    I loved the yamaha r6...... until I went into a dealer today and sat on a zx6r I fell in love with it.

    Just got this bike a couple weeks ago, but I got the matte black. The green/black looks amazing. Kawi did such a good job on this bike.

      Yeah definitely. I can't flatfoot the bike and I'm 5'7. You'd have no problem footing the bike.

    I'm starting out on a Ninja 300,...I'm too inexperienced to be on anything bigger! I don't have my bike yet,but DEFINITELY going with Kawasaki no matter what!

      I believe that kawasaki's make the best bikes. 300 is a good choice.

    • @BastianSchwarz
      @BastianSchwarz 7 років тому +3

      Indeed, a good choice. I kinda miss my 300 a bit. It's waaaay more comfortable than a supersport and has more power that you can legaly use on most streets.

      Jayden Valentine why not the 1299 superlegerra? I feel it's lighter weight could be beneficial to a beginner

      I really like Kawasaki bikes.. but this is what has been throwing me for a loop lately; Valve adjustment intervals. Most all Kawasaki street bikes call for a valve clearance check/adjustment every 7500 miles. Honda is usually 15,000 and Yamaha is often 26,000 miles. I do my own services, which helps a lot with the cost, but it does take many hours to do carefully. For someone who rides a lot, the idea of a 26,000 mile interval sounds awfully nice.

    Theres actually only a couple horsepower difference between the 599 and 636 versions before 7000rpms. Its above that where the 636 starts to take over. Mid range through top end it pulls away.

    just a little something on the M4 exhaust they're actually really bad for the Kawasaki and Suzuki because once you put on the M4 exhaust they actually lack torque and horsepower because of that specific exhaust system I do not know why but I forget what channel has it to show on Dyno and everything that the M4 exhaust actually takes away torque and horsepower just something to think about but yes they do sound badass though!!!!....

      I had a 2014 650 and upgraded to a 2105 ZX6R 636 ABS after a year. The ZX6R chassis is SO much better! I have been riding bikes for more than 25 years, but I think if you can handle the 650 you should be fine on the ZX6R. You can always dial the power down until you get comfortable if you want. Personally, I feel much more confidence on the ZX6R then I had on the 650.

    but altogether the new Kawasaki ZX6R - 636 these new ones like the 2015 and 2016 and 2017 I'm pretty sure they're very good on power and also the seating position is very very comfortable along with their feels like your handlebars are closer to you like everything is closer it feels like instead of you being hunched over or always leaning on your hands with your body which becomes very uncomfortable with somebody's obviously when I got on the 2016 ZX10 it was like heaven like I don't want to get off of it LOL......

      Buy the bike you want, and ride within your skill range. Never get too confident and you have nothing to worry about. Started on a 1000 and never went above 7k rpms for the first 6 months. Never dropped it, never wrecked. Just ride within your skill level, and respect the bike. You’ll save sooo much money in the long run, and you’ll never have to deal with the headache of selling a used 300 without taking a huge loss. You will want something more long before a 300 will pay for itself.

    AK, would you recommend this over the r6 and CBR600rr. Would you also recommend this as a starter bike?

    • @TheSoulMan11
      @TheSoulMan11 8 років тому

      They're both lacking right now, wait for the 17 models for any change. The cbr600rr hasnt really been changed as long as the r6 as and thats been 8 years ago. Honda kept the same gauge in the 600 for 13+ from the eariler years and the r6 hasnt changed since 2007. sad to say a GSXR would closest to compare to the Ninja. The 636 has great features, slipper clutch being one and traction control.

    • @vikrambharati2151
      @vikrambharati2151 8 років тому +1

      Shift-Light Yeah I agree. I feel like the updated r6 is gonna look great. but at the same time, I'm also thinking about a daytona 675. Mainly because of the triple torque. The r6 only has torque near the top

    What are your thoughts on the handling/ride comfort on the zx6r as opposed to the r6? Kind of undecided between the upcoming 2017 r6 and the 2016/17 zx6r.

    Let me the forks red because the kill switch is red now if you were to have them green you would have multiple colors in a row. Consistency simple as that consistency
