They will be in the US in October. Most venues are sold out. They are the best rock band today.

Nice reaction. Band-Maid can make you become Unhinged for sure. I'll say this forever, I love this pairing of songs. The groovy bluesy Manners was the 9th song from this online concert and the 220bpm controlled chaos of Black Hole was the 21st and next to last song. They have over 110 songs in their catalog so you still have a lot of amazing songs to choose from. The Awesome BAND-MAID never let's you down. Peace.
After reinstalling all my stuff for the last few days i'm now finally back & that's Awesome. Still not as Awesome as BAND-MAID tho.😁

Day of the Maid was a streaming concert Band-Maid put on during covid As you could probably tell they were live but there was no audience Which is amazing because you always hear how crowds give bands energy, so they had nothing to work off of, and all that energy 100% them
Enjoyed your reaction. This video, particularly BLACK HOLE, was the moment I knew I'd discovered something truly special. There are Band-Maid songs that I like even more, but none that leave me more amazed by Kanami's songwriting skills, or the whole band's ability to pull it off so well live.
Saiki's voice when singing Manners OMG, reminds me of Vocal Rock 80-90, a little bit of Alanis Morissette's voice is heard
Glad you came back to Band-Maid. They have developed a hell of a lot in the last couple of years- basically the Covid period, which they spent writing and practicing- yes practicing. They needed to for some of the material on their latest album- Unseen World, Jan 2021. Kanami (Lead guitar), her arrangements really pushed them all on to a new level. Manners- classic blues/rock and Black Hole- Hardrock/metal, both frm the new album, show both ends of the spectrum of their musical capabilities. US tour in October - sold out! It was good to see you come back and give Band-Maid another (look/listen) reaction (that works better). I agree with your comments that they are remarkable musicians. I'm sure you have a long list of songs/groups to look at - But if you would like to hear Band-Maid playing something acoustic, I'd encourage you to check out Catharsis. In both these songs, MIKU and Saiki does a fantastic job on vocals, just perfect!

In an interview here on UA-cam Saiki and Miku indicated that they intersperse English for two reasons one people in Japan think it's cool, second it helps reach out to the English-speaking audience and keep them engaged.
Yeah, it seems very common for Japanese bands to do this, although Band-Maid probably have a higher than average proportion of English.

If you blink you lose it! From December 2020 to date they have released twenty new songs in three singles (Different, About Us and Sense) and one LP (Unseen World) and fourteen acoustic versions for a Christmas concert. This summer they publish a new EP with five new songs.
Regarding Black Hole Konami came to Akane and asked her what the highest BPM that she had drummed to. They then bumped it up a bit because Akane wanted a challenge! Also keep a close eye on Saiki's eyes!!
Her name is Kanami. Even the band members call her Kanami, NOT Konami.
KANAMI asked Herman Li (Dragon Force) what the fastest song he plays (225bpm) Kanami stated that 220 was her fastest (BLACK HOLE) but she would write a song for 225bpm.

Yes, beyond the obvious awe to the instrumental excellence in Black Hole, one cannot overstate enough how challenging the vocal lines are too. Saiki is just pure world class and you can see the effort, energy, strain and wholesome delivery in those eyes!🖤💙

Both songs were owned by Misa on the bass, with Akane on the kit as her trusty sidekick. The other three Maids are just "brilliant".

Man, _Manners_ is so good! Deceptively simple at first hearing, this song gets better with each listening, it's becoming one of my all-time favourite tracks, by any band.

Band-Maid just keeps getting better! Blues rock to speed rock, so versatile! Akane is a wizard behind her drum kit! Misa is a master on the bass! Vocals always great! Kanami on that lead PRS guitar is always satisfying and leaves you wanting more! Miku, red flower, the rhythm guitar and backing vocals is great, always, adding just the right extras! Saiki, blue flower, sure has a strong presence and command on stage, the Queen Maid! Come on October!

So, Kanami, lead guitar and songwriter, has taken these guys into new territory since you last reacted. And the other monsters in the band are totally down with it. Checkout Blooming, Different, Sense, and No God. Can't wait for summer releases.
They came out with some new mv's this year. May i suggest Hate? and Don't You Tell ME. Also they co-wrote a song with Mike E. of Incubus called Bestie. As with all Band-Maid any song is good. 12:34

Black Hole was named for its complexity. Every piece has to hit at precise times, often with a lot of variety from every instrument and vocalization, so it's kind of a nightmare, thus the name.
WARNING! It's bad MANNERS to stop listening to Band-Maid because you'll feel starved for musical excellence and joy and fall into a BLACK HOLE of emptiness... probably! 😵 Thx, Ed!
You have missed a great deal of music from this band. You need to come back and revisit the many songs that have been released. Eight albums and a new one due soon (January?) They are also going to tour the US (again) in October - all venues are sold out - These are some talented ladies and deserve being reacted to many more times.

BAND-MAID is not a heavy metal band. Their music is very diverse and progressive.
