The simplest way to combo extend is to F3-> 2 -> 1 from any launch then do it again but finish the jab ender from Izumo (f3-> 2 -> 1,1. If you have a tornado it will get a finisher, otherwise its a wall stick , so you can basically decide to shorten it if a wall is comin up after the first unfinished Izumo string.
what you were saying at the end is what it feels like for me messing with Tekken recently. It is so wildly different from any other fighting game I have played that I feel so much worse at it than any other one I have played
