That 240 is BEAUTIFUL. It’s exactly like my dad’s except he has a red pin stripe from factory

I love my 240. I should have started this channel years ago when I bought that thing

Thanks for the inpiration! I found a 96 blazer in the local pull-A-part, scored all of the parts needed for this swap. i have repaired a couple of cracks and painted the grill. I will be swapping everything as soon as I get the grill clear coated.
I also have been through all of the replacement LED crap lights that last a year.
    Thanks again

The cool thing about that gen of S10 is the option of installing a phantom grill.

Links to the various parts you used would be a helpful addition, especially what type of LEDs you used in dash (?), in turn signals, etc. I like the black-out grille and the composite headlights. FYI, I just bought a '96 Blazer 4x4 and it doesn't have those composite headlights, it has the sealed beam style, which I will be changing, per your video -- much better light.

I've been watching this series since I have an idea for a "budget Maverick" and I think the S10 is the best looking for that idea. I'm definitely enjoying this series and what you can do and what to expect 😈

I like the old sealed beam version with LEDs and glass

I have done that with my older S10s and my 240. But not those tacky ones with 27 little LEDs. Those are so terrible.

I'm 4 months late but damn man. I would way rather have the sealed beam. They offer so many nice LED replacements for the sealed beam. I personally want a second gen from the first half of production, just for the fact that they use the sealed headlights like the 1st gen s10. Just simple. You're stuck looks sweet tho and so do the new lights. I just like the sealed lights with the buckets for simplicity and they seam tough

Tried this on passenger side snd it worked until i switched from low beam to high beam then i lost my low beam. Even after putting the old bulb in. Also lost both side markers. Now I'm lost

What did you use to change the dash lights? My dash lights on my 1997 bulbs are soldered into the bulb holders. Can't find any replacement holders.

You can buy separate sockets that will take the new led bulbs

So could you use the old grill and just bolt the new light brackets on?

You would have to cut out the headlight openings in the old grill for the blazer lights to fit.

Unfortunately that thing is long gone. But it was pretty rough. The chrome was cracking and peeling, and plain worn off in some spots.

I hit a deer 🦌 or more like a deer hit me, busted my grill along with other damage.
Ill be happy to take the old grill off ur hands as I am in need of one.
If you no longer have use for it?
Glad I came across ur video. 🌭
