- Finally! We have a new particles system in Cinema 4D 2024.4 and I´m more then excited about it.
Let´s start with one of the coolest effects and createa fake liquid milk tornado!
I´m also super curious how Insydium and X-particles will compare to the new natice C4D particles and will create several lessons about that in the future.
Disclaimer: For now I can say, that X-Particles are (of course) way more versatile and powerful, but... this might change in the near future and Maxon is doing an important step here, to implement a better powerful particles engine.
Exciting times, for sure...

Yo this is 🔥

If someone occurs error with Data Mapper - Age Percentage instead of Age might help. :)
good to know!
Cool effect! Little off topic, but I wish there was a way to have self-collision on the particles themselves, there's no way right?
Yes! Thats what we need next! But you can already use the flock modifier, and its separation mode. set this to a specific radius and they will keep this distance from one another.
Wow this is very impressive, thx for the turorial. I would like to specialize in C4d particles. Do you think I start by C4d vanilla or should I bought Xparticles (I can Have a student versionto train). I am gonna to subcribe to your channel when I come back from hollidays your tutorial are so good. Do you make some xparticles tutorial or do you have a course/masterclass to suggest?
Hi GozGoz, okey so... I would say for now, X-Particles is just the way more complete package, you know. They develope their plugin for about ten years now, so its way depper and more complex.
But you can also already do great stuff with C4D´s particles, but dont expect it to be perfect/complete.
I would say, you can already spend quite some time with learning C4D´s particles and play with it, and then the next C4D version will give you even more tools.
BUT: For client jobs, X-Particles just offers the artists more functions and is for now the way to go if you want to stay in the C4D area. Otherwise its of course on an option to learn particles in Houdini, if you want to go really deep.
So happy C4d is going to slowy capable to purpose a decent fluid simulation system ! Thank you for presentation mate
Let's hope for a real fluid solver soon🔥
Do you think it's same or better than X-particles?
Oh, I thought I mentioned in the beginning of the tutorial, that C4D's particles (of course) still lack features that insydium already has👍🏼. Its a great first version anyway!
