  • Hi-lift jack, some chains, and lots of motivation. We got there eventually.
The sketchiest part was actually getting the truck up my driveway, but I did not record that unfortunately.
Now that it's set, I can move on with ventilation, insulation, electrical, etc. Lots of work to do.

Good Job! Especially by yourself! You’re working smart not harder.

My grandfather was a farmer, and he had a bunch of those jacks around... seemed like several in every machine shed.

I’m literally having to do the same thing with my shipping container. There are so many videos out there in moving these things but your video is the closest to what my project is. The difference is that once I’m done getting it straight, I’ll be moving it back 40ft.
    Great video man!

Thanks! The key really is getting some wood underneath. It wasn't too hard to slide around once you give it something to scoot on!

@@shieldmaidenbikes771 great tip. I’m sure it’s going to be a multi-day project. But it’ll be fun.

In Australia they call them Kangaroo Jacks. Which I use as a reminder to keep my body well clear of the handle in case it jumps up and kicks me in the chest or face and to use my foot to kick the pin, in case it bites my fingers.

Insofast has container insulation and you can even do it on the outside. TheContainerGuy up in Canada makes brackets if you want to stud out the outside for insulation and siding...that way you lose no interior room, you can weld to the walls and you can make sparks and they just hit metal not flammable stuff.

Good to know. I just found out that my container is about 2’ close to the property line and the county is telling me I can’t have it but I filed an appeal. I’m hoping they’ll approve it and all I’ll have to do is move it! 😡🤞
