feel like this remaster occupies a weird spot in which it's simultaneously not very impressive and also way more impressive than lots of people seem to give it credit for. like by all accounts this seems to be a complete visual remake, it just treats the look of the original as a more deliberate choice rather than a result of limitations.
Yeah, this is the kind of "faithful remaster" that most people want when you see someone complains that a remaster of other games "disrespects the artstyle of the original". This is the best that they will get without entering the "HD Texture pack" problem.

Loving all the extra detail that's being added into Dark Moon HD. For example, Luigi's hat actually flies off his head after bumping into his chair at 1:28; there's added lip syncing for certain voice clips that originally didn't have any like at 3:01, and of course more natural lighting to make use of his flashlight as well as extra detail being added to originally flat textures like at 2:26. Not too shabby for an HD remaster. Of course, not everyone's gonna think the same, but me personally they nailed it.
Most of this looks really nice on Switch, but right at the start of this video, the overview of the valley just looks much better on 3DS. That scene benefits from a lower resolution, at least with those models (which were made for lower resolution)
I just got Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and the visual upgrade is great, one of the things about it being on the 3DS for me was the cramped controls and yeah the visuals were fine for the 3DS, but I always wanted version that was sharper.
It's probably a good game to get if you don't have it on the 3DS, especially for the Skyscraper (the online mode), I spend hours and hours on end on that mode! But, well, I can't really blow 60 for a game I already have
I just hate how older animations look on higher Polly models. They just look really stiff and soulless when. The animation was not built with all the extra face details in mind

The graphics in the HD version looks good but my only complaint is that i feel they made king boo less threatening, they sort of combined his character model from luigi's mansion dark moon on the 3ds and luigi's mansion 3 on the switch which really doesn’t work

This looks like a game from Wii that upgraded to WiiU, and I don't think it's worth the price as of now. It would be if they made a remake with noticeable changes.
I appreciate that that the game is cleaner and REALLY appreciate that its darker, but at the end of the day the gameplay is still DM and there not a lot to compel someone who has already played it to buy it again for $60.

i will admit, the graphics in the switch version are better, but as for the cutscenes, the 3DS is better as they express emotions way better, when luigi looked scared breathing in an out with his back to the door, you see his jaw moving in the 3DS version but the switch version, his teeth aren't even moving.
I honestly prefer how the colors and lighting looks on the 3DS. Something about it is kinda cozy, but helps with the "creepy" atmosphere. The Switch one looks a bit more generic I guess and kinda takes away from what made Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon stand out to me. Then again, graphically, the Switch version is much better, but I prefer the style, I guess, of the 3DS.
I always remembered E.Gadd with swirl glasses, but it’s really just smaller circles. It’s a bit of a trope, so I wouldn’t have thought otherwise without looking really closely.

I think they nailed the graphics but one thing that I must point out for me at least it seems as if Luigi is far more expressive on 3DS then Switch

I am playing the switch versión right now and haveing playes Luigis Mansion 3 I mist say this game looks awesome.
I think the main thing is that people are finally able to play this on a modern console. The bonus is that the visuals have improved so much.
It's nice to have a return of this amazing game!

Better quality overall, but you can tell that there are lighting differences with some of the models.
