They really captured the essence of the original...great job, guys!
They are now becoming internationally known after their last USA/Canada tour and have more USA gigs to come so don't miss them if they come near you!
Brothers, come to southeast Michigan, plz.
What every nice words said from all amazing comments are true. Thank you so much. REO BROTHERS are amazing. Talents are rare to these brothers. Everyone of them are wonderful from lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, drummer and organist, amazing🎉🎉🎉. More power👍🏻👍👍🏻👍👍🏻
Perfect cover for REO Bros. You said right
What a great musician, sounds so good amazing REO. 😊
Free as a bird with REO Brothers
Very cool and well-thought out reaction. REO Bros. always nail it, but I'd venture to say that crisp and clean drumming was a tad better than the original!
Well sir, you slayed your guitar rendition. Awesome reaction and vibe!
It is so fun to listen to you breakdown and point out intriguing REACTIONS. Thank you
Thanks!
Those guys are great, and always on point, you’re right about that. The first time I heard them I think it was a Beatles cover from the Abbey Road album, and they really did a great job. I’ve watched a lot of their videos since. The Eagles, Beatles, Queen, the BeeGees, and a couple by these guys. They are able to really nail the different styles and sounds. Awesome Ed, great job.
Thanks, Sir Brad.🤘
@@UnhingedReactions this has got to be Doug😄. Hi buddy, everything ok?
I actually live not far from Terry Williams who played rums for DS for many years and we know one another well ... Terry is highly respected around these parts and regarded as a hero here in Wales UK!
Amazing take on that unforgettable intro riff, Ed, especially as you just learned it shortly before taping this reaction!!👍Yes, this is my fave cover from these fellows that I have watched to date, so further kudos for selecting this one. And as always, I really appreciate the extra bells and whistles you apply to the overall production of these videos, including all those obvious nods to old MTV promos and VH1's late, lamented "Pop-Up Video!!" P.S. I'd be interested in seeing these talented fellas have a real go at other exemplary Dire Straits' tracks such as "Solid Rock," "Tunnel Of Love," and "Industrial Disease!"😇
Thanks Avery! I have fun 😄
Sultans of swing is also fantastic
Great reaction/reviews Sir Ed..it feels like completely amazing! I just love it!!!
Thank you!
Great great great!!!! Reaction sir ED❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Ed, and your guitar intro was "Spot On"
Thank you! I tried! 🙂
Thank you sir
A change from what the lads normally do as they re-arranged the song and put their own stamp on it! .... I'm sure there's more to come really soon!
Smashing ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the positive review. I believe they are the best cover band today.
Hi Elizabeth, have you ever checked out Andrei Cerbu? He has 4 or 5 different bands he is in all at the same time, and he’s one of the best guitarists I’ve seen in decades. Several of his bands do cover songs, and they are amazing. Band names the Iron Cross (hard rock), Voodoo Child Band (hard rock), Shut Up & Kiss Me (acoustic and a Cappella, soft rock mostly), Andrei Cerbu Band (a bit of everything), and he does many duets with the singers from the bands, notably Andreea Munteanu the singer from the Iron Cross band. They are all amazing.
Andrei is amazing!!!@@bradtaggart5509

.they are still in the jungle....way to go to uptown stage😅
While lead guitar is the money maker here, it's the bass and drums working together to make this song hum.
Totally agree!
GOOD DAY SIR PLS CHECK THIS OUT ANOTHER AMAZING FAMILY BAND IN THE PHIL CALLED THE FRANZ RYTHM COMPOSE OF FATHER 2 DAUGHTERS AND A SON CHEN CHAR AND DUDZ AND THEIR FATHER FRANZ YOULL BE AMAZE FOR THEIR RENDITION OF ZOMBIE FROM THE CRANBERRIES THIS IS AN AMAZING COVER JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL SINGER THE LATE ""DOLORES O'RIORDAN MORE POWER TO UR CHANNEL SIR🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
There was no need to censor the lyrics because of the derogatory term for a gay man. I say this as a gay man myself. You should know that Mark Knopfler was singing in the context of an ignoramus and was singing in character. The very fact that he also sang 'Les Boys' which is a touching tribute to a gay cabaret act, should tell you that.
A great copy of the song. But what's the point? I wish they had done something different with it. As it is, better to just listen to the original
The same could be said about any cover that is close to the original. Like I said in the reaction, if you do a cover of a song, either do it as close as possible to the original as a tribute, or make it radically different to make it something new and different. Both are valid approaches. REO Brothers mostly do the former, and do it very well. Maybe it's not for you, but lots of people like what they do, me included.
The point is to hear the song live as close to the original as possible because the people who sang the original songs are either dead or not singing anymore.
Why don't you check their latest cover "I Am The Walrus"
