  • Finally, I can install the piston and lever into the group.
Manage to get an Allen key from my 3D printer installation kit.
The application of the food grade Mollykote greese is pretty easy and straightforward. It's only the installation of the pressure gauge is a bit tricky.
The tricky part is actually getting the correct angle and placing the holder onto the group and aligning it with the screws and inserting the screws from the pressure gauge onto the group itself.
I have also found that the wooden panel that is on the side with the temperature and steam activation control is loose and not fitting. These minor imperfections make the entire experience of owning the Argos up to this point, less enjoyable and less satisfied.
Maybe it will change my perspective after I use it later.

The wood panel can move because it's attached with magnets. They did it that way because they need to let the natural wood move. magnets let the wood move without cracking when it's exposed to heat and humidity (or the humidity of a different city). It's a feature, not a bug.

I don't think it is supposed to be what you had mentioned. If that is so, why is one side snug fitted and one side so loosely fitted. This is definitely not by design and a definitely manufacturing fault here.

Thanks, CY. May I ask whether there are rubber feet or a plastic tray below the machine? There may be a concern if there is water/moisture ( from brewing) trapped between the metal base and the table.
