I absolutely love, love, love the sorter using vinyl composite tile! Otherwise known as VCT. We used it in the kitchen of our last home in cobalt and light blue checkered pattern and in the laundry room of our current home in black and white checked. I love it. It's usually for commercial use, but it's awesome. It comes in loads of colors and you can do so many designs with it. I wish I wouldn't have left the extra blues at the other house when we sold it as I'd love to make some of these in blue for the kitchen desk. I am going to make a black and white one for the laundry room to hold my homemade dryer clothes though! Thanks for a great idea. I love how you think.
@@WhitneyBaldwin Well we can't just water and plant seeds every week the kids will be bored to tears. I thought it would be nice for them to have a take home planter with a plant inside. I now have to collect tins from the school kitchen.

I have a collection of coffee cans to turn into planters. Thought I was going to use the baking powder in paint. The spackling makes more sense to cover the ridges. Thank you so much for sharing. New here. I just subbed.

I wonder if you could also use corks for the legs of the black and white plant holders. 🤔 that’d be cool too if it worked. Love all the diys tho! You did a great job 😊
Please don't be one of those lazy crafters, paint the bottom of your cans. It makes a difference to finish them off properly. If you want it to look expensive, the anthropology pieces would not have paint splashed all over the bottom. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing well.
