Carlisle and Godolphin are the best on me. Herod is weak. Nice opening but boring drydown on me. Oajan is a masterpiece - but I react badly to it on my skin. It induces headaches (had to swap it :( ) My next on the list to try is - Habdan. Can't find it anywhere.
I think I got a bad decant batch of Habdan because comparing both, Oajan is BY FAR the best. Look at Oajan's dry down. That's a masterpiece. I am still trying to find something in Habdan. Thank you for your video!
I have to be honest here, I feel like a kid on Christmas day. I received Layton and Percival three days ago and Pegasus just arrived to my house so I am going to race home from my office and try it out. I love Layton and complements, oh yeah. Percival received complements too so I am giving all them a couple of wears then I will let them sit for a few weeks to for the maceration process. Both Percival and Layton are 4 months old so that is the plan for all three but so far, I am loving the WOW factor of these fragrances.
For my view, Parfum De Marly one of the best fragrance brand in the world. Therefore I currently have Layton, Herod, Pegasus and Oajan. Layton surely is something special so we can say it is kinda best but for the other three those are also very unique and high quality parfumes. Really great
I remember a few years ago I had Layton and I liked it but didn't have time to potentially develop into a love because it gave me headaches. I was relatively new to niche fragrances though and up to the present, my olfactif palette has developed exponentially. I'm tempted to pick it up again and see what happens. I liked Herod as well but the performance was just so balls which is unfortunate as I love tobacco fragrances. Here's hoping Layton doesn't whoop me upside my head again.

It's personal now! lol I'll get a sample of Habdan as well. I was curious about it but your video has me pulling the trigger. Btw, I'd love to hear your thoughts on more middle-eastern fragrances from Arabian Oud, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, Amouage, etc. When time and opportunity permit that is! Love that scent! I always recommend people to sample fragrances before buying a full size so that they don’t regret it if the scent doesn’t work with their skin chemistry
Can't say it is good or bad. But it is kinda clone of Creed Aventus which is one of the most preferred/liked parfume for summer. So there is nothing to surprise of

Layton is like the niche equivalent of Dior Sauvage. The safest, mass appealing, blind buy choice from PdM, like Naxos for Xerjoff, the Corolla of Toyota. =P

Yeah it can definitely be a bit intense! It’s more of a scent I’d wear when I go out! I really love Habdan right now haha

I haven’t tried Kaplan yet but I’ve been loving Layton, Carlisle and Habdan (need to wear the other two more). Layton is the most versatile of the 3

Layton has a metallic, screechy note on my skin that I just cannot stand. For me, Carlisle is the king.

Layton is the mass appeal but Pegasus Exclusive is going to set you apart by a couple more miles. Same DNA just almondy and incense.
