Damn I am old. I remember watching this game on tv. That era of college bball was really something!

The best era hands down then it peaked and came crashing down to where we are today unfortunately! Actually it's been terrible for well over a decade, maybe two decades now but who's keeping track Lol

Yes sir - and I miss the days of Full Court Presses - wearing a point guard out physically before he even crosses half court - ((40 Minutes of Hell "Arkansas Razorbacks")) - dam I miss those days

@@christopherbrock8913 I was a huge fan of that great Arkansas team with Day & Mayberry.

@@gokhanguneysu3419 yes sir 👍🏾 Corliss Williams (Big Nasty), Corey Beck, Scottie Thurman were my guys - Came back in the 2nd half and took down Duke for the championship - but I still can't explain what happened that next year in the championship game when that freshman Toby Bailey came out of nowhere and hit 20 points for UCLA - I was in the 7th grade and I dam near cried that night - but those games in that era was just different - you always knew North Carolina, Kentucky, and Duke was going to be there - but teams like UNLV (Larry Johnson and those guys), Michigan, Arkansas and others would make their presence known also - those were the best days

@@gokhanguneysu3419 I would have loved to have seen that UNLV championship team play against the FAB 5 - but they missed each other by a few years - That UNLV team had all 5 staters get drafted also - Larry Johnson and Corliss Williams had the same type of style - they were my favorite 2 college basketball players - and Glenn Robinson for Purdue was my other guy

Got to watch Nick the Quick play regularly at UC. What a treat to see him cook when he was the go to guy. He was amazing.

Give credit to Jimmy King for balling out in this game, love me some Nick Van Excel. Great game.

NVE was a top Point Guard at that time 91-92 circa to go first round in the 93 draft at 9th-10th overall. However his attitude caused him to drop into 2nd round especially with his encounter with coach George Karl

when the game's over and Michigan wins, the silence from the announcers is deafening. They barely said another word, as the establishment did not want these guys to win

Great highlights... 7 future NBA players in one game. (Michigan: Webber, Howard, King, Rose, Riley. Cincy: Van Exel, Blount) Close game, but rebounding (Mich 45 to 27) and poor 3pt shooting (6 for 22) doomed Cincinnati.

I miss basketball like this. Free flowing, passing the ball, using the post, teams using presses and traps... actual strategy. Now it's just endless high screen and rolls and three pointers. Boring.

Facts! Basketball sucks now. Everybody just wants to jack up threes the whole game.
