Soon as I lifted mine 2.5 inches with the 35’s , they just started looking too small. But with no lift the rubicon looks perfect at that size. I upgraded to 38’s and wow what a difference.. . I wouldn’t lift it until you wear out that set. Plus you’ll enjoy the mpg
I've been running 315/70/17 tires on stock wheels on my 2018 JLUR, its stock suspension, just have steel bumpers, rock rails, after market tire carrier, ive done some difficult trails and no tire rub at all, even had the tires fully tucked in the wheel well
4.75" backspacing was the right choice, however you will definitely not want to flex the suspension much with those spacers on. The tires will go right into the fenders. Not rub, but bash directly into them. I too run 35" on my 2021 JLUR with 4.75 backspacing, but NO spacers. Mine will rub slightly as when flexed, the tire tucks up inside the fender. Yet they stick out a tad on the street, just obviously not as much as yours.
I went with Method 703 on 35 and noticed the tire/wheel combination takes a good portion of the bottom rearview camera view. How is that working for you ?
I have a 2017 JK Unlimited Sahara on 20s with all terrain tires & I dont do rock crawling shit because I do overland sport & I love my setup. So it all depends on what you like doing in the Jeep community sport.
I ordered a rubicon it will have Tires: LT285/70R17C OWL Off-Road Tires Wheels 17-Inch x 7.5-Inch Machined Whls with Black Pockets how much bigger tire can I go and keep these wheels and no lift......... thanks
The width of the wheel is the limiting factor. Once you go to a 12.5" wide tire the specs are going to call for at least an 8" wide wheel and the largest size that I know of that isn't over 12" wide is 285/75/17 (34"). There is a 275/80/17, but the only tire that I know of that comes in this size is the Goodyear MTR and it is a D load range.
I just got those same wheels installed on my Jeep. The tire shop said the factory TPMS sensors would not work on these wheels, so I currently don’t have any in. That being said, we’re you told the same and if not, have you had any issues with the Factory TPMS? Also, if you opted for different TPMS, what did you go with?
I am assuming you are running stock gearings with these big boyz. Are you OK with the performance penalty with the stock gears? Do you keep track of your mpg before and after? If so, what's the mpg penalty? In any case, the rig looks great!
Everything is stock. Mpg went down slightly but I’m still averaging between 16-18 mpg. Have absolutely no issues with performance, still very punchy and no lag in throttle response
@@zombiedogs surprisingly, no noticeable difference in performance. It’s still just as quick and nimble as it was with the stock BFGs. Does not struggle at all
So when you are doing just regular everyday street/city driving are there any kind of rubbing or grinding while driving or making turns and are the spacers a necessary?
@@juggernaut8647 Absolutely! The next video will be a bit more in depth after almost 8 months of ownership. I’ll definitely cover my experience with the setup
DMV~ looking at a white Wrangler 4xe for everyday driver and some off road camping fun. can't decide on Sahara or Rubicon. do you know if the handling is about the same? i heard the Sahara is a smoother ride but what's your take? how's the road noise on the highway?
As a daily driver, a stock Sahara would most certainly be the more comfortable ride over a stock Rubicon IF you plan on keeping the factory tires and wheels. If you had plans to swap them out and go bigger, you’d be sacrificing some comfort for more road noise and a less smooth ride. So really just depends

what a solid ride you have right there ... the perfect stance, congrats ..
Nice mate that's so much better all you need is that snorkel 😉
🤨😏
Please make more video about this JL !!
Will be uploading a new video very soon 😉
Good job, looks great too.

I’ve had zero issues with visibility.
Nice stance! Nothing crazy just right. 👍
Thank you! 🤘

Hello, nice rig. I’m also in Md . What size tires are you running
These are 315s, so 35s

Yep, I had to swap them too. But the shop I went to put them on so I’m not sure what they went with

What tint percentage do you have on the windows?
5% all around, except the windshield
What engine option you choose, and how do you like it?
I have the 2.0 and I absolutely love it. I had mixed feelings going into it but I’m happy I went with it over the V6
I as well have the 2.0 turbo in my 2020 rubicon and love the performance it has. Getting ready soon too do a 2" mopar lift with 37's
Rain guards ?
Yep have the in-channel rain guards
That looks perfect
Looks great. Looking at a similar set up for my 2020 Rubi. In difference in driving performance with the change? Acceleration, gas mileage, etc.?
No real change in your performance but I am averaging between 15-17mpg
@@dand00zle Are you using a Taser JL or anything else to calibrate the speedometer and shift points?

Nice rig! Curious what engine did you go with? And what bracket on the tailgate did you go with?

Do you think I can use a 20 in. Without lift ??
So. You bought a jeep.
I couldn’t imagine buying a Jeep and modifying it to make it less functional. Plus it looks like you stuffed the tires in there. Bad choice.
Appreciate the feedback! Can’t please everyone
@@dand00zle it’s your Jeep. As long as you like it, it’s good.
