the discussion on commentary also being improved once you know the game and also putting people off when the commentators know significantly less than you is important both for commentators learning the titles they wanna commentate for, as well as TOs hiring people who know their shit in a specific game it'd be sick to see a lot of high tier commentators like you, yipes, rip, steve, etc just go to Any fighting game out there but there's not only the risk of being stuck into a more awkward commentary since you don't clearly know what's happening on screen, there's also the risk of hyping up lame clips, being unresponsive to some really dope interactions, And misinforming the audience depending on what you say unknowingly
My favorite thing abour NRS games is that they're the only games where I've heard the term hard-to-blockable, like you're gonna get hit by a low and an overhead within 2 frames of each other that will result in a full combo either way and there's no way to know which is gonna hit first, so even though you technically can block it, as in, the game engine allows you to, your ass is not blocking that shit ever in a million years.
KBrad's response to that mixup is legitimately how I felt when I first saw it, so he's definitely channeling a form of reality that we can all understand. It's still hilarious every time.
