That's awesome he mentions JiuJitsu. As a BJJ teacher it makes me happy to see drummers are training Jiu Jitsu also. I guess I also play drums. Hey John, I'll trade drum lessons for BJJ lessons.

Thanks. This guy is one of my drum hero's putting it mildly! Saw him filling in for Hate Eternal - I know! But his work with Origin and being one of the first guy's to bring in heel-toe into EM was awe-inspiring and had the luck and pleasure of seeing him live many times; once sitting like, once about 10-feet and always just so focused/obsessed in what he was doing. Phew! Sorry... Yeah, a very intelligent and extremely versatile and creative drummer that transcends more than the EM is renound for.
Top-5 EM drummers for me in history - there's probably like 10 in there but, yeah... And thank you so much, Martin, for being so great in creating your UA-cam channel and very unique and the website, which I am gonna have to sign up for, is the dominating force for you. You're a very nice guy, and very knowledgeable. Thank you. :)

Drumming really does go beyond just hitting shit John talking about building up your core strength.those alternates he was doing were so clean and the transitions between them were mind blowing.You need to get Mr Barker and George Kollias on.
Kollias is not what he used to be. He is now living billboard for all those drum related companies. He lost that sparkle that he had in the past. I like him as a drummer but only as a drummer.
@@dulsrules i am confused as to why you are talking down on Kollias? ive seen rescent footage of NILE, an he is still an absolute beast..Longstreth, Archey, even John Paul Gaster have done promotional videos for their drumming sponsors. why the hate?
@@corrob look at his clothes. Hat. Everything is full of ads. No metal merch, only Pearl, Zildjian... No free drum cams on his yt acc. Only promos for his clinics and for the companies that are supporting him. He is now a businessman. And the guy is full of complexes in private life. As I sad, I like him as a drummer, not so much as a person.
