Hey guys, did you know that in terms of Pokémon, Vaporeon is the most thirsty? It is literally comprised primarily out of water itself, hence its ability to excellently camouflage itself underwater--it literally dissolves itself into water molecules for this. Thusly, would need a lot of water to sustain itself. Seeing as Vaporeon is 29.0 kg, it would take approximately 7.661 gallons to sustain its entire body, and potentially more depending on how large the Vaporeon is. However, seeing as merely 1.32086 gallons of water is enough to potentially overhydrate a human, leading to the depletion of important minerals like potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium, it may be worth considering the risk of water intoxication, should you choose to operate under the assumption Vaporeon is at risk of such a thing.
Additionally, the berry patch could be distributed from one Gba to another with a FRLG or Emerald by linking the two and holding select and b while the game booted up. This is technically the first DLC on a Nintendo console
Here's a weird one, a few years ago I was looking through some event stuff and I wanted the Notch-Eared Pichu in my copy of HG. (This is my test dummy copy of the game if I ever wanted to restart it or so.) I am aware that all pokemon have shiny sprites to prevent the game from crashing if things line up correctly. So I asked myself, "What if I made the Notch-Eared Pichu Shiny?" I knew it already had a sprite and everything and I thought it'd be neat. So I spawned it in one of my boxes, and took it to battle. However, things got kind of weird... when I ran into some tall grass, it did the screen transition with the white bars appearing on the screen (So either it was a high leveled pokemon or "legendary" ) though the thing that spawned...was a lvl 1 rotom. Which isn't even possible through normal means at all. I ran and tried to encounter another pokemon, it was another lvl 1 rotom. For some reason the Shiny N-E Pichu just changed my ENTIRE encounter table to lvl 1 rotoms. Why Rotom specifically??? No clue. But after I deleted the pichu the game went back to normal. I wish I was joking but that was honestly some next level creepypasta stuff-
Yamask gets weirder. They're apparently only formed when a person traumatically dies. (Murder, etc) Yamask will retain it's memories, and will endlessly look for the person who murdered it to exact vengeance. Also, the mask is SUPPOSEDLY always different, as it is the victim's face from their previous lives. Think about how many Yamask there are....
Can one (human) soul inhabit 2 different pokemon? Yamask comes from traumatic death, and honedge comes from a person being killed and possessing the sword
The fact about Shiny Pokémon in Gen 2 not being able to have Hidden Power Dragon or Grass type is incorrect. They would need to have the following IVs, HP 8, Attack, 15, 11, 7 or 3 Defence 10, Special (Attack and Defence) 10 and Speed 10. If they have that setup for their IVs they would not only be Shiny but also have a Dragon type Hidden Power. For them to be Shiny and have a Grass type Hidden Power they would need the following IVs, HP 0, Attack 14, 10, 6 or 2, Defence 10, Special (Attack and Defence) 10 and Speed 10. Also, the Odd Egg you get from the Day Care can be Shiny but will always have these IVs, HP 0, Attack 2, Defence 10, Special 10 and Speed 10 meaning you can get a Hidden Power Grass type Shiny from the Day Care.
Fun Fact about the Nosepass fact. It no longer can learn Iron Head as an Egg Move despite Aegislash being in the same Egg Group. It just doesn't learn it anymore 🤷🏼♂️😂
I think there is a small issue! Sorry, I LOVE Gen 2 and did a full shiny run, Gen 2 Shiny can only have grass or dragon hidden power. It's not impossible to have. It;s the only option. My shiny Mareep is a grass hidden power.
Time for the scariest pokemon fact of all, guzzlord never poops. According to the pokedex entry guzzlord eats literal mountains and houses constantly, but not once has guzlord poop been found
Technically, Z-Lunar Dance (and the other one) do have a Z-Move effect! They heal the pokemon switching in by 100% of their HP! I mean they're already gonna be healed so it's effectively nothing but if we look at other similar moves *technically* that's the effect it grants
Nosepass can’t learn Iron Head at all. I believe you meant Head Smash, a move that Nosepass was programmed to learn in HGSS (for some reason) but couldn’t actually learn.
I checked, and Nose pass can't learn Iron Head via egg move And even if could, would have been Ferrothorn the first one to be able to teach the move and not Aegislash
It's funny that the heavy ball glitch is in sun and moon because I caught my Groudon in SoulSilver with a heavy ball first throw. Weird that it works in an earlier game but not a later game
What's even weirder about the fact about Nosepass having iron head as an egg move is that when Aegislash was introduced, The move was removed from Nosepass's list of possible egg moves
Random note but Leavanny’s line hasn’t been native to any game post Gen 5 when they were introduced which is a shame cause I love the Leavanny line so I hope they’ll be in SV
Well ORAS had it as a hidden Pokemon on Route 101 and 104, with use of the DexNav, but otherwise yeah, can't encounter it normally in any other non-gen V game. Gen VI was the last generation where you could "catch 'em all" between the games. On another note, really weird how gen VII basically acted as a pseudo gen VIII, only letting you catch 1/2 to 2/3 of the total number of Pokemon to exist in that gen. Only difference was that Pokemon that were unobtainable in Gen VII were still able to be transferred into them and used with no issue, unlike gen VIII where the games won't even accept them.

I love these so much. Also, my friends and I have nicknamed most of our Gyarados “Skull Kraken” for generations because of that old poster. It’s a badass name!
Dude. Despite the name, Beedrill is not a bee. It's a wasp. A japanese giant hornet, more specifically. Just look up at images of this wasp and you'll see it. Bees are chonky and fluffy, Beedrill is sleak and thin like a wasp, I don't know what Nob Ogasawara had in his head when he changed this. Also, it has nothing to do with drills. It's japanese name is Spear. It's hand things are supposed to be lances. It baffles me that Nob didn't named Beedrill just Waspear, it would be the perfect name.
Of course they are closely related, but this is like calling Rattata a squirrel because rats and squirrels are closely related. Beedrill is indeed a very cool name, I love it. But it is not a bee. And I think it's a shame that some english names are so misleading, knowing it's a wasp, everything about it muchs so much more sense.
And you you know what's worse? Combee and Vespiquen are the true bee pokémon. With all the honey thing that Beedrill never had, because wasps do not produce honey and stuff. Vespiquen's japanese name is Beequeen. Why? Just why?

Phantump's Pokedex entry about being the soul of children lost in the forest becomes even more terrifying when you consider that its evolution, Trevenant, has entries saying they will shift to reorganize forests in order to make travelers lose their way. So upon evolving, Trevenant works to create more Phantump. The Gotta Catch Em All slogan disappearing with gen 3 is fitting, since that's also when it stopped being possible to Catch Em All, as you can't get Pokemon from gen 1 or 2 games into gen 3 (without hacking), and many gen 1 and 2 Pokemon can't actually be caught in the Hoenn games. This was mostly fixed with FRLG, and I believe was fully fixed with the releases of Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness, but those last 2 are side games and, again, when Ruby and Sapphire first came out, it just wasn't possible. I'm not sure if the lack of a slogan was intentional because of this or not, but still. Another interesting fact about catch rate calculations: because of how calculations were done, in gen 1, certain conditions made Great Balls more effective than Ultra Balls, specifically when the Pokemon has more health remaining. Also, for higher catch rates, Status Conditions became more important and HP less (might have that swapped around).
Skullkraken is actually Gyarados’ original name but it was scrapped due to the character limitation in the names, this is why I nickname my Gyarados “Skullkraken”
Fact:in pokemon black and white if you have all the boxes filled with pokemon and no space in your party then go battle reshiram or zekrom at n's castle the game will not force you to catch it and if you defeat it then go to the dragon spiral tower's top you can catch it there.
In version 1.1.0 of BDSP, the Berry Master's wife has the same text as in DPPt., The problem is that in BDSP she sells berries, and in DPPt she sells fertilizer, and the text describes how she makes the fertilizer. It was fixed by 1.3.0.
deino zweilous and hydreigon are based off of the german numbers one two and three, each corresponding to the number of heads it has. Just to add a touch more info to the Ruby/Sapphire Berry Glitch patch, you're able to use Emerald, Fire Red or Leaf Green as well to add in the patch, using Select and B on the title screen of the latter mentioned games, you will require 2 GBAs/SPs and a link cable in order to do it though, but sadly you can't obtain the shiny Zigzagoon via that method. Nintendo also stopped providing their services to do for you back in mid 2012.
Sort of linking to that pokemon poster, I once got a pokemon poster from a magazine and loved it as a kid, but when I went through it all one day I found out that 2 pokemon were missing, Torterra and Gastrodon but all their prior evolutions were still there
In Fire Red and Leaf Green, it's possible to get a Lv3 Electrode. There's a guy on Cinnabar Island who wants Raichu for his Electrode. Getting an Lv3 Pikachu in Viridian Forest, then using a Thunder Stone to evolve it, you can then trade your Lv3 Raichu for Electrode, and it'll be the same level, so it's a Lv3 Electrode.

@@danielxien6322 questions I do not yet have an answer for!
if you breed a Yamask are you breeding a dead soul or are you killing a new person for every egg?
Just like breeding a cubone, you gotta kill its mother everytime a cubone is born?
Oh, Arceus, what have I done…
"as an eggmove"
I checked, and Nose pass can't learn Iron Head via egg move
And even if could, would have been Ferrothorn the first one to be able to teach the move and not Aegislash
How about by using the Mimic move tutor in FR/LG, a Smeargle, and the Rage-Transform double battle glitch in D/P?
Oh my god. I spent HOURS in 2017 trying to catch a beldum in a heavy ball. It all makes so much sense now
The thought of the move Splash failing is hilarious 😂
It's funny that the heavy ball glitch is in sun and moon because I caught my Groudon in SoulSilver with a heavy ball first throw. Weird that it works in an earlier game but not a later game
Does that make Vivillon the only Pokemon who is different based on the region you play in?
Cubone having the name "Orphon" kinda makes sense since the word is similar to the word Orphan, plus im sure we all know why Cubone wears a skull all the time which makes even more sense if I say and it is kinda dark..?
Weird fact about egg moves in gen 7. Sableye is supposed to learn captivate, however no pokémon in the human egg learns by level up.
These type of videos always give really strong nostalgia. Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire era went so hard.
Brb headcanoning that Barry is absolutely the type of prick to get a poketch and then rehouse it immediately in a custom shell.
3:40
Technically, they just replaced his Magikarp with a Seaking. Strangely, this change is not in HeartGold and SoulSilver, which I think is a lot funnier cause he just has a level 29 nidoking and slowking then a level 65 magikarp. i just think its funny that he kept it a magikarp for 45 extra levels, like what are you gonna do with this?
I hate that I understood the vaporeon copypasta reference but it did make me laugh
I mean bees and wasps are closely relate, and not all bees are "chonky". also imo Beedrill sounds like a much cooler name
Why? Just why?
Waspear is a rad name
@@ThorinKyuubi bro wasps and bees are much more closesly related than a squirrel and rat. its not that misleading either, its a bug in a game.
Wait, would Magearna count for the actual longest running event out there? So long as it’s QR code is floating around online I’m pretty sure it can still be triggered, meaning it could never end.
The QR code is just a simple way to transmit a key, the activation requires an internet connection so Nintendo can stop the event whenever they want.
@@supermaster2012 well damn, I guess that’s one thing they’ve been generous about, because I got a Magerna just last year
@@supermaster2012
Magearna has no time limit. The QR code itself is the key. Even if it's eons in the future, as long as you can find and scan the QR code, you can still get Magearna.
@@SomeGuy712x you can literally not activate it without an internet connection, you're simply pathetically wrong.
no way Barry found the nonbinary poketch
GSC actually also has a Glitch City/Glitch maps, though you can only get to them by walking through walls. But they're pretty wild, because they corrupt a bunch of things like the names of your Pokemon and your trainer, your item bag, and the amount of badges you have. And in Crystal, it even corrupts the music, which is a lot of fun. TheZZAZZGlitch has a great video on it titled "Pokemon Crystal - Examining the "out of bounds" glitches"
11:42 Leavanny's japanese name is Hahakomori, haha means mother. Leavanny also from words leaves and nanny
The jolteon fact made me realise a mha character’s name literally means lightning lol
the berry "patch" is actually not a patch. it does up update your game to version 1.1 or 1.2. all it does is actually move the in game RTC forward pass the date the berry glitch will occur. if you delete your save file, you will need to do the "patch" again. your game is still on whatever version it is originally at (1.0 or 1.1). In fact, you can even do the patch on a 1.2 cart that already fixed the berry glitch as all it does is to move the RTC and is not exactly a patch like what we are used to in the newer games.
Thank you for all of your hard work finding these weird goofy facts. I've been playing Pokemon since I was 5 and most of the facts you give out I had no idea about them. I love these whacky facts. Thank you 😊
Phantump's Pokedex entry about being the soul of children lost in the forest becomes even more terrifying when you consider that its evolution, Trevenant, has entries saying they will shift to reorganize forests in order to make travelers lose their way.
I’m pretty sure Head Smash was also an unobtainable egg move for Nosepass in HGSS
"Did you know the pokemon Vaporeon" No I did not, No I do not, No I will not, Have a nice day.
Skullkraken is actually Gyarados’ original name but it was scrapped due to the character limitation in the names, this is why I nickname my Gyarados “Skullkraken”

Great vid bro
(pronounced eye-n (ein) zv-eye (zwei, but may be just zwei because its intended to be english) and dry (drei, but make the r sound german))
this isn't an attack but since I saw it somewhere its been bothering me every time I hear the evolution line mispronounced, although you could be doing that on purpose which is also fine.
You can breed a Pokemon with its own species!
technically, doesn’t partner eevee have the most signature moves? 9, to be exact
I remember they tried to bring back the "Gotta catch 'em all!" slogan in gen 6, obviously it didn't make sense to keep it around when they started removing pokemon from the games two generations later
Let's be honest: The objective of "cathing 'em all" stopped being a reasonable thing after gen 3.
@@grantwilliams2571 not reasonable but at least still possible, 5 and 7 are the only ones where you can't actually do it without transferring from a previous gen
Diamond & Pearl was 15 years ago? It feel like 6 years ago.
You can still get the Jirachi from Pokemon Channel. It also patches your game.
That Vaporeon hint... if you know... ya know
Ok the Vaporeon one caught me off guard and made me chuckle, thanks for that one.
Maybe Barry painted his Poketch......or his mom did because for some reason I just can't see mile a minute Barry doing that good a paint job.
At 5:28 you mention that shiny Pokémon in gen 2 can't have Hidden Power Dragon or Grass due to Hidden Power being determined by IVs, but it's the exact opposite. Shiny Pokémon in gen 2 can ONLY have Hidden Power Dragon or Grass due to how the IVs generate. Just wanted to let you know :)
Damn right Leavanny is Pokemon-Mommy, you see that bottom half got damn~
No I am not sorry for making you think of that.
I don’t know why but I have a vague recollection of Jigglypuff being called Pudding somewhere so Wigglytuff being falsely named Custard in that one poster is very funny to me
pretty sure it was Alpharad’s video on translating the names
Fun fact: my favourite Pokémon is jolteon
I did not know the little bits about Hidden Power, neat stuff!
Excadrill: literally has drill iin his name
Pokemon: _Subterrane pokemon_
z-lunar dance and z-healing wish actually do have a minor additional effect, however only in that z-moves circumvent effects that would prevent moves from happening, like Taunt or Encore.
Vaporeon: “The breedable Pokémon”
Z crystal on explosion makes it do LESS damage
In Pokemon battle revaluation, outfits of Pokemon can be shiny. Confirmed on reddit
Actually we do know they tried to use a more street punk style in the US and pikachu was a tiger with boobs…surprised you didn’t mention that
Just to add a touch more info to the Ruby/Sapphire Berry Glitch patch, you're able to use Emerald, Fire Red or Leaf Green as well to add in the patch, using Select and B on the title screen of the latter mentioned games, you will require 2 GBAs/SPs and a link cable in order to do it though, but sadly you can't obtain the shiny Zigzagoon via that method. Nintendo also stopped providing their services to do for you back in mid 2012.
Hearing "Inzauma" in pokemon as a genshin player made me shook for a sec lol
💀
Sort of linking to that pokemon poster, I once got a pokemon poster from a magazine and loved it as a kid, but when I went through it all one day I found out that 2 pokemon were missing, Torterra and Gastrodon but all their prior evolutions were still there
SKULLKRAKEN, such a cool name!
Leafainy reminds me of a Pokemon episode with it in there, and I feel like it was portrayed as a mom or at least a caretaker
11:22 What were you going to say?
In Fire Red and Leaf Green, it's possible to get a Lv3 Electrode. There's a guy on Cinnabar Island who wants Raichu for his Electrode. Getting an Lv3 Pikachu in Viridian Forest, then using a Thunder Stone to evolve it, you can then trade your Lv3 Raichu for Electrode, and it'll be the same level, so it's a Lv3 Electrode.
I've started liking these videos before I've even watched them, because I always know the content's going to be good.
Can't believe I subscribed all that time ago only to hear you say "Pokemon Mommy" just now
So, I've fallen in love with the channel... I've been watching a video a day... And trying to make them last while a binge them
The heavy ball is made to catch heavy pokemon, but if you try to catch an onix it break out immediately... Like why does the heavy ball even exist
Why did I already know the fact about Leavanny being the child raising Pokémon? It’s seriously something I never remember learning about before this.
I knew the fact about Yamask beforehand.
I think that's a first in this series.
Hey PapaSea, was thinking you could do a challenge of beating every gym leader with their own team
True Honor
Gotta Catch em All is still used in the Japanese anime, just not in english. The opening of Pokemon Journeys (1•2•3 by after the rain) says the phrase Kimi ni Kimeta a lot throughout the song. That being the Japanese version of that catchphrase.
"The early versions of Ruby and Sapphire about 20 years ago"
I'm sorry WHAT?
I remember saving up allowance and good grades money to buy pokemon Ruby as a kid. That was two decades ago.... o.o
leavanny sounds like nanny at one point
The orange pokeetch is an aftermarket mod made by the in-universe version of Mad Catz
11:24 i was about to scream so loud 🤣
6:48 so that means that we technically could’ve had a kind of regional variants a couple decades earlier
I can concur with the thumbnail that beldum is impossible to catch. Used a game shark to trigger wild encounters back in the day and caught a grand total of 0. It busted out of hundreds of balls.

Watching this video, I understood that only the original games, Red, Blue, Yellow (and Green) do not feature the Legendary Pokémon of their games on the cover. Imagine Pokémon Blue with an Articuno on the cover!
Barry was probably too impatient to wait for another poketch model color to come out so he painted it. This my head canon, but I'm ahead of the canon.
You could also get a nosepass with iron head via the dexnav I think.
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
what are the extra effects for z leer
Well Rhydon would actually be my first choice if asked what’s the drill Pokemon
That vaporion at the end scared me. I seen memes the furrys made about it...
11:21 hey hear me out ... Wait nvm you are right.
Man that one about Healing Wish and Lunar Dance kinda screws with me. I definitely remembered Healing Wish and Lunar Dance having some kind of wacky jank with their Z move, but I thought it...actually did something. I guess that was just Mandela effect at work.
I think the differences in Pokémon per region could’ve been good to have some kind of pattern or markings, I can’t remember what Pokémon it was but it was different depending on where you traded it from, and there was that bear looking thing with the different markings
I dunno if you did this one yet or not but i found it by accident when i was a kid, in platinum you can evolve glalie into froslass if it's female even though you shouldn't be able to evolve glalie into froslass
Barry doesn't have a model, he has a custom built one. Unlike you, his father is present in the game and is in the battle tower meaning he likely sends money home to his wife, meaning she could get a custom one for Barry.
At least that's my take on it.
