    Everyone on UA-cam says plastic but when I actually go all the ppl catching fish are using live worms and I’m over here fishless with my plastic 😭

      Ngl sounds like a skill issue
      Jk I know for me it took a while to eventually catch a fish I think it’s mainly just learning how to use the different things and then finding the right fish

      That's definitely a skill issue. I have the opposite experience. I'm the guy going around catching fish when everyone else is having trouble. Live bait is easy mode, because is live food sources that are moving on their own. It's the difference between a dog wanting to eat a real hotdog and a rubber toy hotdog.

    • @txg1275
      @txg1275 Місяць тому

      The strength of plastics over live bait isn't whether fish will bite it. Fish will always eat live bait but only eat lures most of the time.
      Artificial lures shine in their ability for you to cover water FAST. Finding the perfect lure is 5% of the equation. Finding the right SPOT is 90% and you can find that spot way more effectively with artificial lures

      @@jasondadudetoo4176 I don’t disagree, I’m new to the sport and I’m still trying to get a feel for it. I have the gear but not the skill yet. My fish just aren’t biting, i don’t know

      @@fififornow8031 there is a learning curve with artificial lures that does not exist with live bait. I can bring my kids out with a can of worms and some hooks and bobbers and they can catch fish in minutes. Just keep practicing and keep learning

    Thanx Tyler. Just had a club tournament where that happened. Nothing was biting for me. Was out a week prior and caught them almost everywhere I fished. It's hard to get off a pattern that just worked.

      @@AndrewS-wj8be there are docks, pontoons all over the rivers and lakes here in Tennessee. I use them as habitat locations. In fact my largest Largemouth in Tennessee came from under a dock, then she went under a pontoon and finally into deep water before I got to see her. She was 7lbs 8oz. I have beautiful pictures

    Wow,I always hear you guys talking about the significance of main and secondary points and local lake is full of the and I've never gotten bit fishing them. I do all my damage on a channel swing bank. But it's strange how some of the most fundamental things simply don't work for me...kinda like fishin a jig lol, I can't get anywhere with them

    • @txg1275

      All the advice you hear is very generalized, but your lake can vary a ton. I improved my success a ton once I stopped trying to do "the things" that UA-camrs or even locals are doing, and just started covering lots of water. I've found a lot of fish that were not obvious at all, but on my lake.... They're there

      When someone says "fish hang out on bluff walls in the afternoon" or whatever, it may be true or not. But if you find a single fish on a bluff wall you can be damn sure I'm gonna try every bluff wall technique I've ever heard of.

    Side question , how early is to early to pre fish ?

    I have enjoyed a lot of your content here on U-Tube, considering getting some of your clothing too. One distraction watching these vid's is the Millertech box in the backround, Millertech please get him a better prop or banner/sign for the backround (this box just looks cheep). JMHO... sorry...
