PLEASE KEEP IN MIND when you are watching my videos: I am showing you the least expensive, quickest "backyard" methods for repairing or servicing your lawnmower. Replacing all components such as gaskets and fuel lines is always recommended when rebuilding or repairing equipment. With these videos I hope you are able to fix and repair your lawnmower yourself with minimal parts, knowledge and tools. Thank you for watching!
Very informative, have to replace carb. now I know that I will do the job myself......Thanks, DW
Thanks Jeff: I end up using some aftermarket carbs because most of my customers will not pay for Original equipment. I rebuild with I can, but sometimes they are to far gone and if I get an OEM kit and labor it's cheaper to try aftermarket carbs. The big box stores are selling crap engines in my experience and that with customers that don't maintain equipment makes me really busy sometimes. I had a guy that I fixed an old Troy Built tiller ask me to take off the new parts I had put on. Crazy, Thanks for the video's.
Great vid! I have had good luck with the aftermarket carbs myself.
Nice swap out, you make it look so simple!
Another great video Jeff. I like how you tell the viewers they can replace hoses or items if they want, but your running with whats on the machine (Don't replace parts that are still in usable condition). Good job and "There's you dinner"
thank you, yes some gaskets and other parts can be reused in my experience without any issues., .....it's only a lawnmower not the space shuttle right?
On days it doesn't rain or snow you should hose everything down. Keep up the good work!
Im really liking the videos man love the channel I've subbed
Great fix, I’ve used aftermarket carbs before, mostly with good results. Last year on a Honda powered generator. OEM carb and components were almost $180.00. after market $30.00. Ran perfectly, customer was pleased.
good to know they are getting better
I've used 3 aftermarket carbs . And all three worked fine. All three different also. One for a Chinese motorcycle, One for an old Briggs generator , One for a rider similar to this . Knock on wood.
Here’s my .02 cents whenever I use a garden hose to clean off grease and dirt I always attach hose to hot water tank drain and run straight hot water. This works as good as a low pressure power washer.
cool tip! That is the first time I have heard of doing that
@@JeffsLittleEngineService it works phenomenal
Rush hour!!! HAHAHAH I wish all my rush hours were like your.
I love that junkyard I want one
Great ..real world vid. SUBSCRIBED..Thumbs up. Best to you snd yours.
Thank friend.
You're very welcome.
Did you check the oil? Did youputthetins back on to cool the heads?
I was mowing a lawn and my mower died just vibrated and came to a stop instantly it blew the rod I’m pretty sure I haven’t had time to take it apart just happened today I know it’s probably the rod bc the piston isn’t moving and I can push it back with the screwdriver it made no since because it had plenty of oil but wonder if the oil pump failed and didn’t get oil up there but there was always this knock flr about 2 weeks and I always use it everyday so Mabye it did that because it was under load and didn’t wanna run anymore
If that engine would have been sitting in my yard all year with those open manifolds it would have been a rusty fish tank in the crankcase or at least the cylinders. It rained like hell all summer and into the fall.
Thanks Jeff: I recently did the same job on v- twin. after it started to run there was a lot of white smoke with oil coming from the muffler. is that a blown head gasket?
it could be... also sounds like it could be a gas flooded oil sump compartment. this is caused by a flooding carburetor
Hope you can respond to this. Have a husqvarna 2016 m-zt 52, 26 hp B&S v-twin. Replaced fuel pump, still no gas to carb. Ran it for 30 minutes with external, gravity fed fuel tank, ran fine. If it runs does that mean the fuel solenoid is working? Your guess on the problem. Runs for a minute when I hook the pump back up, until the carb is dry.
fuel solenoid is ok. check make sure engine vacume line to pump is not cracked
@@JeffsLittleEngineService Thanks for your response, it appears to be all right. Maybe I should get a new one anyway. I was thinking of making it gravity fed with shutoff valve.
i need a carb like that,,how much you pay for it and where,,what is the part number? thanks.
You can get it online on Ebay or Amazon. just search for Briggs and Stratton Intek twin cylinder carburetor
Why didn't you just take the bowl off the new carb if it's the same size & use it on the original carb?????
when i find a good aftermarket carb i buy 4 or 5 10 bucks is way better then 80 to 800. bucks
ice cream truck for sale... you have any videos on it.
would be cool to have in the usa.
It's for Sale in Washington State for $1150.00
Dude I love your work. BTW, that voice, something about it. Is it possible you related to Ted Nugent?
lol! possibly!
That's a 22 horsepower Briggs ain't it? I have a John Deere D130 and they call for this carb but mine has a single barrel carb and not this one!!!
Through soom paint on it and call it rebuilt!!!!!! LOL
Yeahman if it aint broke you dont have to fix it!
Good job Jeff saving from the boneyard. If someone buys this tractor and uses it for ten years it will save the environment from the degradation of all the effluent from building a new one if you sell it high enough in price that someone who would normally not use a riding mower now uses the shit out of it then producing more degradation if ya'll get my drift. Sell high, buy low. Chuckle snort.. good job Jeff. Riding that mower without the fan shroud at high power will over heat those jugs pard. Oh one last thing. About a vid of your's where ya'll tried to use a feeler guage to seat the seal. Not sure we need to teach that to young'uns because of the very thin nature of the needed guage to cut like a knife. One more truthful mediocre statement. When using sandpaper don't use it after oiling stuff. It stays inside thee moterin.
Good tips!
So you didnt rebuild you just put back together what you took apart in the first place
you are right, "rebuild" is not the correct word for this procedure. I did not take it apart.
28:00 engine sound valve very bad
I will check it out again I don't hear it in the video. It was a cold engine
How much for the Ice Cream Truck ? 🤔😋😂
$650.00 needs engine work
Do you have a permit to run a business in a residential neighborhood?
probably
@@JeffsLittleEngineService Subscriber- " Did you apply for the permit at city hall or municipal office or some govrrnment building? "
Jeff - " Maybe. "
is he hurtin' you? With all due respect mind your own business... oh my God he's got chickens get 'em! Go Away please
Sometimes dead is better.
Nah, I wouldn't say that.
Those engines are just so much trash.
But I guess if it can be fixed for cheap, why not. I sure do hate those things though.
you are right!
