Thank you for posting all these episodes, I've binged watch for the last month or so. I used to watch the White Shadow everyday after school in reruns in the 80's. Is it too much to want White Shadow action figures? LOL
Why not get some MacFarlane minis and make your own? That's what I do. I have made a "Ampipe High School" football player and a cheerleader based on "All The Right Moves" (1983) Going to be making a University Of Hawaii running back circa 1975-76 in a few weeks.
I kind of felt the way Haywood feels here when I first entered the legal field. I was unsure about my future, what I wanted to do in my life, and I was not comfortable in doing the leg work for others. Yet little did I know that experience would formulate the foundation for my upcoming legal practice. What I learned in those beginning years was priceless to my future. We all become scared and unsure about the unknown, but making an effort and persevere will generally benefit us in the long run.
Came across this show while watching a Nick At Nite Classic Tv Marathon here on UA-cam... The 🎄 episode from season 3 actually & had to look the show up specifically at 1st due to Ken Howard {whom i had 1st seen on an episode of my favorite show The Golden Girls, Don't Judge Me I Have An Old Soul🥴} From The 1st Episode i Was 🪝'd! Thanks So Much For Making This Available For A Newer Generation To Experience, Honestly Sad It Didn't Have More Seasons 🤦🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️💁🏿♀️💯
We were just so invested in the original guys. It was hard to get into new guys. That’s probably why this great show only lasted 3 seasons. It was too realistic for TV. Most shows based in a high school will have the same kids on the show for 6 years and you don’t see people graduating
@davidroberts2746 Unfortunately, the show never developed a consistent audience during the third season because CBS had moved it around. It had initially been shown on Monday nights. But when changing the times and the nights, then going on hiatus for a number of weeks. Add to the fact that 1980-81, the Third Season, there was a Writer's strike in Hollywood. All of these factors may have contributed to the cancellation of The White Shadow and many other shows.
@antoineemory6772 Moldee Hoses! Is that a fact? The two roles of his that are my favorites are both in movies where his character is murdered. He was great in those films because he was a good friend to the main characters. I won't mention the titles, so I don't spoil them.
officer lewis was one of the football players who was snapping towels at david banner before he locked him in the steam room in the football episode. hilarious.
Jazz isn’t as big of a deal to the world at large…some people think Beyoncé is the greatest singer ever yet have no clue who Ella Fitzgerald is…it’s so sad some people think Duke Ellington is just a nutty character in Nick Kroll’s animated series Big Mouth and have no clue he’s one of the greatest composers in American music history
It was an enjoyable scene to watch at the time between Reese and Maxine, but now in hindsight it's rather sad knowing that Nathan Cook (Reese) would die 8 years before Ella Fitzgerald. They both died in June, just 4 days apart.
as a retired cop I take offense to your statement I served 30 years on the force and was forced to retire because my partner and I were ambushed my partner was killed shot dead center in the heart I was shot in the head and almost died but I was air lifted to a near by hospital and the doctors were able to save my life. So I have to ask do you think I would give a shit if the guy that almost killed me and ended my career was killed even if he was unarmed. so before you start making those kind of statements you should think about the fact that we are on the front lines keeping ungreatful bastards like you safe from crime what thanks do we get we get called pig racist and killers so maybe instead of saying derogatory things about us you should get on your knees and kiss our ass other wise I don't give a shit what you think
Its crazy how 3 of the best episodes of the entire series took place right before they were cancelled. The Cops episode could be reboot with new actors, barely change the dialogue, and it would be totally accurate with today....sadly. Sadly, our society, has not learned anything from these situations. In the teacher episode, the very kids he was complaining about are the parents or grandparents of the knuckleheads we have running around today.
G16619 HOLD THE PHONE NOW THAT I THNK ABOUT IT FALAHEY"S GIRLFRIEND WAS PREGNANT SHE JUST TRIED TO PIN IT ON FALEHAY THAT THE BABY WAS HIS AND IT WASN'T
I hope yall learned something.. 40 years laters and the " I feared for my life" excuse still being used in real life.. Ramirez apology means nothing .the guilty cop wasn't remorseful .as usuall .. thanks mr Irwin Washington for the story
What they should have done for the last episode was make the closing scene a gathering of a team photo of the old players of Hayward Goldstein Reese and Gomez with the current team as well as the coach in a final curtain call
You would think after the influence Reeves had on his players that they'd exhibit more leadership. "Burnout" exaggerated the teacher while downplaying the discipline issues of the students. Burnout would have been a better depiction if his actions were overreactions. Very lazily written episode, but Richard did a fabulous job. He showed that he was above the script in his delivery.
Is the Ken Howard character supposed to be from New York. Coogahs? I know Mr. Howard was raised in Manhasset but I don't think they talk that way in Manhasset.
Love this show, but never liked the third season. Couldn't get into the new team members and thought the season relied heavily on guest stars and plots having nothing to do with the team. The second season was still the best one.
I have to say that at the time this show aired I was not a fan. I hated a lot of the storylines because I actually lived in South Central Los Angeles and the word " ghetto" didn't fit. They had neighborhoods and depending on the street and block, you couldn't tell if you were still in the city or a suburb. It's the people . Now I no longer have been living there and when I talk to family and friends they tell me how drastically things have changed. But this last show with the wonderful Ella Fitzgerald made up for all of those other irritating episodes.
Ha ha! I didn't watch WS either because I couldn't stand basketball and still don't... But I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these episodes, most of them for the first time. I've always loved "New Old Stock"
Can The White Shadow be recreated for today's time and audience 🤔I wonder if Gweneth thinks of that cuz her Dad did a helluva job just didn't get the boost of ratings needed! 🪙 🎥
This show was way ahead of its time. Used to watch it every Monday.
then season2 they switch to tuesdays
This Iconic Beloved Series bring Alot of Childhood Memories to me from the Late 1970s and Early 80s.
😅😊😢❤🙋🏾🙋🏻🙋🏼💕
These episodes are all very AWESOME

Thst would be so sweet. I got a copy of haywoods jersey
I agree. Super 7 can do it
Thank you so much for the download. This was my favorite show growing up. This brings back so many memories.
Rutherford and Mitchell had potential but they were no Hayward, Goldstein, or Reese.

So episode 15 is the end of the series, so sad, I just binged all 3 seasons! Thanks for posting this!
Great show!
The new players just didn't do much for the 3rd season. When some of the old gang returned, you saw a big difference.

they sucked.
Yeah and Cybil Buchanan invented twerking cuzZ.

Thanks for these. Miss this show so much.
At 1:32:35 the two Tracys from That's My Mama-another classic TV show from the seventies- sharing a scene. How epic!
Lynne Moody, the original Jenny Willis on All in the Family!!
Great show @@thomasterry1131
Wow. This show was ahead of it's time. Ioved the White Shadow.
At 43:07 Morris Thorpe relaxing in a pair of Pony tennis shoes. Those were the days. A nice tennis shoe.
Pumas were cool also
Pony made awesome stuff.
Thanks fer introducing me to what is now in my top 2 best series!
Good show, 70's style.
I always enjoyed Richard Lawson as an actor. He was really good in this episode.
alot of peeps dont know he is beyonce stepfather
@antoineemory6772

At 2:10:47 The guy who played Mr. Barter also played the role of a banker in the movie "Scarface ".
This is one of my alltime favorite shows.
I really like joan pringle syble buchannon she is one good looking lady
she's average at best.
Yes she was good looking at the time me being in elementary school watching this show.
This was my favorite show at the time
A Martinez was one great actor. He should have gone farther in his acting career.
Good old days
Sacrilege!!
No one has commented yet on the First Lady Of Jazz, the one and only Ella Fitzgerald being a guest star?!!!
Was wondering who Maxine Jeffries was until I saw the ending credits and oh man did I get a shock as to who she really was 😮
I’m glad you said it cuz I was throwing the same fit😅

You bet! It was wonderful to hear her sing again. No one, but NO ONE, sings with the heart and voice of the great Ella!

One of my favorite shows high school days. That cop episode is good. Cops haven’t changed 👎👎
as a retired cop I take offense to your statement I served 30 years on the force and was forced to retire because my partner and I were ambushed my partner was killed shot dead center in the heart I was shot in the head and almost died but I was air lifted to a near by hospital and the doctors were able to save my life. Cops are actually very hands off…look at most body cam videos if you want to see how much people get away with these days…
funny how a show back then about teachers and studentsare so true today
Thanks for posting
1:29:24 - guy deserved an Emmy for that speech. For the whole episode actually.
Teacher burnout is real, especially during the pandemic.
Everything he said about teaching is relevant today as well.
this entire show is a classic. 30 plus years after my high school days I still watch this to relive high school lives.
One of the greatest series of all time! That speech moves me to tears! Incredible!
Richard Lawson❤
Wow. The White Shadow was ahead of it's time. Things we are experiencing today.
Binge watching also

The straight recycled the fake pregnancy episode…in season one it was Reese and in seasons 3 it’s with the Irish guy
& the same cops we have running around here today

G16619 HOLD THE PHONE NOW THAT I THNK ABOUT IT FALAHEY"S GIRLFRIEND WAS PREGNANT SHE JUST TRIED TO PIN IT ON FALEHAY THAT THE BABY WAS HIS AND IT WASN'T
Collige it’s 3 am. They shot thorpe !! Best story line next to Jackson alcoholic & Gomez in jail & Harlem globetrotters washing cars

ELLA FITZGERALD! ❤
1:37:04 Alumni Episode
1st episode very progressive for the time period cheers
Falahey got his ass kicked by Zack Mayo in Officer and a Gentleman.

Thorpe got shot and his parents not at the hospital or at the police department demanding answers.
This young man does not look like President Obama...... or he doesn't sound like
they are only out of high school about 6 months and they are acting like it's ten years.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Both lynne moody and joan pringle play tracy on "that'my mama."
Rutherford graduated, married Michelle and became president of the United States.
😂😂😂
That dude looks like Barack Obama for real.
Wolfe Perry played basketball at 🏀 Oakland Tech HS and Stanford.
@@MDAA313 He was the best player on that squad. Coolidge got all the accolades.
hayward learned how to talk white for the final episode.
😂
Talk proper. No such thing as talking white.
Why didn't anyone coach the actor playing "Falahey" on what a Bostonian should sound like?
You're supposed to be from Southie, not Greenpoint dude.

Third season was different. Hayward, Goldstein, and Reese had graduated. CJ was murdered. New cast members were just ok.
They still say the Word "Negro" in the 80s.

No one was interested in learning at that school, that was a true representation of many ghetto schools
Still a rather bold take before Black Lives Matter.
