Love to hear that you finally had such an exceptionally strong month. Can't wait to hear more of your thoughts on The Brotherhood of the Eagle, I think it only gets better in terms of character work and plot complexity! Also definitely adding The Queen's Assassin to the TBR, I love me a sassy FMC.
I DNF'd The Court of Broken Knives a couple years ago. I picked it back up and read it this year. While I finished it, I will not be continuing the series. I'm not too sure why it didn't really work for me 😢
🤔 This episode reminds me that I’d really like to do some James Barclay rereading. It has been a very long while for me, but “so many, so little,” we all know the refrain! 😆
I never read anything from Anna besides her short story in the Unbound II anthology and I absolutely loved that one. Made me want to read The Court of Broken Knives, so bummed you didn't like it!
I tried to read that Anna Smith Spark series several years ago. I struggled through books 1 & 2 and dnf'ed book 3. Felt like it was trying too hard to be grimdark.

Glad you had such a good month.
Thanks for featuring Hall of Bones and giving my book another go! So glad you enjoyed it so much 😁
Me too, Tim!
Dude I didn't even know about that Mike Brooks book. Gotta check it out.

Dawnthief was a great turn-of-the-century fantasy read.

Plenty of people I know who have read it really liked it, so hopefully so will you!

I really want to read Hall of Bones next year!
You should. Everyone keeps telling me book two is even better as well.
