There are comedians (I assume from your example, you are not one), that do that very well, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle spring to mind - if you’ve not heard of them you might check them out, it would definitely improve your material. Criticising Mr Lee for not being like Mr Carr though is a bit like criticising a fish for not being very resilient in desert conditions - perhaps a camel would be a better choice.
