B.C. offers homeowners incentive to build laneway houses

British Columbia has unveiled a housing credit of $40,000 for anyone willing to build an additional housing unit on their property and rent that out at an affordable price. It's meant to help address the housing crisis, but critics say the measure doesn't go far enough.
