I spent 25k on my 96 f350 XLT DRW With Quad Cab at 108k Miles. Prices for these trucks have gone up, mine was mint had no rust whatsoever, chips cracks or anything missing. You used to be able to find them with 4x4 for around 30k. The quad cab DRW are nearly impossible to find with 4x4. The main reason dealerships are doing this is because instead of going and buying a newer diesel or even a brand new one for 60-100k or more they'll buy this one, and why? Because reliability and these trucks are legendary especially if taken care of right. Most can go up to 300- 400k miles before you start replacing things. Some have even reached over 1 million miles. They don't make them like they used to some newer diesels need major repairs even before 100k now a days. Also there's no emission systems except for a catalytic convert another reason why people love these trucks. You used to be able to get a truck like this for 15k which is what it's worth even with low miles and being Clean.

The reason the radio display and such were so dim was because it has an auto-dimming feature when the headlights are on. Very nice truck. Love to have it
Remember when you could pick these old truck for a couple hundred. I had an 88 I bought in 2006 for 500 bucks. It did have alot of miles but now those same trucks with those miles go for 10k or more. It's crazy.

On the osb 7.3 trucks, you don’t get full voltage from the alternator until the glow plugs turn off…. Usually takes about 2 or 3 minutes when you first start a cold truck. Once the glow plug relay cycles off, all the lights go to normal brightness.
@@mrorangethecat4256 took me a little bit to put those two together when i got my 7.3 ps. I was used to my gm 6.5td. Where the glow plugs were on when the light was unlike the 7.3 they are on up to 2 minutes depending on oil temp

You ain't never lied I've got a 7.3 my dad has a 6.7 idk i love the way mine sounds but my daily used to be a Cadillac and im used to quiet lol so at times i prefer his. But over all my 95 is way better looking than his.
That so called paint defect is caused by rocks from the tires they did or do have a plastic shield that is Installed under neath the rear finders to prevent that.
The light on the radio is a ground wire that needs to be taken off clean up and put back on. I have had 4 ford trucks around this year 1990 , 1993, 1994, 1996 all of them did that and thar was the problem on all of them

@@thegxpguy The trailer brake control allows you to activate the trailer brakes without using the truck brakes, the further you push it the more brake is applied, most are adjustable for various trailer applications, be careful, you can lock up the trailer brakes and flat spot your tires. It is connected to your trailer via your light plug connection.

You couldnt get that trk as 4x4. Wasnt offered at that time. My 97 f350 is a 4x4 dually but it isnt a pickup. Mine is a cab n chassis trk. If you find a 4x4 dually then its a conversion from a 4x4 single rear wheel trk

looks to me to be the Guage it was saying 10 volts which my truck won't even start at... and when the alternator kicked in it didn't go back to normal
