The REAL Best Way To Start Out Your Character! - Zero to Hero Lost Episode FUNGAL FINALE

- The Fungal Finale has arrived! Having gathered an entire set of Celestial gear to bridge the gap between a level 1 character and a level-boosted character, there's just one more set of tips which I wanted to talk about - a much cheaper way to gear up characters. Celestial, while it is extremely powerful and flexible, is one of the most expensive sets of gear to try to buy - but if you aren't too bothered about the builds you play, there's a MUCH cheaper and easier alternative...

And that's a wrap for the Fungal Fighter! From here on out, I'll be heading back on to my main Zero to Hero account to continue the series, but not before a FULL FRUGAL ACCOUNT REVIEW! What was your favourite FUNGAL MOMENT from this mini-series?
I liked the part with the mushrooms
Mate, good content. Do you have plan on other professions? Would love see an alt thief for microtransactionenjoyer
I laughed so hard on the legendary revive orb mesmer fractal run episode. Keep up the nice work you're doing for the GW2 community!!!
One of the coolest things honestly. With a full exotic berserker gear, you are pretty much set for almost everything (except for higher fractal tiers)
now you can buy the wvw exotic gear that has selectable stats for like 9-10 gold total, so it became even cheaper to build a character
Veteran player here, but mind blown by seeing how you filtered the TP to find the Devonna's Berserker gear! 🤯 Thanks!
Ooooh last minute revelation, don't forget Temple vendors in Orr, that can sell Exotic gear (besrkerk included) for Karma !
Not gonna lie, I was confused the whole time MT was gearing Frugal Fighter as to why he wasn't going for zerks first. Glad it got mentioned at some point haha.
Dunno if you will ever see this but THANK YOU A LOT!!!! Im a new player and this was making me bonkers lost in this game!!!
Thanks for this video .. I was really confused with all the trading and buying gear but then this berserker gear will get me started to finally start understanding how the game works and eventually farm celestial gear. I do have the boost up which will give me celestial but i wanna get everything by myself and understand the game and then eventually use it on another character later on when i have decent understanding of the game . I really like these videos, would love itil if you start with other classes.
Thank you Man. Getting some gear for my Engi tomorrow to do all stories.
Should probably mention the exotic crafted back items. Cheap and have an infusion slot
an issue is that it's lvl78, so you can't put a max lvl gem.
it's also locked behind 400 crafting.
but if you do have access to it, 32/18/18 + 21/13/13 berserker for cheap is absolutely still decent.
@@joshuaxiong8377The infusion slot is what sells it for me. As far as I can tell the only exotics with an infusion slot
@@joshuaxiong8377 Also several of the professions cost less than 10 g to get to 400 using gw2crafts. (jewelcrafting, artificing, cooking)
maybe woulld be fun to see a full speedrun using any and all resources imaginable raids, fractals, dungeons, strikes
Exotic Dragons stat weapons also pretty cheap right now (~30s for Saltspray weapons) and look decent to boot.
Worth noting that while Impact is definitely the best general choice for a second sigil, the vast majority of the time you are using it because of the 3% damage bonus. So Slaying sigils are a valid but much more cost-efficient choice for new players.
I kinda grew fond of Fungal Fighter ... I'm sad to see him disapear :(
this vid should come up the first time a player hits lvl 80 :3
Should’ve watched this last night because I definitely bought the crafted set lol
class is in session and prof. teapot has the stage 😎
I actually prefer Strength runes over Scholar for open world. When you're solo or in big zergs, you can't really rely on others to top off your health for the Scholar runes. In addition to that, you often need to provide your own boons, which Strength runes help a lot. And of course, they're dirt cheap.
Also if you really want survivability, you can buy the also dirt cheap Vampirism runes or get a few pieces with Vitality stats.
aristocracy is also good for solo, but it cost dungeon tokens.
i can understand the scholar rune though. those ferocity bonuses are just really good.
then, the "5% extra damage when over 90% HP" is just a cherry on top in OW PVE when it happens.
but i still agree with strength runes being a decent and budget alternative.
pack runes are nice too. 175 power & 125 precision & +15% boon duration & starting boons for just 2 gold? yes please.
Eagle runes are also good for power
What about underwater equipment? I feel like that needs to be sorted out before a character is "perfectly ready to get on in to any of the endgame." Granted, the only things that really qualify is the Aquatic Ruins fractal and some of the dungeons, but those are still endgame content Fungal Fighter isn't "perfectly ready" for. Nitpicky, I know, and it wouldn't take all that long to get those squared away, but this entire miniseries is a giant nitpick.
Imagine my surprise while doing another round of map completion when I learned mechanist loses its pet underwater completely
sadly for that, if you want something cheap and quick, you have to improvise with the available water breathers from orr and frostgorge sound. they're at least over lvl 65 so you can use super runes on them.
then, there are the tequatl breathers in the TP. they're like 5-6g for a rare with soldier's stats. lmao
i really wish there were reasonably priced and decent breathers and back items in the TP.
if you want a good berserker backpiece thats cheaper than the animal ones from Tp, you could get one in the guild hall for 5gold i think
siren reef is ez pink backpack
Picked up some good tips here cheers! Also, would you recommend crafting a legendary weapon or just buy it off the TP in your opinon.
Crafting is a fun journey, much more satisfying and a LOT cheaper. Buying will usually cost you like 600g+ more. I recommend using gw2 efficiency for an overview and exact cost comparisons on every legendary
Doing it yourself saves 60/70% of the value
Ask yourself if you want to dedicate time to this long process or not, and make your decision based on that
Make one build for a core guardian Rush fracs, raid and have hight dps!
Holy crap did I have to do a double take when he said "Nika's" at 11:29.
You mentioned in another video that glass cannon builds weren't great, except for the highest skilled players. Doesn't Berserker's gear fall under glass cannon?
Nah not really, there are quite a lot of builds like scourge or virtuoso that are very durable even without any defensive gear.
whats the appeal of celestial gear
Highest overall stat quantity so if you use most of them it's solid for open world
Because it has all the stat types it can be used to fill in when you haven't got the better suited equipment yet. If you want to mess around with a new build concept, celestial will do.
Basically, best open world armor set. Also, Firebrand can use near all of its stats:
- Vitality/Toughness: Counter the lower Base HP of Guardian/Firebrand.
- Condition Damage/Expertise: Burn is your primary damage source.
- Concentration: Boon uptime is important for your quickness being without pauses, as it gives you +250 Condi Dmg, Vitality and Healing Power.
- Healing Power: Allows FB to work efficiently enough as a Healer (Yes, I mainheal CM98/CM99/CM100 as a Celebrand with minor/no staff and tome usage!)
- Power/Precision/Ferocity: Slightly increases your secondary power damage. In my personal build, Crits trigger might on group (since I don't take the staff trait!), which feeds into the self-buffing capabilities!
Not me spending 30 plus gold for a berserker set ):
Fungus HTCM when xD
didnt fungus clear htcm already
@@jermu8706 I think so, I just wanna see a vid on YT!
Good luck playing scourge with berserker gear.
First?
Second?
Still waiting for a new tier of gear. So boring. 😂
Change the game the whole idea is that there is no progression in the stats
the whole point of gw2 is that theres no gear progression, youre playing the wrong game
@@jermu8706 lol I know was just joking. I quit longtime ago. Played through heart of thorns. The story is great so I really just play it as a single player game.
