C4D 2024.4 Super-Easy PARTICLES Shading / Rendering Techniques

- Hey 3D Friends,
This is just a short overview of two super-easy shading methods for your particles. There is another cool way to shade your particles with the redshift toon shader, but I´ll cover this topic in another tutorial.
Finally! We have a new particles system in Cinema 4D 2024.4 and I´m more then excited about it.
Let´s start with one of the coolest effects and advect some particles with the pyro advect modifier in the new particles system.
I´m also super curious how Insydium and X-particles will compare to the new natice C4D particles and will create several lessons about that in the future.
Disclaimer: For now I can say, that X-Particles are (of course) way more versatile and powerful, but... this might change in the near future and Maxon is doing an important step here, to implement a better powerful particles engine.
Exciting times, for sure...

your tuts and ideas you provide are amazing
Thank you Buddy🔥
thats dope!
great job
Amazing
thank you
Nice! what Gpu are you using?
i use two 3090s, which equals more or less a 4090. so its not a monster, but its doing the job.
Hi, I really love this tutorial but are you able to let me know how you got the particles to move around the stones? It looks great and I am new to C4D so am just learning the basics. Can't find any other tutorials as good as this one that aren't XParticles or another plugin. Thanks
I have a complete tutorial for that on my patreon. I can't explain it in a few words here sadly...
@@3DBONFIRE Thank you, I will check it out :)
IT looks great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW 1:20 how do you set up the additive rendering?
Use a redshift toon shader and deactivate diffuse and reflection, and use emission value around 20 for example. Also activate unser emission, that it respect objects opacity and then give it a grey opacity color or so, so that these particles are not 100% but for example a 30% grey value, so that they add up nicely when laying on top of each other.
Noseman somewhere shared this info in a latest maxon Tutorial.
@@3DBONFIREDo you cover this topic in your Patreon?
@@pixelatedbeatz Yes there will be a lesson on that soon (Most probably next week) on patreon + a short version for youtube
@@3DBONFIRE that's great, looking forward to it. have a GREAT weekend. THANKS again.
Can octane work with this?
yes, check out silverwing tut on octane and new particles.
Yes, I think silverwing has a tutorial on UA-cam on octane and these new Particles.
Can this be done in R25 or do you need a higher version?
This is using the new particles in C4D 2024.4.
no, you need the latest version.
@@HavealotDoes it have to be specifically 2024.4 or will it work with any 2024?
How good are the new partivles compared to xParticles?
They are awesome, but keep in mind that XP devoloped their tools for years so they have options you don't have in C4Ds particles yet.
But: I think C4D Particles are very clever and powerful and will only get better
@@3DBONFIRE Cool thanks for that!
