Yep, nice and neat 3 times measure for 1 cut !!! The only thing I am concerned is the weight . It looks it will be 1 ton when is finished and that is quite heavy for the length of 580. What is the estimate all up weight by drawing ?
Hi Jim, Looking good. I am following your blog with interest. In relation to the 6x1 inch oak pieces on the mast step, is this something you decided to do or is this part of the plan? I can't seem to find much detail on the plan as to what is required.
Hi Daniel, Your'e right, the plans don't do much detail. I thought Alan in the B&B video mentioned oak for the mast step, so I went for oak everything but it is heavy. Other builders went for other woods. How are you doing ?
@@liffeysailor3493 All good here, very much in the early stages with just a couple of frames done. As a very novice builder I am getting a lot of good info from your videos. Thanks!
@@danturneradventure9291 Good to hear Daniel. Take your time and enjoy it. Get every part as right as you can, without being too silly about it. The kit is fantastic and when I see something out, I know it's my fault ! Jim
Great progress jim, thanks for shearing with all us intrested partys, keep it up and most of all enjoy the process . If you dont mind me asking , are you based in Dublin? Best Regards , Josh.

Fair play. Great progress!
Thank you Gil, slow but steady.

I think it's estimated at 750 kg, but don't quote me on that ?
