole.

      I think a few example comparisons could be:
      1. Materials/cost of grinding from a clean weapon to max
      2. How much power a single grind/enhancement lvl actually gives
      3. Worst and best case scenarios for upgrading
      4. Necessity of having bis/fully upgraded gear and how a clean weapon compares to fully upgraded
      5. And what is the most valuable part of gearing between the games and how it effects player engagement

    I stopped playing cuz I didn't want to spend my hard earn meseta on gear, since new ones comes every almost every patch, so I totally gave up on the game, also I never got lucky and dropeed really expensive things to sell on the market.

    Yeah, I wish I could play every class, but it just isn't attainable, I don't have the mesetta nor the time to get the mesetta to make it. What I thought that could be done is: once you break a series weapon to the max or get the series +80 to the max, every weapon of the same series would get these upgrades. The upgrade would be for the weapon series, not for each weapon. But I also think that the game has too many items and too few uses. Your decision is also good, but for some new players it would be hard, so I think we should have options to level up. Or quests that gives us tickets to break/potential etc. I think limited quests would be way more important with this change. When I played Wuthering Waves I noticed one thing, PSO2 NGS feel of progression is REALLY BAD, it's a shit, and they should also make it better. We need a crafting and stats revamp, I just don't feel like progressing even when I get new weapons, it just seems to me a waste of my time, and that's why I'm almost 2 weeks without playing, even dailies I'm not doing anymore... And it's sad

    arms refiners and resources are harder to get than money. 500 arms refines is not a lot. you have to limit break all your fodder to enhance 1 piece of gear. the money is an issue. i wish they would pick one . cash or resources. not both.

    And there is me upgrading the Gear to maximum just to not do the content anyway XD . I rather hang with my frinds but non of them come close to 274% potency which is sad I cant carry solus alone>.>

    upgrading? childs play. augmenting? now thats som reeeeeeal BS we talkin bout exesively grindy n repetitive, with no guarantee itll work unles u p2w it or do EVEN MORE grindin to reach 'safe' ratios that are bound to fail and LOOSE all that time n effort like its NOTHING, poof! fade into the aether. protections n boosters? yea just spit som money to it, coz f2p gettos are very scarce and HARD to get. lucky us we get LCs! theyrnt even up to snuff. letting out Lux n Grand LCs? nOooOo why would we? it just make unbalance game mumbojumbo, Lazy Characters that dont even do content shouldent even do endgame till its nerfed and any 1 can runit. erly D1 clears mean one or more of 3 things: u play the game, u spend a bunch in game or u gut gud (number 4 u got carried at minimum REQs didnt u? powa of frenship gz on 20sg u didnt earn!) LSS: not everyone has the 10 free hours to sink into grinding everyday, at least make hard to get augments a guarantee at 10 capsules its not even ez to get 1

    I don't think the cost of upgrading gear is high. The only things to spend meseta on are either phasion or gear upgrades. As a free to play, I never have issues gearing. I simply don't buy cosmetics for stupid amounts of meseta. It's weird, I know. I just log in, do my daily's, collect my gatherables, and go to each of the item exchanges to trade for the weekly's and then somehow almost as if the dev's designed it to work this way, i have plenty of meseta for add-on skills. For gear upgrades. And then once in a blue moon when im feeling sassy i go buy myself a cool look.
    Sometimes, i'll even have more than enough 3 day shop passes saved that i dont even need to pop them as soon as i acquire them. Idk. It's weird. I can list some of the higher end augments i get. Pop a shop pass. List as many of them as I wanna sell, and then they stay listed forever, so even if the prices start fluctuating, as long as i list things for reasonable prices, idk
    Its weird. Its almost as if the dev's designed it to work this way. But then by doing that. Listing things here and there when i get my shop passes as a free to play.
    Idk. Its weird but then i get this steady trickle of income from sales here and there.
    Its really weird. That the game gives me everything I need as a free to play. And allows me to thrive using LC augments and only ever really prevents me from doing speed runs. All as a free to play.
    Then they do these weirdly regular campaigns where they give out tons of materials and alpha reactors and all sorts of useful goods during their seasonal events.
    And as long as i log in and do my daily's and weekly's during the seasonals, idk.
    Its weird but i have plenty of everything that i need as a free to play.
    Except phasion items which i just simply am not a sucker for paying real money for nor do i particularly care to try and keep up with every cycle of phasion.
    So idk. None of what you describe is a problem. You just need to stop telling people to prioritize poorly.
    Do you really think its the "cost of upgrades" thats driving the playerbase away or do you maybe think its the constant priority of having endless lootbox scratches to collect in a game that uses the same re-used game content, enemies, quest design, and bosses without every really offering anything new to explore?

    I mean I don't like it too but its a way to control IGC inflation io mean look at what happened to base economy of it died after xcube spam
