Always love how you structure your plans with the categories. Some really nice picks for next year, can't wait to hear your thoughts on all of these. Hope the DNF redemptions will be worth the return and hope the out of the comfortzone books will bring a lot of pleasant surprises! Happy reading 🤩
Great plan for 2025! I'm doing something similar with categories as well (including a sci-fi one!), just need to finalise a couple of last books :D Thank youuuu for mentioning the Audible Plus! I've grabbed King's Dragon now! And I'm really curious about Ancient as the Stars, so I grabbed the eBook of that, too. Yay for not looking at the synopsis xD I really hope you like No Land For Heroes - there's so much heart in it and some great underdog characters. Looks like you'll have some great reads next year!
Oh sweet, I wonder if we have any crossover 😃 I'm going to do King's Dragon in January, just in case it drops out of the free library (in which case it gets pulled out of my own library!)
Well I always give a certain recommendation when people are laying down their plans for next year so I see no problem in giving it to you as well lol. The recommendation I’ll give you good sir is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher if you haven’t already read it. It’s an Urban Fantasy set in Chicago starring Chicago (and the worlds) only openly practicing Wizard (with some Private Investigating on the side lol). You can find him in the Phonebook ya know lol. Anyway The Dresden Files is my 2nd favorite Series ever to only Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere so I always recommend it to people. As always I’ll throw out the disclaimer that the first 2 books are the weakest and I wasn’t sure I was going to continue them when I finished book 2 Fool Moon but I’m so glad I did because from Page 1 of book 3 Grave Peril I was hooked and have been ever since. Happy Reading!
I'm going to try to read the Dandelion Dynasty by Ken Liu next year, and maybe start the Bound and the Broken series. I still need to finish the Suneater series, Dagger and Coin, and the Kingsbridge series. I also plan to read Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. I'll definitely be reading more Tchaikovsky books. I'm not sure which ones yet. I will eventually read Memory Sorrow and Thorn, but probably not in 2025.
I am looking into your sf list. The 4. Book grabed most atention from me. . I am starting Sun Eater series. Got myself Best Served Cold. Need to get to Sword of Kaigen and other one. The Light Novel of 86-Eighty Six [war time with AI enemy....no no similarities to terminator absolutely NOT] will be finished at 15 volumes....I am at volume 4 so I need to speed the process. So far that is the plan.
Names are SOOOOOOO important (take note budding authors!). Simon? NO! I had to stop reading Servant of the Empire because of the love interest - KEVIN!!!! The Heroes - OMG, THE best book EVER!!!!!!
love the "out-of-my-comfort-zone" category!! we will get through them 🤗
Hopefully some nice surprises, or at least no horrors!

Fingers crossed on both counts. Happy reading for 2025, Esmay!
I also have something you have on your TBR - Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn
I have looked at it a couple of times, but this is the first time I've made it official by putting it on a plan!
Fantastic reading plans for the year mate! I had similar feelings around The Iron Truth and plan on reading Lonely Castles in 2025 as well!
Iron Truth was a weird one in that respect, I've not had a book make me feel like that before. Hope we both enjoy book two!
Great plan for 2025!

You should definitely read the exact same books that Dom tries. For science!
All of them, or just a selection, maybe just one, perhaps? 😅
@@dominishbooks I mean, science is important . . . but if there's room for just one, sometimes you have to make hard choices . . .

Oh Dresden is definitely not for me! I'm not a fan of urban fantasy.

That's a fair selection, and some big ole books in there for you!
